Here's a TWRP backup from my US Unlocked after 1.57.617.32 RUU and OTA to 1.57.617.41. These images should pass verity.

Sorry everyone, I caught a typo in the version number, this link is for 1.57.617.41 **NOT** --.42.

I flashed the following factory firmware image on my XT1541;
Retail Europe (2GB) - XT1541_OSPREY_RETEU_2GB_5.1.1_LPI23.72-33_cid7
from here and followed the steps on this page to do so.
I updated to MM through OTA, flashed TWRP from here through fastboot, booted in to TWRP and flashed SuperSU v.2.65 from here.
I then reboot the phone and it gets stuck on the white "unlocked bootloader" screen.
I've repeated this process twice now, same thing. :/
Any ideas?
EDIT: I tryed flashing factory 5.1.1 through fastboot again, to get the phone working. But now I can't even do that.
When I enter "fastboot flash partition gpt.bin" I get the following error;
(bootloader) Preflash validation failed
FAILED (remote failure)
If you have a twrp backup from marshmallow, restore system. Then flash superSU 2.62-3 from here http://download.chainfire.eu/751/SuperSU/BETA-SuperSU-v2.62-3-20151211162651.zip.
SuperSU 2.65 don't detect properly the need to install it in systemless mode and try to install in system. V.2.62 is only systemless.
If you don't have the system backup, I don't know how to revert the modifications made by v. 2.65, but it's possible.
Good luck.

Thank you. I did not have a backup, but I was able to flash factory 5.1.1 by skipping gpt.bin.
I then updated to MM through OTA, flashed TWRP and SuperSU v2.62-3.
Is there a reason why later versions of SuperSU do not install systemless on our phone and therefor cause the bootloop?

I had a similar experience with v2.65. I know systemless root is experimental and all the current versions are beta. But I don't understand the reports from others indicating 2.65/2.65/2.67 work just fine on their G3. Is it possible that once 2.62-3 is installed, the later versions will flash properly?
Flash this supersu file , it will remove all latest binaries of supersu. And your phone will start.
https://download.chainfire.eu/204/SuperSU
Then flash supersu2.63 to root.

Where did you find OTA for XT1541_OSPREY_RETEU_2GB_5.1.1_LPI23.72-33_cid7? I've flashed this factory image but I haven't received OTA for this build and I haven't found an OTA file on Internet.
Could you share the OTA that you've used?

The thread linked contains only MY OTA for XT1541 2GB.
Are you really sure that tour source build was LPI23-72.33 ?
So, I was trying to flash the verizon radio on to my unlocked htc 10. I installed twrp, rooted it, and s-off'd it, but it wasn't working (Once you reset the phone after s-off it doesn't have root anymore.) So, I decided to convert it to a Verizon variant using, https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-htc-10/how-to/guide-convert-unlocked-to-verizon-t3380615.
I was trying to root my phone and ADB sideloader kept coming up with, "you need 1.0.32 or newer to sideload on this device." I have the latest version of ADB so it shouldn't have been coming up with that message. My phone is the European version and I am trying to convert it to the US version by loading SuperSU. I backed up my system image before I rooted it. If I restore that system image will I still have s-off and an unlocked bootloader?
Any help would be awesome! I'd really like to get this working with verizon
I've got my FRD-L14 (64GB US honor 8) running stable with B360 firmware (released 02-13-17) bootloader unlocked, SU flashed via TWRP.
I wanted to try the latest B385 OTA firmware flash so I used fastboot to flash my current stock B360 System.img, boot.img, and recovery.img to be sure I am running all stock boot/system files before flashing the B360 OTA.
I rebooted from fastboot successfully and continued with the OTA interface to install latest system update, it rebooted into Huawei recovery interface, verifying, installing, and then fails to verify and install.
Do I really have to lock the bootloader and wipe the entire phone in order to install latest OTA and then re-unlock bootloader, reflash twrp, and restore data ?
Thanks !
Well, that wasn't hard.
I used the "download latest full package" in the top-right menu of the OTA updates screen. This successfully installed B385 OTA update package for me without failure, while bootloader unlocked. Imagine that. I hope this helps someone else! Now, to figure out how to use magisk rather than supersu....

