My issue is:
I purchased a brand new Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 on 14-Apr-2011.
I am facing the issue related to the connection to my phone network. After I switch on the phone, I get my mobile network signal for about 30 minutes and after that the "No Service" icon is enabled and there is no signal at all in my phone.
I checked the SIM card on a difference phone and there is abosolutely no issue in getting the network signal.
I tried a different service provider SIM on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 and I find there is no issue either.
The problem seems to occur only with my SIM card on this phone. I changed to a new SIM and apparently that also did not solve the issue.
I am also unable to find the "Network Mode" option under the network settings, which I would normally find in other phones.
I tried with the option "Use only 2G network" but that also did not help. I am not using any 3G service at the moment.
I am now stuck in this situation and not able to use my new phone.
I am from Chennai, India and use Vodafine India post paid service.
Hence seeking your kind advice to help me resolve this issue at the earlier.

Hi guys,
I am facing the very same issue.
I contacted my dealer and got the phone replaced.
They supposedly diagnozed some problem and issues a doa on the device
Now, even in my new phone i am facing the same issue
I am using vodafone postpaid and it works fine on any other phone
Also, ive tried my dad's airtel prepaid sim on this phone and it worked perfectly fine for over 2 days
I have tried searching for this issue on any thread for sometime and finally found this

I too have the same problem.
The Network often gets disabled.
i have to either switch off and on it (or go into flight mode and come back) for it to get enabled.
My Sim Card is fine since when i use it in a nokia phone i never get this problem.
Whats worrying me is that this looks more like a hardware problem ... i recently updated my firmware through kies from froyo (2.2) to gingerbread (2.3.4) ... still the problem is persisting.
Many guys are suggesting to contact my dealer .. but i purchased this phone through letsbuy.com. So that option might be a hassle.
So guys any info on this issue ...?

Hi Folks, same problem here in Brazil with S5830B, no service all the time! any ideas????????????????????
U can try to change the modem of the firmware with Odin Multidownloader... try to put an unbranded rom... that works for me in my ACE.
I hope your trouble is silved with this option.... check in the forum of the developement of galaxy Ace a forum for flashing the galaxy ace...
The problem is you guys didn't post in the device-specific forum .
Try flashing a different modem through ODIN

My issue is resolved once I updraded firmware of my phone thru Kies tp 2.3 from 2.2
also you can try following:
dial *#2263#
select GSM mode and then select 900/1800 (or may be if that does not work..select other bands. my was fixed when I selected 900/1800 after I got few emergency call only issue)

it has been a long time since i have messed with this stuff. I have a boost mobile phone that i need to flash so it can be used with verizon towers....I recently lost my iphone and got a LG Venice from my sister. I want to port my number to this phone but the company which i used coudnt help. I use Pageplus wireless and they use verizon towers... If anyone could please help me figure this out it would be great.. I havent had a working phone in a week..If I need to flash do i need certain files for my phone to use with verizon... it's in warranty, right!!.. claim it. in case it's not in warranty, didn't you tested the sim while purchasing the phone?
what and how exactly it happened, what did you do?
I unlocked bootloader, installed stockrom, then kitkat and after that Lollipop. After that I installed an US ROM and then I tried a Brazilian ROM. Both of 'em wont recognize the SIM no more. When I do have a SIM I get a no SIM/no signal. And when the SIM is removed I get only a no SIM notification.
This is driving me crazy =S
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry I cant give out more information cause it was my brother who actually worked on the phone. Im a noob in all this and he doesnt speak english! lol, so if you have any additional questions ask me and I can relay it to him and translate it back. Thanks

the error say "security Error...this phone has been flashed with unauthorized software & is locked. call you mobile operator for additional support...please note that repair/retunr for this issue may have additional cost.
