OK so I installed ice Rom for the D801 and start getting those cell signal cut outs
They happen every 20 second or so....in an indefinite loop...I can't talk over with anybody my calls only last 20 seconds... I saw my bars go out like when you are in the dessert and there is no cell towers nearby...isaw the icon revolving looking for signal then after 1 second the bars return then the lte data and again...around 20 seconds later the cycle repeats over and over...I restored my nandroid backup that contains cloudy 3.3 and was workingbfine... Butbnow I still got the same issue...the nandroid restore won't fix the signal lock loss problem... Help. Max

******** FIXED *******
I wanna share how i fixed my D801
I was desperate as nothing seems to work
so i came across this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g2/development/rom-tmo-lp-extreme-v1-0-4-16-15-t3084681
I flashed the stock LP 20b BASEBAND there
and then flashed the extreme ROM
to my bad luck EXTREME rom just boot looped
So, i tried a couple of times wiping the dalviks and cache after each pass
Nothing....
Then... all was lost and i was going to QUIT....
i Flashed Cloudy 3.3 again... in top of the just flashed BaseBand
and guess what....
My Baseband version came back on the software info page on my D801
and the Signal Drifting problem gone AWAY!!!!!! YAHOOOOO!!!!!
Somehow... when you read UKNOWN on the baseband entry on your phone.. means problems
to me it was signal lost every 20 or so secinds
PAIN IN THE ARCEEEE
So all was come back to normal...
Just want to add that before i done my flashing that messed up my modem or radio
i performed a twrp backup...
and when on the middle of the problem... restoring via twrp from my backup
wont fix the problem... even that i made a backup with a perfect working phone!!! odd!!!
so flashing that baseband saved my A...
Thanks to all that helped me or tried to help me on this nightmare
ICEROM ****ed up my D801... why ? i dont know ( i did all the wipes and stuff)
Max.

Ive been using NRG roms since I got my fuze, and had good luck with the warhawk and later genisis 9/6 build. Since upgrading to the genisis 9/20 build its all went down hill and now no matter what rom I run I get the same issues.
It will show H in the title bar and anywhere from 1-3 bars inside my house and as soon as I try to open a webpage I get the circle around the signal bar and it drops signal. Also my phone will go hours without any connection or signal at all until I either restart it, or turn off 3g.
With 3g disabled everything is fine, I can browse the internet and for the most part I keep service.
Right after I first upgraded to the 9/20 build I also flashed my radio to the 1.14.25.35 from the 1.14.25.05 that NRG reccomended for the rom, as well as ran the riphone.cab for the radio. Ive since reverted back to the 9/6 build and 1.14.25.05 radio and the problem persists. I have also tried the 1.02.25.32 radio with the same issues.
When I can get internet over 3g it doesnt last very long and times out quite frequently. Anyone else having problems with data transfers over 3g?
Do you ever flash back to stock ROM in between flashes?
That will likely resolve your issue.
No Ive never flashed back to the stock rom
I would strongly suggest it.
Otherwise you'll spend hours troubleshooting an issue that is actually caused by your previous flash.
alright I found one, Ill give it a try for a day or so and see how things go. Thanks
If the stock ROM fixes your issue, you just have to remember to flash it before you flash a cooked ROM and always Hard reset between each.
I just go the stock rom flashed, its still dropping connection most of the time I open it even tho it says I have 2 bars signal with H. As soon as I update weather it switches to 3g shows signal then switches to Edge then disconnects.
Before I flashed the stock rom I tried a clean flash of the nrg genisis rom and flashed the radio to 1.14.25.35 as well as installed the cab file for the rilphone and it wouldnt even attempt to make a date or phone connection until I uninstalled the rilphone dll.
Can someone explain the nature of the reboots that they are experiencing? I had a reboot on Friday but it was much more then just a reboot, after the phone was finishing powering back up I had no ability to call out as if there was no service. I tried numerous battery pulls and even had Verizon do a reset on there end, nothing helped yet I was still able to receive and send data. Finally after about an hour my service was back. Then the same thing happened again yesterday, I went through the same processes with no success yet. I have tried all the different radio choices and nothing is working, does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!!!
Also I am rooted and using the stock rom
Bump..........
Did you do any radio flashes? I know mine rebooted on me when I was trying to flash the GB leak from yesterday and there wasn't even a signal bar...just blank space. I reflashed my radio and everything was ok.
Edit: read the last line that I missed before. I am assuming if you are on a stock rom that you didn't flash any radios (otherwise it would have been noted). Thats the only thing that I have run across causing issues. SMH
Yes, I had similar problem
I was running the Stripped Das BAMF with the new radio (same as the one that recently came out OTA) and had this no service problem twice. Since I'm in a 3G only area, I have been using CDMA auto(PRL) and use the Phoneinfo app to change it. I tried to change the network type to something else but couldn't change it. (I presume the network type is for data, but I was trying to see if changing it would affect the service). The other options were there, but I couldn't select anything other than the CDMA auto. A battery pull fixed my problem both times.
Now I'm running BAMF Remix 1.6.3 with the new radio and everything is fine. I don't change the voltages or overclock. Yesterday as I was driving around town the phone rang, but I didn't answer it. When I got home, the phone had powered down and did a reboot.
Just an additional thought. You might try doing a data wipe/factory reset to see if that helps. Of course, you lose your settings that way, so back up first.
I ran the louder volume hack.app v3.5 and lost radio signal. I have a rooted phone but have done nothing else to the phone. I ran the louder volume hack.app not knowing it was discontinued. The program didn't seem to work os I rebooted the device to see if that was the problem. This is when I noticed I had no mobile service at all. I have rebooted the phone, pulled the battery, done factory reset, and nothing seems to help. Where the icon was showing bars, it is now showing a circle with a slash in it. Can anyone help me Please!!

