[Completed] Alcatel One Touch 5020T - SIM ME lock - XDA Assist

Dear fellows,
I got a Alcatel One Touch Evolve 5020T (T-mobile) from US as a gift.
When I put my India's SIM card into it, it says network locked.
On searching XDA (and other) forums, I learnt that the SIM slot is locked. In MTK Engineering mode, the option of SIM ME lock (unlock) is grayed out.
I tried to use SP Flash tools using the scatter file but I get an error - Secure Baseband. Need auth file. I dont know where to get this auth file from.
I tried using Alcatel One Touch Upgrade S 2.8.0 software as well. I used the model number - 5020. But the moment I connect my switched-off phone, it says - "Read terminal information failed, Unplug device, remove battery and try again..." [Screenshot attached]
Questions:
1. Is there anyway to reset the firmware...so that the SIM ME Lock menu can re-appear?
2. I have the NCK code with me (from a trustable source), is there anyway to directly push it to the phone and unlock it?
3. Are there any special tools available to directly unlock this phone?
I am not an expert at this, but have working knowledge of linux/android.

I see that there aren't any forums for your device. So it might help if you posted your request in Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting that way the relevant experts may help you.

[Completed] need help please

my name is jabbar i am from pakistan i need help today i have bought cell phone gfive g6 its really nice phone only the problem is that network mode is disable in it i am sure its wcdma phone but i think locked by operator is there any trick to enable network mode so i can use 3g in it
i will be really glade to get answer from developer
If your phone - SIM card - is blocked by your operator, we can do nothing for you.
I am awfully sorry
You must contact your carrier.
[Edit - thanks to @It_ler -]
But if you're NOT SIM-LOCKED by your operator, you can get rid of the carrier restrictions by flashing an unlocked/unbranded firmware.
So you need an unlocked bootloader, an unbranded firmware for your device and the ability to flash this firmware to your device.
And we have no threads about your device, actually, to XDA.
The best you can do is to post your request here => General discussion > Questions and Answers and maybe someone who's got same device can help you.

[Completed] Lenovo A830 (MTK6589): correct IMEI and still "No service"

After trying to restore to a new custom ROM (VIBEROM 1417) the device cant seem to connect to the network (not internet, but mobile network). I could re-enter the IMEI code with MTK tools but the message changed from "worng imei" to "no service" and i still cant make/receive phone calls (thereĀ“s an "x" on the SIM card symbol). Tried restoring the stock ROM but the problem remains the same. Tried changing the SIM card and makes no difference.
Any idea please? I want to rule out all the posibilities before thinking it might be a hardware issue.
Hi,
You would likely need to try flashing your stock firmware again to possibly fix the issue. You may need to contact the manufacturer about firmware and flashing instructions, as I can find nothing relevant on XDA.

[Completed] Installed wrong firmware, problems with unlocking, and *2767*3855# not working

I recently purchased a samsung galaxy s6, locked to Bell Mobility (my sim is rogers). I bought my unlock code through onemanwireless, but I made a very stupid mistake and followed the instructions for t-mobile phones and installed the factory firmware found here, http://onemanwireless.com/TMobile_Galaxy_S6_Edge_unlock.htm. After I realized my mistake I reinstalled the factory firmware for Bell, which I found on this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/general/sm-g925f-s6-firmware-thread-t3078841.
However, the unlock code was still unsuccessful, so I followed the other three solutions found on onemanwireless, http://onemanwireless.com/instructions.php#samsung.
When I dialed *#197328640#, I was in the debugging screen, but I didn't have the eight option for phone control.
When I dialed *2767*3855# and *7465625*638*#, nothing happened.
I've checked the IMEI and it's the correct one for my s6. I've already gotten the network code incorrect eight times, so I want to know if I'm limited to a specific number of tries before my phone cannot be unlocked again?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Hello, and welcome to XDA Assist! I would recommend that you ask your question in the dedicated help forum for your device, where people who know the s6 well will be able to help you: Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting. You will need to register to post there.
Good luck!

[Completed] What does diag mode look like?

So I've verified root on my S5 G900P sprint. I've copied my \efs files to a new location and also to my pc. My objective is to repair my IMEI, which I broke.
I've been researching all of the posts and google returns. When I attempt to go into diag mode, I'm following some guidance online that suggests entering ##3424#. This returns a screen with boxes all over it, such as green, red, etc.
Is this diag mode?
Other attempts have brought me to a screen that presents me with two radio buttons and a bar which reads qualcom. The radio buttons read either cdma, or pda.
Is this diag mode?
Lastly, do I have to purchase cdma workshop at a cost of over 100 $ to use only one time in the repair of my IMEI?
Thank you, appreciate any help that anyone can give me. Thank you.

[Completed] Boot-loop on Galaxy S5 - can i install firmware from SD?

I've dug through threads for hours already, can't seem to find this specific issue, apologies if it's out there somewhere.
The story:
Vacationing in Canada, phone is on sprint's network in the USA.
Enabled international account settings with sprint before leaving the USA.
Turned on international call and data upon arrival in canada.
Worked fine for a few hours.
Then started rebooting.
I did see an error for firmware unable to download.
Now it is in a boot loop.
I believe it attempted to update another networks version of the firmware and failed, corrupted, and has now left me in this position.
Sprint will not support this, as their towers can not connect to the device (no sprint in canada)
Samsung support will not help in canada because it's a USA bought phone.
I know all i really need to do is flash it with the latest firmware, that's what a tech would do right now.
Attempts to use Kies has failed, the macbook i have available reboots when it's run.
Attempts to use Odin have failed - an auth failure.
I would like to flash it from the SD card - is this possible? (download firmware, transfer to SD, mount the SD,
then using the boot menu, and "install update from SD" - seems like the solution ya?
and if so.. anyone have a good link for SM-g900p marshmallow that isn't a paid user account required mirror? I just paid 5.99 for a mirror that is SLOW AS SNOT, 49kb/s, and pulling down a 1.5gb file.. literally days to download this firmware. There has to be a better host out there.
PLEASE HELP I"M DESPERATE AND WITHOUT A LIFELINE IN ANOTHER COUNTRY. Thank youuu.
