Safe rooting tool? - General Questions and Answers

I was wondering if kingroot was safe, because it looks pretty sketchy to me. Also is Amazon Fire 5th Gen SuperTool a safe tool to use when rooting?
I am going to root a "LG L22C Power"
Thanks!

when you are using vengeance kernel, you can root by flashing a root package, e.g. SuperSU. But I thought that the kernel was with autoroot?

Are you too lazy to search ,just joking search in general section, here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42119438 just turn on usb debbuging and run "Run.bat" file ,then follow the steps.
motorchopper didn't work for me on the latest firmware. Looks like works, but it's only partial root. You need the remountfix.
Had to use this instructions for a full root.

I don't know, for me it works.I think this is not full root, because to have full root you need to unlock your bootloader.

No you don't. The above will give you FULL root. Trust me, I'm full rooted and have unlockable bootloaders. I've deoxded, busyboxed, changed by notifcation bar height, icons, everything that needs FULL root and it runs fine. Before that with only motorochopper, it wasn't a full root. The above remount fix will.
just flash 15.0.A.1.31 kernel when you done with your rooting with doomloard method reflash your 15.0.A.2.17 kernel

[Q] Root Zenfone 5 / Xposed on Zenfone 5

Hi,
I just bought the Zenfone 5 from Asus (bought in India). The model number is ASUS_T00J.
I need help/directions on rooting. The only reason I am rooting my phone is to be able to run the Xposed modules..So if theres a way to do that without rooting, that would be perfect.
Thanks!
~Nick

Yes, this root method works. But make sure you have disabled your wifi/data connections before rooting.

Here is the latest firmware for the N920T (N920TUVU4DPK6).
This is uploaded to the super quick Android File Host.
You need Odin to flash this!
If you are not sure how to flash this please see the many other guides on this forum.
Download Note 5 N920T N920TUVU4DPK6 MarshMallow Firmware
Why is it a .zip? Are you sure this is for Odin use?

Thanks for replying, I actually did unzip this before leaving my comment, it looks like a custom Rom on my end complete with super su and everything also no .tar or .md5 in the archive, no worries I found a different link and already updated the phone. Just wanted to give a heads up to the OP

There are guides to rooting the note 5 in this forum.. just have to look for them.
THERE IS a guide on rooting dpk6 however its deeply engranded and convoluted cause everyone did root ages ago before these updates....before we all jumped back on our note5....after note7 lmao

I've tried a couple of mirrors and the .zip fails the integrity test? Is anybody else having the same problem?
Edit: It's fine, IZarc reports a problem but WinRAR doesn't.

will my samsung pay work again?
No.
No.
Samsung and Android Pay require a level of security that is broken when you root your device.
The ONLY way to get them to work is to unroot your phone and go to the stock “out of the box” version. Meaning, no root.
How can i root on this Version?
The same way you root the other ROMs.
Odin the ROM, then Odin TWRP, then flag superuser in recovery.
If you aren't familiar with rooting Android them PLEASE read up on it first. There are plenty of theads on here on the subject. If you're not familiar with that you are more likely to do damage to your phone, like bricking it.

I got ATT LG G4 unlocked non-rooted with android 6.0 H8101020n on it.
Ended up with rooted Android 5.1 H81010o with working tethering.
Steps:
1) downgrade to H8101010o using this method:

2) root using this method

There is a methode that i have recently found working for all AT&T mobiles :
1) Download "Settings Database Editor" in appstore
2)Open that app and find scroll until you find a setting named "tether_entitlement_check_state", click on it
3)Click on "edit value"
4)You will find a number down to "edit setting" (5 or 4 usully), remplace them by -1
5)Click on "save changes" and enjoy
