My issue is:
I purchased a brand new Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 on 14-Apr-2011.
I am facing the issue related to the connection to my phone network. After I switch on the phone, I get my mobile network signal for about 30 minutes and after that the "No Service" icon is enabled and there is no signal at all in my phone.
I checked the SIM card on a difference phone and there is abosolutely no issue in getting the network signal.
I tried a different service provider SIM on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 and I find there is no issue either.
The problem seems to occur only with my SIM card on this phone. I changed to a new SIM and apparently that also did not solve the issue.
I am also unable to find the "Network Mode" option under the network settings, which I would normally find in other phones.
I tried with the option "Use only 2G network" but that also did not help. I am not using any 3G service at the moment.
I am now stuck in this situation and not able to use my new phone.
I am from Chennai, India and use Vodafine India post paid service.
Hence seeking your kind advice to help me resolve this issue at the earlier.

Hi guys,
I am facing the very same issue.
I contacted my dealer and got the phone replaced.
They supposedly diagnozed some problem and issues a doa on the device
Now, even in my new phone i am facing the same issue
I am using vodafone postpaid and it works fine on any other phone
Also, ive tried my dad's airtel prepaid sim on this phone and it worked perfectly fine for over 2 days
I have tried searching for this issue on any thread for sometime and finally found this

I too have the same problem.
The Network often gets disabled.
i have to either switch off and on it (or go into flight mode and come back) for it to get enabled.
My Sim Card is fine since when i use it in a nokia phone i never get this problem.
Whats worrying me is that this looks more like a hardware problem ... i recently updated my firmware through kies from froyo (2.2) to gingerbread (2.3.4) ... still the problem is persisting.
Many guys are suggesting to contact my dealer .. but i purchased this phone through letsbuy.com. So that option might be a hassle.
So guys any info on this issue ...?

Hi Folks, same problem here in Brazil with S5830B, no service all the time! any ideas????????????????????
U can try to change the modem of the firmware with Odin Multidownloader... try to put an unbranded rom... that works for me in my ACE.
I hope your trouble is silved with this option.... check in the forum of the developement of galaxy Ace a forum for flashing the galaxy ace...
The problem is you guys didn't post in the device-specific forum .
Try flashing a different modem through ODIN

My issue is resolved once I updraded firmware of my phone thru Kies tp 2.3 from 2.2
also you can try following:
dial *#2263#
select GSM mode and then select 900/1800 (or may be if that does not work..select other bands. my was fixed when I selected 900/1800 after I got few emergency call only issue)

I have international model, unlocked nexus s i9023. I recently shifted to India and my nexus is unable to connect to network although 3g data is working fine. I tried all radios available but nothing working even after clean install of stock rom.
Please let me know if any idea what could be wrong. Thanks in advance.

I am with the same problem, but my nexus s model is 9020A and I ve moved from Brazil to UK. Using CM10 with standard configuration (kernet etc). 3g and sms are ok, but during the calls I can't listening or be heard.
UK carrier: 3.

hello there!, i have a relly big problem, i hope you can help me, my device is a note 3 vzw n900v i have it on 4.4.2 and i was having problems with the signal so i think to update with odin to 5.0, thinking that it was solving my proble but guess what!, i have no more signal non on global non on lte non in gsm option, i live in mexico so i dont know how to fix it, i was looking for a solution on the threads an nothing to fix it, there is a guy where i live but he tells me that i have to be root user for fix it with zex tool or some kind like that but neither i can find somthing to root it im currently on 4.4.4 and can jump to 5.0 and backward but no signal no anything, i really need desperate help here i hope you can help me or at least told me why this happened! on imei says unknow baseband the same, ERI unknow, min unknow, prl unknow, iccid unknow, IMS register unknow!!!... please help me!
Hello guys. My father bought me a GS7. It was Verizon but theres no sim lock. I have lots of problems. For ex when i restart my phone it forgets all wifi hotspots. Hi i checked xda and could not find my issue so i hope someone can help me ...im working on an alcatel flint 50540
Ive yet to find one firmware for this model and i paid for a sim
network unlock code and it does not except it ive talk to cricket as well as company who sent me the unlock code and so far nothing ive been told to wipe the software and reinstall i doubt that will help but if is possibility where would i find firmware or if anyone has a clue as to how to remove this dreadful sim lock plz let me know
