Hi guys,
My phone is B14, to be exact it's MT7-C900B514.
I updated my phone via pressing the volume up + volume down + power button but it always fails at 5%.
Also tried using the dialer update, but it's stuck at 5%.
Am I doing something wrong here?

i think
you need to flash b500 first than only b522
Have you a stock Marshmallow recovery installed? If partitioning is not correct by using wrong recovery it will fail quickly.

You need to downgrade to lollipop using C900B500 (link : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzKA9jiieekaTGhyVW9lcW9sb3c/view),
[using 3-button forced update], then install lollipop C900B326 (link: https://mega.nz/#!FxgH1arZ!FzYhPvOlaVStFaTNmz8r7MxY6f-N7gvyym41C-JsZtw)
and from there, upgrade to C900B522. I personally would suggest you upgrade to the latest firmware though for TL-10,
the C900B560 (Android security patch level: 1 May 2016) instead of the older C900B522 (earlier Android security patch level).
All links above previously mentioned/provided by chudy_85 in this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-7/general/huawei-mt7-l09-l10-stock-firmware-ota-t3275784
JUST REMEMBER THOUGH that downgrading from any marshmallow firmware to any lollipop firmware will erase all data.
Phone will be like purchased brand new (internal memory almost empty). Backup files/data first before downgrading to lollipop.

Ok, you already have TWRP installed on your phone. So you aren't exactly a newbie. What version of OS did you have installed before you broke the phone?
it is marshmallow, it is more bad, my phone not only stuck in logo now it still turn on and turn off itself and just show the logo and turn off.
sorry for my English.

Looks like you accidentally wiped the system partition. Did you already try keeping the 3 keys, vol up, vol down and power key pressed for 9 to 10 seconds to get into recovery mode?
i got myself in the same position to when trying to root.
if you are using this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-7/development/tool-srk-tool-huawei-beta-02-20160501-t3369990
you can use that to restore back your stock bootloader. then rollback then only install back prefered rom.
in my case in got bootloop at b522. use the above batch file i restore stock bootloader. then rollback to b500 ( here it will still bootloop) then i flash back ( using dload in sdcard). it took 20 minutes for the phone to boot to system. lucky.
you have to use sdcard and computer to copy presered rom dload file.
root now works with the latest kingroot but beware the consequences created by kingroot

ONLY root by flash from TWRP.
Flashing from an app in the OS is not how to do it.

Bro, I think we have encountered a similar problem, although our current situation is now a bit different. Your's seem to be your system partition has been damaged, hence, the "no OS" message. For me, it's a stuck-at-the-logo situation. You can check it here in case you're interested... http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-7/help/hard-bricked-mt-tl10-t3400467
Reading further, I see you're also stuck at the logo. Are you able to boot to recovery or BL?
Howdy folks! In need of some urgent help... I'm also not terribly familiar with android as I came from years of using iphones.... Yesterday I did the OTA update to EMUI 5. Everything was fine except bluetooth would fail to turn on...so I tried doing a factory reset in the settings. The reset failed less than 10% in and when the phone rebooted, it seems like only half the OS reset and is totally screwed up (no access to the soft keyboard anymore, etc.).
Reading on how to either rollback to EMUI 4/Marshmallow, I tried using the Huawei Update Extractor after downloading L04 6.0 firmware from the Huawei site ( Honor 8_Firmware_FRD-L04_Android 6.0_EMUI 4.1_C567B122_United States_Nonspecific ).
After issuing the adb command to flash the first file, boot.img, I get a "FAILED (remote: Command not allowed).
I'm a total loss at this point. I'd be extremely grateful if anyone can point me in the right direction in terms of what to do next!
I was in the same position as you. Here is what I did:
Download both the rollback package and the full marshmallow firmware (I used a german one since that is my region, i linked one for the UK version, google your specific model to find them) from the hihonor community website: https://community.hihonor.com/docs/DOC-1752 and read the PDFs that are included in both zips, they contain the instructions to roll back to Marshmallow.
You will need an external SD card and you will lose your data.
In case the steps are not clear enough:
1. Copy the dload folder of the rollback package to the root of the SD.
2. Force update the phone (hold volume up and down at the same time when powering up).
3. Shut down the phone after the force update is done.
4. Delete dload folder of the rollback package and replace it with the dload folder of the full marshmallow firmware.
5. Force update the phone again.

First of all, confirm that your model is the L04 model.
The rollback procedure to MM is the following:
- Download the B300 from here http://www.hihonor.com/us/support/details?DOC_ID=92098
- Put the 'Update.APP' (~80MB) file in a folder called 'dload' in your external storage
- Turn off your phone then maintain all the buttons (Volume+, Volume-, Power) to turn it on.
After the update finishes, check your build number, you should be on B300.
- Now, delete the 'Update.APP' that's in your 'dload' folder
- copy the 'Update.APP' (~3 GB or so) of the B122 http://www.hihonor.com/us/support/details?DOC_ID=89264
- Turn off your phone then maintain all the buttons (Volume+, Volume-, Power) to turn it on.
Let your phone optimize, reformat its partitions.
You should now have MM on B122, you can then update to B162 through OTA.

