Hey, can anyone please upload the scripts in /su.d
Most importantly there should be a 000sd something script.
Please upload it asap if possible.
My device is sort of bricked without it.
The .224 firmware would be best.
Is that from rooted firmware I assume is that not in the su package? I'm not rooted so I don't know and it's not in unrooted stock firmware

Hi community, I have flashed Android 4.2.2 Generic World FTF using Flashtool to my Xperia L C2105, now I want to root it, but I don't know, how to do it. I have found this topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2307983 and there is reference to thread with 4.2.2 root, but I can't go on this webpage, there is some error.
Can somebody give me some tutorial how to root XL working on Android 4.2.2, or explain me?
I have also found Motochopper method, somebody told me that it is right way to root my phone, but I'm not sure because I have read somewhere that Motochopper works only on some Motorola devices.
Maybe I will sell my phone in 3-4 months so I'll need a warranty back, so there should be a way to unroot the phone.
Sorry for my english
Thanks for help, greetings.
The methods that exist to root 4.2.2 firmware on Xperia L are considered unsafe :-/ Therefore the page was removed by xda's mods
And the motochopper method you read about was meant for android 4.1
To unroot you can always restore your device to original firmware, using pc companion, Sony Update Service or flashtool
Ok, thanks. When you say, that root on 4.2.2 is unsafe, do you mean that I won't be able to flash soft back at all? But does some method to root 4.2.2 exists?

Unsafe means those software are suspected to be malicious, more info http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46246819&postcount=1
Okay, thanks. Someone can close the thread, nvm, I'll wait till there will appear some safe and working way to root.
Thank you all.

You can try this method...root 4.2
Rooting using Kingoroot and vroot is risky.. It and IMEI number of your device to their server in China.. And we don't know what it does.. So be careful and don't use these 2 methods

STOP! More info please! Are you only rooted? Bootloader unlocked? S-OFF or S-ON?
If you are ONLY rooted, DO NOT follow the instructions on the link below....
Provide more info, THEN we can help!

Hey chief.... Please don't take this the wrong way, but I'd advise against anyone following those instructions. No offence intended to the OP.

Hi,
I've just rooted my htc one mini 4.2.2 before updating to 4.3 -_- (so i can't remove blinkfeed cause i get an error when i try to update)
I'm wondering how i can do that ? Do i have to unroot or can i bypass this error ?
After some searches :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2598367
with dl links for the OTA file for 4.3
I could flash it with superCID "on"?
Or try the link before and update while in the system ?
Thanks
I'v followed the tuto before to get s-off and supercid (as i was s-ON). I had some difficulties but gaining root access by taping su in adb shell make it worked. I now have supercid and s-off but still can't install the OTA...
If i have well understand i should flash a stock rom before ? The fact is i didn't flash any rom i've just unlock the bootloader and root the device.
My build number is actually 1.32.401.2 and the thread i've followed to get supecid and s-off doesn't give this build number rom.
The dl links i've shown before points to an OTA file containing "1.32.401.2" in it's name so it may be compatible ? How can i trust those files as it's an 632Mb file (631.7) but the OTA is 630.55Mb . . .
OR,
I could directly flash the international 4.4 rom you gave in this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2665746 as my goal is having the most update system and sense (to remove blinkfeed) and be rooted to uninstall those f***ing gapps i don't want ?
It was much more easier with SGS3...
Hey guys I was just wondering will I be able to root my XT1033 after getting 4.4.4 OTA update? My phone is still unrooted and i'm planning to root after the OTA. Please tell me is it possible? if not then is there any other way?

Yes..u can root the phone..!:good:
While you can unlock the bootloader from the Motorola website, you will be able to root it, so you can always root, no matter the Android version (unless Moto decides to go all Samsung on us and change the security system in the bootloader)

I want to downgrade from 5.0 to 4.4.4 I have rwilco full restore for 4.4.4 so I really want to know if this is all i need or if there is something else that I need to do? I would think that the full restore would change the BL and all the other firmware to 4.4.4. All help is greatly appreciated.
My Info:
Sprint (KLTE)
Samsung Galaxy S5
SM-G900P
Lollipop 5.0 (OA6)
Thank you.

Flashing any full tar will boot you to that version but without root. If that's all you want then yes odin and the stock tar is all you need

Here's a link to @tdunham's thread for a rooted, deodexed 4.4.4 stock ROM. His OP also includes links to the virgin stock 4.4.4, as well as bootloaders and firmware alone. If you read through his OP you can find exactly what you want to do, including going back and forth between stock or custom 4.4.4 and 5.0 Sprint S5 ROMs.
Good luck!

I read through all the links and a few threads but I am still have a question that i cant seem to find a answer to. From what i read it looks like your boot loader needs to be 4.4.4? but if i upgraded to andriod 5 i am assuming the bootloader changed as well. If i am down grading do I need to upgrade the bootloader first or the rom then bootloader? Can anyone maybe give me some idea what needs to be done or link me to a thread that explains it?

is it correct ?
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. i think you're asking how to flash the stock firmware onto your i9500 device. If that is the case see this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265477 Whether you get your guarantee back, I can't answer.
