why you can't flash 4ext recovery?
did you have the device in fastboot mode?
did you type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img?
Yes tried fastboot commands tried rashr flashify 4ext.It flashes but when i try to boot in recovery it gives me black screen and then it boots normalk into os after few secs.Im expirienced with flashing and i tried every method.I heard there is adb method if someone could explain to try that

but i suggest to flash a ruu.exe
edit: which S-OFF method did you use?
Tried doesnt work jogernout bear and rumrunner.Same with adb recovery already tried that

hi, i had the problem that my htc sensation xe wasnt working because it was stuck at the htc bootscreen, so i had the idea to use my backup that was made until i rooted the phone. it was an backup made by the adb commands (.. adb pull / \AndroidBackup). so will it work if i would push this backup back on my phone? (.. adb push C:\AndroidBackup / ) and what do i have to do to get it working again because the fastboot commands are working unproblematic as the phone is in the fastboot menu but if it is in the hboot menu and i try to use adb commands it isnt working anyway. (".. fastboot devices" is working so the phone is recognized but ".. adb devices" doesnt show my phne) i have already tried to reinstall the adb driver but that hasnt changed anything. the device manager of my pc tells me the drivers etc. are working smoothly and i shows the phone as adb device so the driver is installed correctly... my phone is almost bircked, i know how i can solve it and now its a problem of my f******* computer. i hope you can help me to get my phone recognized by the adb commands. thanks

i am not able to do anything.
it happened with me, when i was trying to use the cam of the phone, but wasn't working...
i restarted my phone and all of a sudden it started bootlooping all the time,
was able to unlock the bootloader.
but the phone kept restarting and wasn't able to do anything afterwards...
Reboot to bootloader.
Go to recovery.
ADB is functional and you can use the commands.
EDIT: Are you using/trying to use a custom ROM?

Have you installed the right firmware?
Follow steps 3 & 4 from here.

Try flashing 4ext recovery.
The first guide that I linked you to should help. After flashing the recovery, format all partitions except SD card and then install the Rom.

It's very weird that nothing works and even PG58IMG can't be flashed.
JB Soff is your only option now.

I can only suggest JB S Off right now. It's very weird that an unlocked phone doesn't flash PG58IMG.zip
i was able to flash recovery through method two!
but when restarting, it continued the boot loop!!!
I know this seems to be a common problem, and that I might have found a solution by searching, but I have looked high and low and can not fix my problem.
HTC Inspire 4g from ATT, it was unlocked when I got it. I used EasyAceRoot to attempt to root it (which I believe I did because I used SU successfully). Seems like everything went well but then I tried to install a custom rom and I have had the white screen ever since. I have tried using an RUU at hboot to restore, but I keep getting different errors, most recently it is error 140. I have also tried loading a PD98IMG with different SD cards to no avail. Can anyone offer any advice? Thanks a ton.

But im in S-ON, i didnt think you could flash boot.img with S-ON?
EDIT: I tried to flash the boot.img and got FAILED (remote: signature verify fail)
Any other suggestions?
You can flash from fastboot if your bootloader is unlocked. Re-unlock.

I don't understand. Why do you need to boot it up to unlock it from fastboot? Your bootloader says relocked. Just unlock it the same way you did it the first time around.

Ok i can enter to the bootloader, and also to the recovery, but! when i flash a rom it cant boot on ! i got stucked after the HTC Logo. Also tried to to flash PD98IMG from hboot without succes and the same thing with RUU, in HBOOT the RUU software says that my battery is 30% or less and i have to chargue it, but is full! so have to enter in fastboot mode and it pass that step charguing the ruu but then it send an error that the image restore from ruu cant be completed.
so how do i flash the boot.img from the ROM zip in fastboot?
Btw: S-on AND unlocked bootloader

I already replied to you in the other thread. Please, do not double post your issues otherwise people will be replying the same many times. Ask the mods to remove one of your posts.
It definitely sounds like you need to unlock your bootloader and go into fastboot to flash your boot.img. Hopefully you have a nandroid of the working rom. If you can get into recovery, wipe and restore your nandroid, then fastboot flash the nandroids boot.img. Good luck. Once you get things working, search and get S-Off so flashing roms are easier. I just got S-OFF on my inspire today.

few days ago i got a random reboot on my phone and after that nothing worked ... i found out that my phone is bricked :S
but happily there is an unblock Project here on XDA and it worked for me.
My phone now run the stock 4.0.3 ICS version from HTC.
When i now try to root my Sensation i got the message from control bear that my device is already s-off, but all other apps&programms which need root doesn't work.
I already followed the S-on guide but it didn't help me.
Have some of u maybe an idea how i can get back my root access ?

when you press the button to enable wifi what it shows you?
does it actually enable wifi?
also try to flash 4ext in that way

when you are trying to flash 4ext does your hboot screen says fastboot usb?
do you have enabled usb debugging mode from settings?
try to flash another recovery and see if you have access
yeah it is fastboot usb and debugging is for sure on otherwise adb wouldnt recognize my phone ^^

Use a ruu.exe to return to stock
Relock first the bootloader
After ruu installation unlock bootloader again and flash 4ext
See then if you have access

very strange
it is impossible after ruu and after recovery's installation that you still can't enter to recovery
are you sure you are doing everything correctly?(about recovery)
i am out of ideas right now
edit : previously i think i gave the command in the wrong way
put the recovery.img in your adb and fastboot folder and then do this command
fastboot reboot recovery.img or fastboot reboot recovery recovery.img (i don't remember exactly)
yeah im sure that i do everything right, is it maybe possible that with the unbrick guide i damage something

What do I need to do after flashed RUU to gain back my root? Tried to do it from start which is download the revolutionary tools, but I get "_rawadb_handle_msg: unknown command 69766564" error. How can I fixed it? Or is there anyway to regain my root? I have also tried use the One Click Root. Although the program said I have successfully rooted but I'm not. Please help me... :crying:

Solved it already. :laugh: I download another recovery img file to be flash in bootloader and it worked! Thanks for the root zip file :good: Been searching for solutions for half day >.<
P.S: Everytime I go into recovery mode there's a message under "unconfigured: use 4ext apps to set me up" What apps do I need to set it up?

probably means to install 4ext updater or 4ext control app just to keep the 4ext recovery updated

I have flash Vipers rom and I'm stuck at the screen after the viper moving screen. Any solution to this? tired of all the problems... >.<

i tried to flash CM 11 KitKat the Albino one. i have tried enabling smartflash and then installing the rom but i have had no luck i have tried to flash other roms and it still isnt working i keep getting a bootloop with the htc logo on it.

make sure you have latest 4ext recovery 1.0.0.6 RC1 and now after smart flash try to flash the boot.img from pc here is guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1631861 Extra 1: Flashing "boot.img"