I would flash the stock rom and radio see if that does it
lost radio signal.
I have now reflashed the kernal - kernel-att-stock-2.3.6.zip, SkyRocket ICS (2.3.5 Gingerbread) - Rc 6.75 Stock rom, and Original Shipped AT&T Skyrocket Radio I727ATTKJ2 and RIL. I still have no radio, signal, nothing. Everything else still works fine but no mobile service, or data at all. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I finally got it!! I found this fixdLA3modem.zip here on XDA, flashed it, and got everything working. The circle with a slash has changed back to bars and now I have the 4G symbol back. Thanks.
So here's my issue, my Galaxy S Blaze has been switched from ROM to ROM constantly, I have seen ROMS with modified build.props, other added features, and a bunch of other tweaks, you name it! I don't know what all those tweaks mean, I have no idea if it could affect the way my phone receives the signal but it got me so frustrated that I kept switching roms until finally then I went back to stock and am no longer am switching to another ROM.
Here's a history of the ROM switching I've made in the past couple of months:
1st - MIUI
2nd- Cyanogenmod
3rd- Gummy ROM
4th- Liquidsmooth ROM
5th- Cyanogenmod
6th- Dirty Unicorns (problems with signal started occurring right about here, and onwards)
7th- Stock ROM (hmm... nope nothing fixed.)
8th- Validus (still no, I didn't like the constant force-closing of many apps)
9th- Gummy ROM (nope, what's worse is my screen kept freezing if I had atleast 2 apps open and I slid down the notification drawer)
10th- Cyanogenmod (well, maybe switching to cyanogenmod will fix it)
11th- Gummy ROM (*sigh* switching back? Nope, still didn't help my signal)
12th- Stock ROM (you would expect it to be fixed right about here, but nope)
So what's up what is the exact problem with my signal? Here's the thing: My signal works! That's a start atleast. However, if I turn on my Wi-Fi while I'm home, I can still call/text people, all of that works. But after maybe 2 hours or so, the signal bar is still there, it's telling me it has signal and it's connected, SOMETIMES it will be empty meaning I have no signal(when I really do). But in reality, I can't receive texts, nor calls, none of that. So how do I fix it? By restarting my phone sadly, that has been the only solution for me for these past 2 months. People have complained to me because I don't answer my phone anymore, well I'm sorry my phone can't receive those calls due to this messed up signal. There are 3 other T-Mobile phones in the house that have no problem! The problem here is with my Blaze phone.
So what if I turn the Wi-Fi off for the whole day and see if it's the main thing causing the issue? Well, I did this. Turns out that the signal stays on longer than when I'm on Wi-Fi but it still goes out. I have switched SIM Cards, I have tried switching my APN: from "epc.tmobile.com" to "fast.t-mobile.com" but the problem appears to happen more quickly on the "epc" one than the "fast" one. Please help me with this, this has been frustrating me a lot lately. I'm not sure if anyone has even had the same exact problem that I'm having, I've searched online but haven't seen a similar problem.
Some of you might say, wow that is a lot of ROMS you've switched to, I'm sure there were more that I missed but that's as of recent. I can install ROMS correctly, I know how to use CWM when installing a .zip and using Odin when it's a .tar(or other supported file extensions). I've factory reset, wiped the cache, the dalvik cache, all before installing a new rom. After installing each rom, I've also factory reset and wiped the cache to make sure no other problems could affect the way the rom would work. Hopefully I did the procedure right, thanks for anyone who's willing to help me!
Right now I am running:
Baseband Version:
T769UVLH5
Kernel Version:
3.0.8-perf-T769UVLH5-CL990184

Android Version:
4.0.4
Another Issue is that I can't even transfer files to and from my phone when connected to my computer! This is another big issue, here are some images:

Here's what happens when I turn Wi-Fi Calling on but maybe it's just a built-in function that I forgot it had and it's probably normal:

By the way, sorry for the links just copy and paste them in a browser to and remove the spaces between the http :// and i.imgur, thanks! Unfortunately, I can't post links until I reach 10 posts. If the links don't work for you, I've also provided attachments.
Many thanks!!!
That last picture does show the proper function of Wi-Fi calling however I don't know what to say about the rest of your problems.

