Hı my devıce ıs E6603
I saw all roms for e6653
Can I use E6653 roms on my E6603?
Lptrex9 where (country, region) did you buy your E6603 device ?
Naturally the device should work with "stock" ROMs and "stock" Kernels (CM13, RR, etc. are a different story, those might or might not work)

okay, so it looks like there's not even differences in supported LTE bands,
only difference appears to be the max download speed (different modem ? or only kernel-related changes ?)
LTE Cat 4 (e6603) vs. LTE Cat 6 (e6653)
300 Mbps vs. 150 Mbps

Hi all
I have a nexus 5 i have ROM cataclysm 4.4.2 installed first i really happy with this custom ROM it is fast stable no real issues
i have 2 questions:
is there any updates like nightly for this custom ROM ?
where i can find them ?
i have the battery draining fast down i installed wakelock detector and found out is it google Now that draining the battery
i did what was suggested clear data (which clears the home layouts back to original one) and stopped for google now the battery is performing better
i don't know if there is already an updated from google to this .. ?
any feedback would great ..
Thanks
D821 N5 LTE signal
Hi all
Another question i have
I'm still using the cataclysm ROM very stable one
my operator activated LTE but i never get te signal of LTE ..
BaseBand/modem version : M8974A.1.0.25.0.23
Build : KOT49H
Kernel version 3.4.0-gadb2201 [email protected] #1 Wed Nov 20 14:42:53 PST 20 13
I was wondering if the Catalysm ROM update also th e modem and if it is the D820 instead of the D821 ?
does the D820 can impact LTE if it is running on D821 since they doesnt use sam bands
I'm in France ..
Thanks for any support and help .

No. Even flashing a modem cannot physically change the hardware.

Thanks for the answer , in fact the question is since in LTE the modem will try the available frequencies (bands) if the modem is US it will try different bands than EU bands
This is why i was wondering if i need to flash it back to EU version (if it gets flashed when i falshed the catcalysm rom with U.S modem)
I'm just trying to understand why i get zero LTE signa while i'm 600m from the tower
Thanks

There are 2 things here:
1) Radio Hardware. This has different bands between D820 and D821
2) Modem Software. There is no difference between US and RoW. D820 Software modem and D821 Software Modem are identical.
So this is not your issue...
Check your APN and ROM settings

oh so i'll try to find a new ROM that is as much stable as this one ..
Trying to determine which region of the latest firmware to flash from xperiafirm for my e6653. I am on AT&T. I've looked around the forum and see the UK + US frankenbuild to make it register as an e6603 using the 6653 UK files + rest of US.
My guesses as to the best are either Nordic Combined (1298-7362) or Customized UK (1298-5496). Both are on build 32.2.A.0.224 but Nordic Combined is on R12C and Customized UK is on R11C.
Does this even matter? Does reception vary with the different firmwares? My reception is pretty bad in the US SF Bay Area with this phone on AT&T.
Thanks!
for what it is worth, i've checked the hashes on the modem files from Nordic Combined vs. the US 6603 build (1300-4290_32.2.A.0.224_R3C) - they're the same.
It doesn't make a difference. The difference is all about bloatware so I always just use the build which is smallest in size.
Saves u some debloating

Any E6653 Firmware will go onto any E6653
But not a e6653 fw on a e6603 for logical reasons some of which resulting in a bricked device possibly

Guys may I know which version u have? This is the first time I'm going to try op phone so I don't want to make any unnecessary mistake.
Is there any difference between the two in terms of custom rom and rooting availability(such as samsung's exynos is easier to get custom rom and root than other version) ? Or any custom rom will fit to either version?
BTW I'm living in Indonesia, do both will work just fine on my country or do I need a specific version in order to use it here?
Thanks people.
need the answer too, some people said using A6000 outside india or china the 4g network may not working.

I have a6003 here in the u.s..
I have A6003 here in the UK
6003 here in Australia - this is the official International version.. There is a 6000 version going around, which seems to be India based - but is being sold as a "flashed OS" version and sold internationally. I would highly suggest getting the 6003 - it seems the most compatible
6003 is for europe/us.
6000 is for chinese/india.
The difference is just the supported bands (6003 supports much more) and the rom, the rom can be replaced easily.
6003 for US/EU/GLOBAL
6000 is for China/India (no play services, few bands missing etc)
this information was received from oneplus directly.
Hi all, I have bought new Sony XZ, In the back of device I see AU SOV34 branch. At present it running on android 7.1
Now I want to upgrade it to 8.0 by flashtool.
But in about phone, I see it model F8331 and in Service Info/Software Info/Customization Version it's 1305-2218_R2D (Hongkong market)
I'm so confused about these pieces of information
Could you please give me an advice. Thanks all so much!
Edit1: I'm in Vietnam Region
I do not think it'll be okay if you flash F8331 firmware over another model, and i think it has some difference between F8331 and Japanese Version (at least on cellular frequencies that means it has possibility to lose its LTE capable).

Thank you, I flashed F8331 version, it's worked. But Android 8 seems to drain the battery faster than android 7 on XZ?
Hey Guys!
So I have just gotten an S7 (930S) and apparently, there is a mismatch between the bands present in the phone and the one offered by my network. I would like to know if I flash 930F modem on my phone would that be ok or not? I just want to flash the modem as well as the CSC of the 930F model. I hope someone can take the timeout to reply to my query.
Thanks

Yes you can, hardware is the same. However when you talk about network bands I assume your talking about the difference between networks using GSM and networks using CDMA? In which case you need to flash firmware which uses CDMA radios.

Well, when I am talking about Bands I am talking about the frequencies in which they operate. For example, my network offers the UMTS 900 frequency, but that frequency is missing from my current modem.
Therefore, I am assuming that if I flash the 930F model's modem, which does supoort the UMTS 900 frequency, I will be able to operate on the UMTS 900 frequency. Can you confirm me on that?
Or will I have to flash the 930F firmware on my phone to operate on the UMTS 900 frequency?

Yes 930F will work and install the radios you require.
The problem I am facing right now is that although the modem (Shannon335) on my phone (G930S - Korean) is the same as that on the international model (930F). But my phone (G930S) does not support one of the bands that my network supports which is UMTS 900 and that band is supported on the international version , although hardware wise (both are Shannon335) they are both the same.
So, I was thinking if i change my modem, currently its a South Korean modem and flash the international version modem could it work and make the band work for me?

Yes it should work
Thank You very much.
I would also like to know how should I choose and which modem to flash on my phone. Which things should I match and what to avoid during the flashing process. I have currently U1 security level modem, so when I flash another modem should it be U1 level as well?

To avoid problems you must match the modem to the version of firmware you are using, so yes U1 to U1. Flash the modem separately via Odin
