samsung galaxy s6 won't get recognized by computer so impossible to flash Rom - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a massive problem, after days of research i have found NOTHING..
Ok so i had a rooted samsung galaxy s6, i was getting a bit tired of having it rooted (didnt really serve any purpose) so i decided to unroot via the superSU app then i restarted my phone and it hasn't been able to turn back on ever since.. it'll show the logo over and over again when i try to turn it on. I tried wiping the cache partition, wiping the data, rebooting it every single way possible, no luck..
So i decided i had to flash the Rom using the latest version of Odin but the problem with that is that now my phone isn't getting recognized by my computer i have tried installing the proper drivers, changing usb cables, ports, computers.. I even tried installing samsung smart switch and kies but nothing works.
If anyone knows how to solve this problem please help.

Have you tried to get into download mode and run the emergency recovery feature via smartswitch?
I had the same issue with an old S6. The emergency recovery feature asks you the model and serial number of your device and immediately recovers it when you have a bad software restore.

If you can get to recovery mode, you should be able to get to download mode. Serial #s are easy to find with a simple google search. It will depend on what version of S6 you might have.

[Q] phone bricked and not getting detected on computer

Hi,
my friend's Nexus S was stuck in a bootloop. i went into recovery mode and hard reset the phone, so that the phone would come back to stock. however, the phone was being reset when the battery of the phone came off, switching it off.
the phone fails to start. there is no response when i try charging it. Also, it does not go into DOWNLOAD mode or FASTBOOT, so i cant even run any utilities to flash the stock rom back. adb commands as well as the nexus toolkit show that there is no device connected.
can anybody suggest me what to do?? i was gonna try odin but i read somewhere that it is only useful for custom recoveries, not to flash stock roms.
i've gotten some usb drivers mentioned at some thread, saying i would have to update my 'android' device listed in the device manager using them, but i cant seem to find any device mentioned in my device manager either.
any suggestions as to what i should do??

Something like this happened to me a week ago. I have Nexus S 4G. So, I ordered USB Jig from usbjig.com and now I have download mode. It worked!
You can buy USB Jig from that site, or build it yourself, or borrow it from someone.

[Q] Firmware upgrade encountered

So I recently did a factory restore on my S3 for verizon after trying to get the ota update, and for some reason when i connect my device to my laptop it will disconnect randomly.
Now it booted to a screen that says firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please use software repair assistant & try again.
The problem is I tried that and it always gets to like 98% and then it says the phone is disconnected. I can't restart the phone as it always goes back to this screen...
I had flashed a stock recovery and did a factory reset, so I'm not sure why this is happening.
I tried to do an emergency firmware restore in kies, but kies won't even recognize my device.
WHAT DO I DO

Is it possible you have issue with your cable.cable pin? or you can try a different usb port. Did you try the ODIN method?

I have 3 USB ports. 2 are 3.0, 1 is 2.0. If I even try to put it in the 2.0 it won't recognize. It's not the cable pin because I use it for charging and it works perfectly fine.
I've tried doing emergency firmware recovery in Kies but it never completes because it says there was an error. Maybe it's because it won't let me in recovery mode?
Also what is the ODIN method?

Need help with Unrooting Galaxy S7 SM-G930A

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G930A. I recently rooted my phone and it was causing alot of problems such as slowdown and bugs. So, I tried to put stock firmware on it and I was unsuccessful. Now my phone is stuck in a boot loop. I need to know how to properly install stock firmware into my phone because I have followed guides on XDA'S website and Odin keeps failing. I really need help with this because I don't even have a working cell phone.

Download samsung kies 3 and put the phone in download mode and try to recover the phone by flashing the default firmware that came with the phone.
Kies 3 does not support my device (SM-G930A)

Thank you for the response but when I connected my phone to Kies 3, I got a message that said "we do not support this device". I have also tried Samsung Smart Switch and that did not work either. Is there another method for restoring my phone and getting it out of the bootloop?

Yes i know you get that msg in kies but you still will be able to flash the orig fw back to the device with kies. Just put the phone in download mode before hooking up the phone to the pc then start kies
And go to the top bar and select the 4th tab where you will see recovery. Then it will ask you for the model number and some other things and after that it will flash the fw for you. I have done this a couple of times now so i can tell you 100% that it will work

I'm actually trying to do exactly this now, and have tried re-entering the correct model number and serial number into Kies numerous times.
No matter what, Kies continues to state "Please check the model name and enter it" even though all of the info entered is correct.
Any suggestions? I'm doing this with my G930A on Nougat (model "SM-G930A")

(SOLVED) Custom binary blocked by FRP lock message when i try to boot my phone

Edit: It seemed as it solved itself, look in the replies for details
So i have had my gs7 rooted for a year or longer. Yesterday i rebooted my phone and got the error message "Custom binary blocked by FRP lock". Sadly, when i enter download mode and plug it into a pc with odin installed, it is not recognised. Odin does not say anything about a phone plugged in, and windows says the usb is not recognized.
What i think have caused this:
I downloaded an app that allowed me to record internal audio
I turned off developer options, and my stupid ass did not realize that is where oem unlock is located.
What i have tried:
Resetting to factory settings (from recovery mode)
Deleting cache (from recovery mode)
Using odin, but odin does not even recognize my phone
Tried using another computer with odin
tbh, looking at the other posts, i think i messed up. I dont want to send it in for repairing because i will have to pay a lot of money. I have tried sending it in for repairing a while ago. Then my problem was that i could not call with it, but they wanted me to pay the price for a new phone to repair my old phone, since i had rooted it. I did not accept it so i got my phone back, and managed to fix the issue myself. I hope i manage to fix the issue this time aswell.
There are lots of guides online on how to resolve this issue, please Google and read. Please make sure you have Samsung USB drivers installed on your pc

I have samsung usb drivers installed, and download mode has always been working and has always been recognized by odin ever since this happened. And online all i find is that i should boot into download mode and try using odin, but odin does not recognize my phone, nor does my computer.

Please pay attention to guides when messing about with your phone, OEM and Debugg are critical to being able to modify.

SOLVED!
The issue fixed itself, im not sure what i did. I was suddenly able to connect my phone to odin. Just incase someone reads this with the same problem. This is what i did: installed smart switch and rebooted my computer. Uninstalled and reinstalled samsung usb drivers.
Before i did those things the issue was still there, i was ready to use smart switch, but i tried odin one last time and it worked. Now samsung pass tells me my phone is rooted, even though it is not (my root dissapeared after resetting my phone), its not that big of an issue, just thought id let you know

I need help with an old samsung galaxy mini GT-S5570

Hello. i think i bricked my phone by trying to update from micro sd with an update for a different version. It can only go into download mode and recovery mode. I treid to follow other guides using Odin to try and fix it but when i connect the phone in download mode to the PC, Odin does not register this. There is nothing wrong with the cable or USB port either. The phone does register though in recovery mode, but nothing happens during this. Please let me know what I should do.
edit: another thing, i also tried using samsung kies to do the same thing, but the phone gets stuck on connecting and doesnt go any further
also, is it actually possible for this phone to run android 4.0+? or did I just ruin a perfectly good phone.
Thanks, adz09
was time to send it to rest, btw did you try installing samsung smart switch then use odin to try to flash the firmware?