same here hahaha updating now.
Hello there.
I unlocked my bootloader a long while ago, then flashed TWRP on my TW U11+. Now recently I have seen that there's an update and I get the popup from my updater.apk on my HTC U11+.
My phone is on 1.24.709.7 update. And it's I think most definitely the ASIA_TW version.
Mid - 2Q4D10000
Cid - HTC__621
So I try to update but of course fail because my recovery was TWRP so of course that it did not work. Then I hear that you need to have stock recovery, so what I do is I get stock recovery.img, go to download mode and flash it through the command "flashboot flash recovery recovery.img. I get the success command and I reboot and try download the OTA once again, then I try to update it. It does go to stock recovery but then it "updates" til 25% and then it's stuck. Then after like 10 seconds it just simply gives my this Red Triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle of it. So I press power button and vol down to get off that mode and that's it. It won't update to the newest OTA.
I flashed 1.24.709.7 recovery at first. It didn't work then I flashed 1.24.709.8 recovery but still no avail.
Can you guys please help me? I really don't know what I am doing wrong.
Thanks in advance
I am having the exact same problem. I wish I had the HTC__621 recovery, but I haven't been able to find the correct one.
Hopefully somebody will see this. Every link that looks like the right thing is dead.
Same problem
I had the same problem, too.
But I find a way to update to 1.24.709.8.
That is: I decide to flash the 1.24.709.8 version's RUU .
Hope this can help you.
U11+ All TW version's image and OTA :
//drive.google.com/drive/folders/1kNE8rN8yUBPo9vux9G3CMvUzg3cg0lQ3
Thanks for the link.
However the problem that I'm experiencing is that whenever I flash either 1.24.709.7 or 1.24.709.8 RUU. It just won't flash over fastboot. So what I do is I put it on my SD card then put the file and rename it to like 2Q4DIMG.zip and go to recovery and still won't flash it correctly.
I'll try it again today to see what error code I get from it.
Did you unlocked or rooted your u11+?
Sorry for the late reply man.
My HTC u11plus is unlocked and I also have rooted my phone via magisk.
You can't update with official ota if unlocked, you need to relock and have the stock recovery. Relock will wipe your data I think
You can OTA with unlock, but you must run pure stock ROM. I RUU my phone and successfully apply the OTA.
Magisk did modify /boot partition so OTA wont apply with Magisk. You have to restore stock boot, OTA, then patch the boot again to preserve Magisk. Also if you use 3rd party recovery you have to restore the stock one.
All partition image can be found in the RUU with https://forum.xda-developers.com/chef-central/android/tool-universal-htc-ruu-rom-decryption-t3382928 but you must make sure you flash the version match your current system. If not the only way might be RUU your phone.
I have also had the exact same issue with updating the latest OTA update. I have TW model, it was unlocked and rooted with magisk. I relocked bootloader, stock boot img and still the update wouldn't install. I even tried flashing 1.24.709.7 RUU in downloader mode but failed remote: 22 RU_HEADER_ERROR.
Would love any ideas or help.
*UPDATE*
Finally was able to update to 1.24.709.8 OTA. I needed up unlocking the bootloader again, then downloaded the 1.24.709.7 full image from
drive.google.com/drive/folders/1kNE8rN8yUBPo9vux9G3CMvUzg3cg0lQ3
Extracted the rar file and manually installed the boot, recovery and system images separately and rebooted. Downloaded the update and installed, everything worked sweet!!

Thank you very much for this. I will try this tomorrow or something.
I will post my results here.
Btw is there any update for Emea region? They did one a month ago for TW models and since then no words about Europe and Middle East
Does anyone have a link to 1.24.401.7 9.0_CL1010171 ? I'm trying to find stock recovery that matches with stock rom and can't find it anywhere.
Magisk and TWRP installed at the moment.
I've got stock boot.img backed up before installing Magisk but there was no way to boot (without flashing) TWRP in order to backup stock recovery that came with U11+.
Cheers

yeap but why you want ota update when you have bl unlocked and twrp installed
Sorry to disagree, but my Poco F1 is unlocked and rooted (twrp + magix) and i still receive ota
It just "unroot" and replace twrp by the stock recovery each time an ota updates the phone
Yesterday i received the Android 10 OTA update. just have to reflash recovery with minimal_adb_fastboot, then reinstall magix. Tha't all
(if any question, i root for Titanium backup usage and Adfree )
Unlocked boot custom recovery never got one update so flashed a beta ROM instead and never looked back if I want to update just download the latest version of the ROM I currently use and flash away........
Flash Orangefox recovery enable ota update feature, then clean flash your stock rom. You don't have to do anything after that. when update shows up download and update as usual
