This temporary root can only allow you backup or restore your original TA partition with its DRM keys, not a full system root.

You wouldn't be able to replace the backup app without root. at least as far as i know.

This thread can be deleted because there is a way to root without downgrading and without unlocking!

Restore your TA backup if you have one
Or
Use flashtool.
Make sure you either flash a stock rom first or know how to recovery from a soft brick before you do it though
Thanks.
I have no Backup.
So i just have to flash old ftf with flashtool?

No, you use the relock bootloader function.
Flashing a FTF will make no difference tot he bootloader status at all
Hey guys I'm just wondering if there's a way to enable ntfs support on XtreStoLite 3.2 MM Rom. I used to have it working while running Lollipop version of this great Rom. Guess it's something related to MM. Thanks anyway!

In order to transfer files to my 1TB external hard drive. It used to work on Lollipop.

I use the Paragon NTFS app. It lets me mount my NTFS OTG Hard drive and then access it from other file explorers. Requires root.

I tried with no success. I tap mount but nothing seems to happen. What Rom are you running?
Actually I have systemless root (selinux in enforcing mode) so paragon pops up a warning about selinux not being in permissive mode which could cause app to not work properly.
Sent from my SM-G920F using XDA-Developers mobile app
There is an app called selinuxmodechanger which can be used to change from enforcing to permissive. It's on xda but googling it will take you to the right place too.

I've used it previously and haven't had any issues, and even if you do come across anything weird you can switch between default enforcing and permissive on the fly.

I'm running on stock ROM without root. I use ES File Explorer to access USB devices running NTFS via OTG.

Oh, so I guess it must be something related to XtreStoLite 3.2. I'm not sure what's the culprit. Damit.

Sounds like a rom related issue to me, the rom I'm on is already permissive by default (tyrannus rom)

If he had wiped the data anyway ,he won't be able to flash anything through fastboot . but AFAIK , he can still restore back his device to original state by flashing the device specific update.app .

Unfortunately I don't know the special command. DC Phoenix has this feature and costs 15 bucks and they compressed code. It even unlocks the locked partitions for flash.
It's a huawei backdoor they use to flash the command it can probably be found in a huawei partition if digging deep into correct file.
