Erisin 4046 mtcd? - MTCD Android Head Units Q&A

I have a erisin 4046 is this a mtcd? http://www.ebay.de/itm/231920792513

If it has android 5.1 then most likely. Also if you look at the page you linked, scroll down 2/3 of the page, and see the picture w/ the barcode, and you'll see it was MTCD in to details - which doesn't always mean much, since pictures aren't always accurate... but I'd guess that it is a MTCD.

Thank you

Infra Red & Virgin Media TiVo

Hi Guys!
Just thought I'd point out, the ir works with the Samsung TiVo by Virgin Media!
I read a review that said it doesn't and neither does the HTC One.
Very pleased I can control TV and TiVo now

Watchon really is a great app , it only took me a few minutes to set up two tv's and two sky boxes and it all works very well .

I couldn't get mine to work.. Ill have to have another look tonight

If you're talking about TiVo, select Virgin Media in the brand.
It works a treat plus its awesome that you can put the remote widget in the lock screen so you don't even need to unlock the phone to change channels

Is the Samsung tivo box a newer box then? Because I have a Virgin media tivo box and it's a Cisco one.

Tbh I'm not sure...
I got mine installed about 2 weeks ago and it was Samsung, that's why I was surprised when the review I read said it didn't work. Bet they chose TiVo rather than Virgin Media.

Does the App have learning capabilities or just the device list from Sammy?
As I know NO learning capabilities...now trying to find out if its only SW problem (stupid sammys apk) or HW is only IR transmitter not receiver...somebody?
I wonder if the camera could be used to capture the IR codes. If it's refresh rate is high enough. Otherwise some low-volume devices would need them hardcoded somehow.
virgin media tivo (cisco) samsung watch on
Hi. Has anybody had any success controlling the cisco virgin media tivo box with watch on and the galaxy s4. Lg tv is sorted but struggling to get my set top cable box to work. Regards. Jim

I too have been unable to get my Virgin Media Cisco CT8620 Tivo box to work with WatchOn. I've tried the "Virgin Media", "Cisco" and "Tivo" options that it offers, trying the next code in each when prompted, but with no luck.
I filled out the contact box with details of the model information at the end when prompted, but I've no idea how long I'll have to wait for them to add support for this box.
Anyone have any suggestions?
I have this working on Cisco VM TiVo.
I selected cisco as the box manufacturer on setting it up. Make sure you have the latest watch on installed from play store.

Moto X Touchless Control App

I've seen this asked in other threads but not so far related to the Nexus 5. I'm thinking getting this app working on a non-moto device such as the Nexus 5 should be more possible than ever because of the dedicated core in the Snapdragon 800. Am I wrong?
EDIT: Actually it's right here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2516064&highlight=touchless+control
You're on the right track, OP. The hardware is there, the software is not. I don't think it would be "too" difficult to port it from a moto device.

The snapdragon 800 is not always listening like the x8 chip. Is is listening while the unit is on. It is possible but it would be plenty of work and will go through battery quite heavily.

Incorrect - it has a low-power Core similar to the x8 called 'Snapdragon Voice Activation' - we will need to have our Kernel/ROM gurus get on it once their devices arrive.

Rotating Bezel Question

New to the Gear S2 after coming from the original Gear S. Everything about the S2 seems pretty straight forward except for the rotating bezel wherein I'm actually confused at it's purpose.
I understand that I can use the bezel to browse through screens, apps, etc.. but what I'm confused at is how to run/launch the app that I selected via the bezel?
According to the manual, the 2 buttons on the side of the watch act as the back/home button only.
It seems that I'm missing something here.
TIA.

Currently, the bezel is just used to navigate and not for selecting any apps. The newest firmware update is supposed to enable a function whereby when you stop at an app with the bezel, the app will launch automatically after a short pause.
I don't know when that update will be coming to the US.

After rotating the bezel to your desired app, touch the center of the screen and the app will run.
Yes the latest firmware actually launches the app when you stop rotating the bezel. I don't have that option activated since I find that an app is opended too quickly once stopped on it, which can lead to opening the wrong app.

Thanks for the info. I checked my Tmobile Gear S2(software version OJ7) and unfortunately did not have that setting. Hopefully we get that in a software update soon.

I said maybe someone could make one based of that I never told any one to try it if it works on. Flex or nexus or Samsung surely its would work on this phone I'm not good at messing with phones I made this thread so someone could make a surround MOD for our phones it's kind of the same concept just with different inputs and output values obviously I'm not that smart but someone could maybe make one

I've already tried play on this .. Tried to add line or improve volume but no way.. It seems that the speakers got their own task.. One for sound, one for calling etc... And our mixer_path is a bit much detailed than nexus or samsung.

Are any MCU's compatible with HT

My MCU is a MCTE_HT_V3.53_1 Are there any other mcu's (HA, KDL etc.) That are compatible with it?
My reply doesn't bring much to the table so I apologize for that but I have the exact same MCU and I've been searching for a few months now and have not found any conclusive proof then you can switch. Although it does sound like a lot of the MCUs are Universal. Not only have I not found any info on compatible with HT but there is also very little talk Of the newer firmware like me and you have everything I've seen is based off of much older MCUs. Just out of curiosity what reason do you have for wanting to switch your MCU

Not really wanting to switch right now. Just looking to the future. So far almost everything on my HU is working almost exactly how I want. Just keeping an open mind.

Same here off Amazon. Been a great unit. Downgraded to android 9 to use hal9k rom but gonna switch to Malaysk rom this week now that he put out an android 10 variant
Sent from my SM-N986U1 using Tapatalk
Actually I was looking at the different ROM's. I used to use Malaysk's ROM's all the time on my older units but will probably try out the HAL9k once it is android 10. I was able to root the stock ROM. Problem is, I have everything working damn near perfectly as it is. The only thing I have even the slightest issue with is my TPMS software after resuming from standby...but I've fixed it using the startup from the AGAMA launcher.
AGAMA
PowerAmp
NavRadio+
MCTDialer
Between these packages everything is slick. Sound quality is great on calls. Agama gives me the google button on the main screen which plays any song on my SD card by voice command, I can dial any number in my phone book by voice command with MCTDialer and the Navradio+ is a stellar interface for the radio tuner.
I have had several HU's over the years and this one is head and shoulder the best I have ever had.
yeah i get it mine was rooted stock 10 and really ran nice also. never got mctdialer working though. it came baked into hal9k too.

How do I extract it? I mean pull it from the HU. The seller wasn't really up to sending me it in zipped form.
I flashed a different one and am now getting an error, anyone have the original as listed above? I also have a vanku.
Thanks in advance guys
