Hi guys, I have a situation, I have a tmo S6 (SM-G920T), few months ago i started having problems with my usb port, I could charge my phone but my pc wouldn't recognize my phone to transfer data, i had a message "USB device not recognized". as i said I could charge. My problem got worse because last week i received tmo's upgrade to MM (I was in LL). I took the bad decision to take the upgrade, because once the installation was done, my phone tried to reboot and it got stuck on the "Galaxy S6" logo. I have already wiped factory reset and cache, but it's still stuck.
I cannot re-install with Odin because pc does not recognize my phone. Before upgrade I was on Lollipo OJ7 stock and rooted, but now when I go to recovery, I get PD1 recovery menu, I guess PD1 got installed but don't know why it got stuck.
Please, is there a way to rescue my phone??
Thank you

Have you tried a different USB cable, preferably a new, good quality one? Have you tried a different PC? Have you fully uninstalled the Samsung drivers, and reinstalled them (lots of threads on XDA on how)?
Have patience, frustration leads to bad decisions. ?

Hey, thanks for answering, Yes i have tried in multiple computers and with different cables (2 original from Samsung, Lg, Motorola, Nokia and 2 or 3 generic), the same with different versions of drivers, also tried installing drivers from Kies and Smart Switch, but at the end same result "Usb device not recognized", I guess my usb port is damaged.

Got an idea?
I didn't get your first point.
Is your phone able to boot properly? If so try a factory reset or consider flashing stock.

Yeah, same situation on ATT Variant.
I think I'm hard bricked at this point, can't connect to it from pc, cant boot, cant correct with factory reset from boot.
Had to get it exchanged...ugh what a pita that was....makes me cautious of rooting again, never bricked one and I've been doing it since the htc hero lol
What were you doing when it hard bricked?

just an update, after trying to go back to stock via odin, of course it messed up during due to these problems. I finally got it to restore with odin, but i had to go to someone's house to use a different computer(old win xp,upgraded to 7 computer). Anyway i got it restored, thank God, but i was still having trouble with it connecting...switched from my poem cable to an off brand i bought at best buy and been working fine.
Was trying to factory reset because I was getting a usb device not recognized, reset failed on reboot.
Tried diff pc/cable like other user, had no such luck with several different pc's etc.
What about it Odin mode?

Does it recognize it in download mode 'Odin mode'? If yes flash a stock ROM
anyone fix this problem? I just got my galaxy s6 edge (ATT) and rooted it with ping pong.... now cant connect to PC
I rooted my phone with Kingroot and wanted to switch it to Super User so that it would not unroot every time I rebooted.
When I switched it to Super User it told me to uninstall other Root Managers so I clicked Uninstall. It got stuck on uninstalling so I rebooted my device thinking I could just update the binary when my device rebooted. Now I am stuck on bootloop and I never downloaded CWM or TWRP. I have already tried factory reset and cache wipe to no avail. Please help I just bought this phone and honestly have no idea what I'm doing.
Just going to buy a new phone. Never touching anything root again. Wow. Something so silly just costed me $500 dollars.
I want to say I can use Odin on a windows computer to flash the original stock rom back into it but I don't have USB debugging on in my phone so something tells me that's a long shot and a giant headache. going to take it to a phone repair shop in town and see what they say. this sucks.

I'm not sure, but I don't think you need usb debugging enabled. I've flashed back to stock roms before without enabling it (on other phones).

@triiuzii You are correct, you do not need USB debugging turned on as I forgot to turn it on once when testing root options on the j3, and I was still able to flash stock firmware through Odin. Odin is its own separate system to boot into. I don't think it's dependent on other settings. I think USB debugging is only for ADB. I could be wrong but this is just from my personal experience.

Hi
As mentioned by others, you do not need usb debugging to odin flash in download mode.
This is fixable if you have the right firmware. Apologies for the late reply.
I have a massive problem, after days of research i have found NOTHING..
Ok so i had a rooted samsung galaxy s6, i was getting a bit tired of having it rooted (didnt really serve any purpose) so i decided to unroot via the superSU app then i restarted my phone and it hasn't been able to turn back on ever since.. it'll show the logo over and over again when i try to turn it on. I tried wiping the cache partition, wiping the data, rebooting it every single way possible, no luck..
So i decided i had to flash the Rom using the latest version of Odin but the problem with that is that now my phone isn't getting recognized by my computer i have tried installing the proper drivers, changing usb cables, ports, computers.. I even tried installing samsung smart switch and kies but nothing works.
If anyone knows how to solve this problem please help.

Have you tried to get into download mode and run the emergency recovery feature via smartswitch?
I had the same issue with an old S6. The emergency recovery feature asks you the model and serial number of your device and immediately recovers it when you have a bad software restore.

If you can get to recovery mode, you should be able to get to download mode. Serial #s are easy to find with a simple google search. It will depend on what version of S6 you might have.
Edit: It seemed as it solved itself, look in the replies for details
So i have had my gs7 rooted for a year or longer. Yesterday i rebooted my phone and got the error message "Custom binary blocked by FRP lock". Sadly, when i enter download mode and plug it into a pc with odin installed, it is not recognised. Odin does not say anything about a phone plugged in, and windows says the usb is not recognized.
What i think have caused this:
I downloaded an app that allowed me to record internal audio
I turned off developer options, and my stupid ass did not realize that is where oem unlock is located.
What i have tried:
Resetting to factory settings (from recovery mode)
Deleting cache (from recovery mode)
Using odin, but odin does not even recognize my phone
Tried using another computer with odin
tbh, looking at the other posts, i think i messed up. I dont want to send it in for repairing because i will have to pay a lot of money. I have tried sending it in for repairing a while ago. Then my problem was that i could not call with it, but they wanted me to pay the price for a new phone to repair my old phone, since i had rooted it. I did not accept it so i got my phone back, and managed to fix the issue myself. I hope i manage to fix the issue this time aswell.
There are lots of guides online on how to resolve this issue, please Google and read. Please make sure you have Samsung USB drivers installed on your pc

I have samsung usb drivers installed, and download mode has always been working and has always been recognized by odin ever since this happened. And online all i find is that i should boot into download mode and try using odin, but odin does not recognize my phone, nor does my computer.

SOLVED!
The issue fixed itself, im not sure what i did. I was suddenly able to connect my phone to odin. Just incase someone reads this with the same problem. This is what i did: installed smart switch and rebooted my computer. Uninstalled and reinstalled samsung usb drivers.
Before i did those things the issue was still there, i was ready to use smart switch, but i tried odin one last time and it worked. Now samsung pass tells me my phone is rooted, even though it is not (my root dissapeared after resetting my phone), its not that big of an issue, just thought id let you know
