Watchface in bright sunlight - Samsung Gear S2

Has anyone found a watchface that's real easy to see outdoors in bright sunlight? If so which one. It seems like everyone I've used is hard to see outside in the sun.

For me, the stock classic is real easy to see. Are you using black or white faces? Also you could try turning up your brightness level before going outside as you can't change it once it seems the sun

Been using this one. I'll have to try turning the brightness up some.

[Q] Outdoor Viewing

How does the screen look outdoors?
I know its ips not the ips+ gorilla glass that is on the prime. How do they compare?
Is it readable and usable or do you find yourself using a makeshift sun visor with your hands to read the screen?
Display units in stores always have good lighting and great screen but Best Buy won't let you test tablets out in the parking lots. While most of the time I will use a tablet indoors, on occasion I will be outside, sitting out on a deck or using it in as a passenger in a car. Web browsing and using the office applications would be general use of the tablet. Some movie watching and angry birds in the mix.

You can definitely see the screen outside, to be honest i think the fingerprint smudges make it most difficult to see the screen in bright sunlight rather than the brightness being too low. If you wanted to realistically be able to use it outside then you would probably have to find somewhere in the shade, unless its a cloudy day, then youll be fine.
One issue I have, and living in South Florida it is kind of a big deal, is that turned portrait with polarized eyeware on the screen goes black. Turned landscape no issues... Coming from the original transformer this disappoints me. I had no issues on the og tf...

Yep, that's how a polarizer works with all LCD screens. I won't bore you with the physics.

Only taken entry level waves, but don't lcds emit polarized light in the first place?

Well in the UK we're having a sunny spell right now and as I type I'm on my TF300 in the sunlight. I'm facing the sun so it's behind my tablet, I've got Polarised glasses on and I'm having no issue seeing the screen. It seems fine for web browsing though to be fair I'm yet to try a video. Wiht polarised glasses on I can still see the screen no matter the direciton. If I face the screen to the sun it's only clear enought to read black text on white.
I just took a picture of my tablet on my DHD in the sunlight. It's clearer for me than what it shows in the picture but it might give you an idea.

So I went to watch Pokemon 8) in the sun, was quite difficult to see clearly. It was impossible to see an object a similar colour to the background.

In-Display frame and a spot

Hi everyone.
Just got my new S6 (non edge) today. While I'm installing my apps by sitting in the garden, the sun shines directly to the display and I saw just two things I can not recognize.
Around the display is a frame inside, which is showing up, when there is a white background in a lighten environment where the auto brightness is setting up to a maximum . Its hard to photograph, but I tried it. The "zebra-look/stripes" are from taking the photo, its not present on the display.
After that I saw a spot on the upper side in the middle of the display, too.
Anyone else? Or is this no problem? Doesn't looks nice when the sun is shining and you are using the phone...

My phone has the same thing when in direct sunlight showing a white image I can see what looks kind of like a faint black border on the edge like in your bottom left corner picture.
I literally just saw this when I was outside today, fortunately I was not able to see it inside or under normal lighting conditions. It's most likely a shadow of sorts from light reflecting inside the display assembly. I don't think it's a big deal tbh.
Yeah quite possibly a shadow of the assembly. My fingers make shadows on the screen in direct sunlight unlike any phone I've seen before.
If you look hard enough, it looks like a G.
Its rhe panel in behind the screen guys

light bleed?

Ok... am I imagining things, or do some of the lines/text on a dark background show a fuzzy haze around them? I'm looking at my watch face, and some areas the text is razor sharp, where other areas there is fuzziness around it.
It shows up with the watch face and with text... but not evenly.
When I take a screen shot, it isn't there on my phone.

Always on display brightness?

How bright is your always on display time and date? Mine is almost always full brightness (that is, as bright as it would be in the phone was on) although occasionally it's dimmer.
Mine is never bright, kind of dim all the time. I don't think the light level in the room changes it. In a normally lit room, I can see it just fine, dim but there. I can see it better in a darker environment and in direct sunlight, I'd have to shade the phone.
My wifes S8 had it and didn't like it. I at the the time didn't care much for it myself, i've got it turned on my my Pixel2. It does make it easier to find the phone in darkness.
I did a factory reset, restored from the cloud backup and then the display was dim. For two hours. Then it got bright again

Do you have a protector that covers the ambient sensor? If it does depending on material and lighting the phone may think it's brighter than it actually is and turns up the brightness.

mines bright as hell in direct light, and dim without.

Covering the sensor makes it really dim. Shining a bright light makes it bright.
Compare the first response, whose phone was always dim.
Thanks

Question Matte/non reflective screen protector for Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic

Not sure if anyone has this problem but whenever I'm outdoors in bright sunlight, I find the AOD mode to be far too dull to be seen properly. I've tried different watch faces and nothing really helps.
Does anyone know of a screen protector that is non-reflectives/matte?