Thanks for your replies. I sincerely appreciate it. I tried doing the above and when updating the rollback, it would only read to 5% and when phone rebooted it was in the same state it was before attempting the rollback. Could it be something to do with the SD card? Any other ideas? Thanks again.

Alright now let's try another method to save it.
- Turn off the phone
- Keep holding the volume+ button then plug it to a computer.
- Keep holding the volume+ until you see the honor logo.
- You should now see the eRecovery.
- Choose download latest software and recovery.

Assuming you have successfully flashed the rollback update (B300), I successfully rolled back to B162 by making a "dload" folder on my external SD card, and placing the Update.APP file in there, and then accessing recovery using the pwr+vol (+/-) buttons.. For some reason placing the Update.APP file in the internal storage did not work with the stock recovery, even though the instructions for the rollback ask you to do so. Hopefully this helps.

I'm in the same situation you were in, command not allowed, rollback not working, dload folder with update.app in sd card not working.
How and what did you do after that ?
Thanks in advance
Place the dload folder/files on the root of the internal memory.
Go look on ModaCo.
There is a guy called Paul O'Brien who I think has some thing to do with Honor in some way.
He will help you sort your phone

I somehow managed to actually rollback my phone ! I'm starting to feel a lot better.
Bootloader's locked again, though (no more "this device has been unlocked and cannot be trusted")
Only small problem now is I have the "this device was reset" message problem still around.
Read online here on xda that I need to wait 72 hours before logging on again with my new password (I did change it, that must be why)
I'll just wait these 72 hours and see if it works.
Else if you did have this issue too i'd love to hear about it.
Hello guys
I wanted to downgrade android from 7 to 6 by using odin. I had downloaded original 6.0.1 firmware from samsung site, which was making some errors in odin.
Later I cannot turn on phone, only option was displayed on screen was about fixing phone by smart switch. I had downloaded that app, done completly restoration and now I cant turn on my phone. Only thing I can do is going into download mode, there is no recovery, also combination of vol. down + power is not helping for me.
Has anybody any advices? It should be kernel problem? Some boot files were deleted?

I would suggest "Firmware Finder" by TeamMT.
Google it, there is a PC Version and a mobile one for Android. Make sure to EXACTLY enter your device type ( in my case EML-L29C432) If you dont know your model take a look at the phone box.
You need to download three files. If you still have TWRP you can use HuRupdater. Place the three files in a folder together with the hurupdater.zip, then flash the hurupdater zip. I may seem stuck but it just takes a few minutes so be patient and do NOT REBOOT MANUALLY DURING INSTALLATION (=Brick)

Yes, you can use eRecovery.
No Root or Flashing Stuff needed.
1. Power Off your Phone
2. Press the Powerbutton shortly and wait till you see the Huawei Logo.
3. As soon as you can see the huawei logo press and hold the volume up button. This will take you to erecovery.
You will see a Screen with different options
4. Touch the "Download latest Version and Recovery" Button at the bottom of the screen. Your Phone will activate Wifi.
5. Choose your Wifi Network and enter your Wifi Key.
6. When the phone is successfully connected it will search for the latest official firmware. Follow the instructions

Thanks sackgnom. I will try this but I am worried that if Huawei makes emui 9 as the official firmware from this point on then doing the above steps will not allow me to reset to 8.1. I will keep it posted.
Hi,
The phone came back from service. Since then I can't take root.
When attempting a flash recovery it writes: Only official biranary are allowed to be flashed.
I've found many tutorials on how to fix this, but none works for me. Any advice please?
Hi,
I remember back a long time ago... It's red and appears on bootscreen on top? That was caused by something was changed through an OTA update and the try to root leads to that.
The thing that I've done was flashing a stock Oreo Firmware an then flashing twrp and root. I'm on custom ROM now and avoiding things like that.
Greetings.
Same thing happened to me when I flashed latest firmware for s8(pie may build).
So flash any oreo firmware and flash twrp. Or flash the first official pie firmware and flash twrp. then custom rom or root or whatever you want.
Note 9 only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed. FIX?

Hi,
I tried to root my Note 9 (Exynos version, pie 9) using Max Lee's (HighOnAndoid) guide. The process seemed okay until I reached Dr Ketan script's last stage, when it got kind of stuck. It was loading for hours. Then I pressed Next, then Finished on DR. Ketan's script. Went into TWRP after this. Rebooted system. Then the phone loaded up normally, but wasn't rooted.
First 'root' trial of Note 9 was unsuccesful. Thought I could try again.
Problem was I couldn't get into 'Download Mode' anymore on my Note 9 !!
I could access 'Download Mode' obviously a few hours before this (when tried to root Note 9 the first time).Tried many variations of (Vol down + Bixby then insert USB) to succusflully access 'Download Mode', but no luck unfortunately.
So, I then accessed TWRP, selected WIPE option to Factory Settings.
Phone rebooded normally. Everything seemed normal (without the root). My goal is still to root my Note 9.
I restarted the phone, but after this last restart the note 9 never rebooted again.
I can only see in the upper left corner with REDletters "only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed".
How to FIX this problem?
Button techniques that did NOT work:
- Vol UP + power button.
- Vol up then power button for 10 seconds.
- Connected USB computer with Note 9. Pressed Vol UP then power buttong for 10 seconds.
How to FIX 'only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed' in the right upper corner in Red colour problem?
