After trying to restore to a new custom ROM (VIBEROM 1417) the device cant seem to connect to the network (not internet, but mobile network). I could re-enter the IMEI code with MTK tools but the message changed from "worng imei" to "no service" and i still cant make/receive phone calls (there´s an "x" on the SIM card symbol). Tried restoring the stock ROM but the problem remains the same. Tried changing the SIM card and makes no difference.
Any idea please? I want to rule out all the posibilities before thinking it might be a hardware issue.

You would likely need to try flashing your stock firmware again to possibly fix the issue. You may need to contact the manufacturer about firmware and flashing instructions, as I can find nothing relevant on XDA.

I got a Alcatel One Touch Evolve 5020T (T-mobile) from US as a gift.
When I put my India's SIM card into it, it says network locked.
On searching XDA (and other) forums, I learnt that the SIM slot is locked. In MTK Engineering mode, the option of SIM ME lock (unlock) is grayed out.
I tried to use SP Flash tools using the scatter file but I get an error - Secure Baseband. Need auth file. I dont know where to get this auth file from.
I tried using Alcatel One Touch Upgrade S 2.8.0 software as well. I used the model number - 5020. But the moment I connect my switched-off phone, it says - "Read terminal information failed, Unplug device, remove battery and try again..." [Screenshot attached]
Questions:
1. Is there anyway to reset the firmware...so that the SIM ME Lock menu can re-appear?
2. I have the NCK code with me (from a trustable source), is there anyway to directly push it to the phone and unlock it?
3. Are there any special tools available to directly unlock this phone?
I am not an expert at this, but have working knowledge of linux/android.

All of a sunnden, I.got this error on my samsung s advance "No SIM".
Since then it has not been reading any SIM card (Except BSNL SIM card)
What I have done to fix this :
1) replaced the SIM drive, but no luck.
2) flashed stock rom, with re-partition, again no luck.
3) backed up mmcblk0p2(modemfs), mmcblk0p7(efs) and mmcblk0p6(cspsa)
and reflashed, but again no luck.
Any help??

After i tried to get cwm running on my kingzone k1 turbo i got no signal any more
After searching i noticed by the IMEI invalid for the 2 simslots
some more digging around and notice Baseband version unknown
so i think i dont got radio any more. i did get twrp custom recovery on the phone in the meantime
did some lots of custom romming, stock romming total hard resets and paid rom versions but i keep getting the baseband version unknown
it wont detect my 2 sim cards (1 normal 1 micro) tried even with other operator sims
every custom radio img i flash it said successful and reboot the phone. none worked i still cant get signal. wifi works fine tho
I'm begin to think its somthing hardware but is that even possible when all the rest of the phone works fine
well i'm out of options someone any other ideas?
ah and tried to put the IMEI back in witch mobileuncle and that didn't help is't there that i read failed and radio problem

I recently tried to install a custom rom on my Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i. Afterwards, it became stuck in a boot loop.
I managed to find what I believed was the stock firmware for my phone and used Odin to flash it back on. Everything seemed to go just fine and I even managed to install the custom rom afterwards without issue.
My problem is, however, that although the phone mostly works as intended, the phone element does not. I have a message saying 'Emergency Calls Only' and I'm unable to make any calls. This is the case straight after flashing with Odin, and also after installing a custom rom.
The IMEI number on the device matches the IMEI number found in the software.
Where can I go from here?
The phone was originally purchased in the United Kingdom from O2, if that helps, though the software says that no network lock is active.

I tried to install a custom ROM in the device but soon after it's boot I realized the network is not working, I tried to recover my stock ROM by CWM and all the old things came back. But the network is still not working, when I tried to search manually for Network Operators, then some other operators come in search but my network operator is not listed in them. I tired to search too much but useless. Please can anyone help me with it..
My IMEI is present and the phone shows it.
