Dear fellows,
I got a Alcatel One Touch Evolve 5020T (T-mobile) from US as a gift.
When I put my India's SIM card into it, it says network locked.
On searching XDA (and other) forums, I learnt that the SIM slot is locked. In MTK Engineering mode, the option of SIM ME lock (unlock) is grayed out.
I tried to use SP Flash tools using the scatter file but I get an error - Secure Baseband. Need auth file. I dont know where to get this auth file from.
I tried using Alcatel One Touch Upgrade S 2.8.0 software as well. I used the model number - 5020. But the moment I connect my switched-off phone, it says - "Read terminal information failed, Unplug device, remove battery and try again..." [Screenshot attached]
Questions:
1. Is there anyway to reset the firmware...so that the SIM ME Lock menu can re-appear?
2. I have the NCK code with me (from a trustable source), is there anyway to directly push it to the phone and unlock it?
3. Are there any special tools available to directly unlock this phone?
I am not an expert at this, but have working knowledge of linux/android.
I see that there aren't any forums for your device. So it might help if you posted your request in Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting that way the relevant experts may help you.

Hi.
I have a Xiaomi Mi2S that doesn't connect to any cell networks.
I'm using CyanogenMod 11 nightlies, and after an update the phone lost its IMEI number. I had taken a backup of the NVRAM using EFS Professional, but when I looked for it the files where 0 bytes in length (probably a hard disk problem on my computer)
After trying a lot of stuff (installing stock MIUI, putting the phone in diag mode and installing a bunch of drivers), I managed to restore the IMEI number, but the phone still can't connect to the network.
I have tried a SIM from another company and it doesn't work. And my SIM works correctly in other phones, so I think that is not a SIM problem.
I don't know what to do... I tried flashing different ROMS, tried flashing a new baseband radio, but I can't get it to work! Is the phone lost???
Can anyone help me? I would appreciate it very much!!!!
Hi, I can't find anything relevant on XDA for your device and issue.
You can try asking for help from this thread dedicated to your device ,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2274565&page=2
Or if that doesn't help , then from here,

Hi, i have (or i had :crying a lenovo k920 (chinese version) i have installed via qfil a modded row rom. After that it won't read sim cards anymore (it show only two red cross). by typing on the dialer *#06# i sow that both IMEI was lost (both value was 0) so i replaced the right ones with a little software found on the net. It still won't read sim cards and i noticed that in "version information" it show Baseband version: unknown.
I have done anything: reinstall modded rom, back to stock rom, try another rom...but nothing changed. Please someone can help me?

Hi,
Thank you for using XDA assist
It looks like there is no dedicated forum for your device. However there is a general forum for android here http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help where you can try to ask to get the expert's help
Good luck.
Hello everyone.
Sorry if my questions are silly, I'm quite new here... and I need some explanations.
I bought a phone ( reconditioned, on PriceMinister) that I'm having some trouble with.
The main issue is that IMEI (MEID) written on the back of the phone does not match the one shown when i dial *#06#. Still, the S/N is the same.
Also the model written on the back ( SM-G920F ) does not match the one when I enter Odin mode, ( SM-G920P)
1) Is it safe to name my IMEI N° here or elsewere on the net ?
2) Is it possible that I changed this IMEI myself, being unaware of what I was doing while flashing TWRP, or some ROM that I randomly tried ??
3) What tools can I use in order to know what is really the model of my phone ( TWRP SM-G920F alias zerolfte does not work, but zerofltespr does. Still the Pi3 ROM works when I state the model being SM-920F !)
Thank you for your suggestions.

Greetings and welcome to xda. You shouldn't share your IMEI number anywhere on the internet and you are right to be suspicious, youe IMEI number shouldn't be changed. This app here
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.phoneinfo&hl=en_GB
will give you all the original info on your phone
Good Luck

My IMEI had lost due to my negligence. I tried SN Flash Tool, it did not work; it always gets stuck at kernel stage. When i checked device manager, the Preloader port appears for a second and it disappears again. I tried After Sales tool, It also gives an error: I don't know how to fix this dumb issue, my phone is not even going in Meta Mode, If I try to Flash again, through SP Flash Tool, It says PMT Change, Use Format All + Download, Which Obviously I am not going to do. Please help, as it is my only phone. + There is no Repair Center in my Local Area in a 80 km radius. Phone doesn't even go in Meta Mode, No Baseband, No IMEI, In Aftersales tool, Ap disconnect error (img attached), So there is hypothetically for my idiotic brain, no more ideas on what to try and how to fix my only phone. Please help me guys! Now, If any Infinix Note 7 friend is seeing this thread, Please Inbox me, and bless me with your Nvram partition backup, and efs backup (if you wanna help, please inbox me, we will talk there in detail), as there is no way i could get to a support shop. Please help! Here is a cookie . Please help.
