I have international model, unlocked nexus s i9023. I recently shifted to India and my nexus is unable to connect to network although 3g data is working fine. I tried all radios available but nothing working even after clean install of stock rom.
Please let me know if any idea what could be wrong. Thanks in advance.

Hi there,
I am with the same problem, but my nexus s model is 9020A and I ve moved from Brazil to UK. Using CM10 with standard configuration (kernet etc). 3g and sms are ok, but during the calls I can't listening or be heard.
UK carrier: 3.
Anyone can help us?

hey everyone, on the sasktel network here with my galaxy I9000M. anyways i recently wanted to get my phone back to stock after using roms so i downloaded all of the proper firmware and everything is working great as far as the phone functioning.
the only problem is i can't connect to the network. the firmware i got was for the bell network. Do i need a different modem or something? please help, thanks in advance.

I'm on Vodafone India. I have flashed I5800XXJPU on the I5801 and it works great. I recently activated 3G on the phone but it just doesn't seem to connect..!! Is it a problem with the radio or something, like the radio not compatible for 3G in India??

Flash an asian ROM. I think it's called XXJp4 or something like that and you can also contact vodafone for your APN details.

I think this problem is faced by vodafone users and it has to do with modem

i just purchased a used note 2 today N7100(unlocked international)
it was on version 4.1.1 official samsung
i flashed with odin to 4.3 indian stock rom.
now the phones working but the sim card is not registered on the network. it says emergency calls only.
i checked the phone its not at all black listed and the guy from whom i purchased was using it with his sim in it.
it cozed issues only after i flashed it to 4.3. also this is a phone from dubai as the guy told me.
the imei no is showing still but the network wont get registered. plz help asap!! thanks in advanced.

have you tried using other sims? maybe its not compatible with your specific sim.
maybe you just dont have any coverage, when i get the "not registred on network" message, it usualy means i'm underground, or in a place with low cell coverage, like in the woods or mountains.

The phone is factory unlocked so no issues related to not compatible and I tried with another sim too. Still the same problem. The problem only came when I flashed the 4.3 Indian stock rom. But that rom doesn't have any problem coz I've used on other note 2 too. Something related with the phone.
Hi there if you go into settings and then about device and then status you will be able to see if you have a service state if you don't have any but the network operator appears as well as signal stats. You most likely have a black listed iemi or something happened to the iemi when flashing the rom or more simple is the sim slot is broken. Hopefully you will be able to fix it sorry I can't give you that much help on this subject.

propably your efs is corrupted, ALWaYS BACKUP EfS BEFORE DOING REFLASH!

I bought an unlocked g920a from a store in the us when I've been there and I'm using in my country with different network supplier. The phone came rooted and for some private reasons I need it unrooted. I've installed with odin G920AUCU3BOI2 which is the original at&t 5.1 firmware. The problem is that inspire of network band supported by the phone are the same as my Carrier , I have only 2g and 4g, and I can't connect to 3g at all. I got this problem also with the rooted version came from the store. Any idea how to fix it? Thanks a lot
