[bug] Resume last played media button is missing

Resume last played media button is missing if last played video is from /storage/sdcard1/... folder. Completed videos aren't marked too. (Didn't checked another folders)
It is on its place even if last played media file is same but has another path because of different device mount point (/mnt/ext_sdcard/...)
(Just playing with filtering scanning folders)
OS is Android 4.2.2, PacMan Rom
Device is Huawei U9508

I think MX Player is path specific. I'd recommend changing your defined video folders in your MX settings, so that it only checks 1 mount path of your SD card.

I know that it's solution to change video folders
But why it does work for some folders and for some folders it doesn't?

For example, it does appear for "/mnt/sdcard1/Anime/GTO/GTO - 01.avi", but doesn't for "/storage/ext_sdcard/Anime/GTO/GTO - 01.avi".
...while it's more likely to user select the /storage/... folder in settings, because when you open folder selection dialog, opened path is /storage/emulated/0/

I do know how to fix it, but some others don't.
It think, it's a bug, when you shouldn't select some folders to get this button appear.

Yes, I can reproduce the problem.
In my case my external sd card is mounted in /storage/extSdCard. One more location is exists on /mnt/extSdCard which is actually a link not a mount point. But, real path of the file will be /storage/extSdCard/*
When MX Player scans, it saves the real path to avoid file duplicate file listing.
when you set to scan only /mnt/extSdCard on video folders it will list file. But the file state is saved with the real path. Since it's outside of folder to be scanned it will be ignored & resume button will be hidden. As you add /storage/extSdCard to the list resume button will back.
It's because of lack of standardisation in mount point & unnecessary link of mount points across OEMs.
So, you have to be careful when selecting folders.
There are some workarounds that can fix the issue. I will discuss it with the developer. If you have any suggestions, it's highly appreciable.
I have attached the logs collected with mx log collector.

About suggestions...
For example, QuickPic doesn't show these links in Explorer mode (there is only "emulated" folder in /storage/), but it may produce some troubles for users, I think.

Can you explain in detail?
Whether it does not showing anything or only of the some files are missing?
Go to settings 》List 》Video Folders. Press menu button & reset default settings. It will reset your video library.
If you are still not getting your video files,
From Settings 》List, Disable "Recognise .nomedia" & enable "Show hidden files and folders".

I tried all of that still nothing is working !!! I have no files at all in mx player.In storage i chose primary external storage as SD CARD does it have anything to do with it!!

Can you share the screenshot of Settings >> List >> Video folders ?
It would better if you post a logs after a manual refresh for tgst Just press the refresh buttion on top. Wait for till loading circle turns to normal
Goto menu >> help >> Report bug. Enable Save the logs to disk & press ok. It will show where the file is saved. Go to the sdcard/internal memory with file manager now you will see a like like
report_YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS.zip
Attach the file over here. So that we can look at your issue.
Note:
If you have disabled media storage system application enable it. In that case MX will not get any video list from media storage. So, it will show blank list.
Most of the multimedia apps relies on media storage provider to get the file list quickly without complete scan.
Alternatively you can get video list by manually refreshing from the top button.

Problems in downloading mp3?

Hello, I want to download some mp3 to my Note PRO. On my laptop, I visited: http://www.stafaband.info/download/mp3/lagu_ost_swallow_the_sun_drama_korea/
There is a list of about10 songs with links to download
However, when I typed the same URL on my Note PRO, the URL was automatically changed to:
http://m.stafaband.info/download/mp3/lagu_ost_swallow_the_sun_drama_korea/
- Anybody knows the reason?
- Instead of having a list of about 10 mp3, only four are listed. Do you know what is going on?
- I clicked the first one: "Swallow The Sun Drama Ost mp3". Then, clicked "Download Link" on the linked page. Rather than downloading the file, a multi-window showed up to play the song. I can save the file. Could you please tell me how? Can I also specify the save location?

No, you can't set a download location. It automatically downloads into the Downloads folder.

Top right, the three vertical dots next to the URL bar. If the browser hides it, long-press the left softkey (recent apps).
Yep, after it's finished downloading (check the notification) you can use any file explorer to move it to the desired folder.

[AIO] Fixes for Issues in Custom ROMs

I decided to combine posts for fixes in the LineageOS 17.1 and other ROMs threads and keep it unified in a single thread. This thread will be updated in future for more fixes to newer problems
Issue 1: Work around for video codec issues in Google Chrome and other Chromium based browsers
1. Go to chrome://flags
2. In search box type Hardware and some results will pop up.
3. Of those disable Hardware-accelerated video decode and Hardware-accelerated video encode. You can check here.
4. Restart and play videos happily.
Isuse 2: Jio4G Voice for Jio users
1. Install app from Play Store.
2. Go to Settings > Apps and Notifications > Default apps > Set Jio 4G voice app as the default one in Phone app and SMS app.
3. Either restart your phone or Clear Data and Force Stop it to get new configuration messages.
4. GIve all the required permissions, try sending and making calls.
5. It will work. (Note: if you connect to WiFi, Jio4G Voice app wont work)
Note: If you are still unable to use Jio4G Voice app then. Open File Manager and enable this option "show hidden files", delete .JioCall (this is hidden file i.e., it contains dot at the beginning) and JioCallFiles. Now clear data of the app and start using it.
Issue 3: Data not getting backed up to Google Drive
1. Read these 2 posts to fix this issue. For me after removing the lock screen, Google Backup has worked. You can find more info on these two posts. Post 1 and this post . (Note: In second post you have use ADB commands).
Issue 4: Unable to delete pics in DCIM folder
1. Open stock File Manager.
2. Go to DCIM folder and select all the pics you want to delete.
3. Move the selected ones to any file (except DCIM, like Downloads, Pictures, Movies etc.).
4. Now select the moved ones and delete them.

MX Player does not find files on sd card

I have installed the free MX Player 1.26.7 on my HUAWEI P30 lite running on EMUI 10.0.
The player only finds files in the internal memory.
Alhough I can choose the SD card folders in "Folders" the files on the SD card are not shown.
"Recognize .nomedia" is unckecked.
"Show hidden files and folders" is checked.
VLC Player and HUAWEI stock player work normally and play files from the SD card..
Any clue what is wrong here?

I would like to attach the report file here, but unfortunately I do not find a way to do so. I couldn't figure out how to attach a simple file to a posting.
Don't want to paste the plain text in here, it's quite a lot of stuff as you know. What do I have to do to attach the file here?

Yes mx player is not finding folder copied on sd card.If i manually fresh it finds it.