There are two things I would recommend trying...
1. Use Blackhole System Wipe
I know you've been following all the proper steps in CWM (and I would say to keep doing so), but I've added using Blackhole, in addition to the first steps, and I always get great system performance on my phone, and my parent's phones (I put them on ProvisionMod after stock was being stupid). It works well for pre installation for ANY ROM and helps prevent pesky issues. However, chances are, your issue is baseband related and this probably won't solve it... But still! You never know! It's worth a shot!
2. Reroot your phone
I know this will be annoying and pesky... but sometimes the process goes wrong from the beginning and starts giving issues later on... When I first rooted my mom's blaze, something went wrong, despite my following all the directions, and one of her partitions was completely disabled, no matter the ROM. I redid the process of rooting her phone (not from GB though... From the ICS stock) and fixed the issue instantly! I would try these two steps first and see if they do anything! Good luck!

It seems I have managed to solve it by myself. I have loaded factory image of 44S, preformed OTA upgrades and it seems the issue is gone.

Hi, Last week I had my phone connected to power bank over night with "Sleep as Android" turned on. In the morning I got my wake up alert but I was unable to wake up my screen to turn it off... so I had to keep the power button down and shutdown the phone.
After that I have faced boot loop (phone worked fine previous evening).
I have tried rebooting phone couple of times but nothing worked so I have restored backup of last CM11s from TWRP (I was running on CM12 nightly during the crash). Phone booted up poperly and I thought everything is fine however after couple of hours I noticed my phone is asking me for my PIN so it has apparently rebooted. It appeared that it is rebooting every couple of hours and after every call (like 5 sec after call ended)...
I have tried restoring other backup but I was facing the same issue. I have done clean install of current CM12 nightly and got the same...
Facing that I decided to clean my phone completely... I have backed up all my data and did wipe and format of everything of everything I could from TWRP. Then via fastboot I have been tring loading YNG1TAS17L 64GB (from here) by flash-all.bat file. After loading bootloader I have received message <waiting for device> and my phone got hardbricked...
I managed to recover it using this guide.
Then I loaded TWRP again and installed COS 12.
On that point my phone started working stable but after a while I noticed that is started losing cell signal. Sometimes it was just for couple of seconds and sometimes it lost it for good (while tring to hardcode cell operator I was getting "error while searching for networks" and I was able to restore connectivity after couple of reboots).
I decided it could be radio/modem related so I have applied full firmware. No go. Loaded CM12 nightly - the same, loaded that modem from oxygen again - no go.
I have tried installing latest BlissPop, Mahdi ROMs and Oxygen and still facing the same issue.
Tested SIM card on other phone and it works fine, tested other SIM card on my OPO and still the same issue so it is phone related.
Getting the following in logcat during time phone is unable to connect to cell signal:
Code:
05-31 11:57:36.265 D/GsmDCT ( 2457): [0]isDataAllowed: not allowed due to - SIM not loaded and not NV subscription
05-31 11:57:36.265 D/GsmDCT ( 2457): [ApnContext:mms] getApnSetting: apnSetting=null
05-31 11:57:36.268 D/GsmDCT ( 2457): [0]isDataAllowed getRecordsLoaded=false
Anyone has any idea what could be a reason of this issue and how to fix it? At this moment everything is working fine except phone calls and Internet over network operator (Wifi works fine). Thanks in advance.
UP
Anyone has any idea? I believe I have narrowed the problem down a bit. It seems 2G/3G is affected only. As long as I'm in LTE range the connection is stable (that explains why I noticed the problem after few hours when I left home).
I have played a bit with hardcoding band and noticed that LTE is running stable (with GSM Signal Monitoring app). When switching to 3G it is dropping every couple of seconds. The strange thing is that 2G is sometimes affected and sometimes not... When switching LTE->2G it seems to be running pretty stable but when switching from 3G->2G it is acting the same way as 3G.
were you able to fix it?
I went through same experience except that I can barely connect to 4g, 3g 50% of time. Tried many radios but none worked.

OP updated the post with how it was fixed. Sorry to bump the thread, but thought I'd inform spx that there was an update. Glad it worked out for you OP, I've saved this in case it ever happens to me, and good luck to spx. Hopefully someone puts this info in a sticky so others can try that if they are stuck too.
I fixed it by reflash raido of xnph52q found here. The zip contains more than the radio firmware.

I flashed it before but it didn't work. The only difference is I used TWRP 2.8.6. I remember reading somewhere online that 2.8.7 has issue with OPO

Where is the 44S that OP used? I have something similar happening with my phone. I revived my phone from a hard brick and now it's not connecting to the cell network. Wifi works, IMEI shows when SIM is inserted, no EFS partition backup (I didn't know that was a thing to do until it was too late).
FWIW, my current build is KTU84Q and I'm running CM-11-20141008-SNAPSHOT-M11-bacon
