[Q] how to copy pictures to d2g?

hi all
couldent find a way to copy pics from sd card to phone memory in order to free space on sd. any suggestions?
thx
To me able to move things to the root folder (internal storage) you will need an app that can mount the root folder as r/w (read/write) and then copy and paste the relevant files. To be able to do that though, you going to need to be rooted and have use an app such as Root Explorer to move it to the root folder.

[Completed] external sd card

I need to find out how to move files to my external sd card
Hi there,
Just use a file Explorer on the phone like ES File Explorer or Solid Explorer (and many more) and copy the files from Internal to external. Or connect to your PC and do what you want to do.
Good luck

[Q] Create shortcut to SD crad inside internal folder

Hello,
I'd like to create a shortcut or link inside the internal memory folder to point to the external SD card. (Like a shortcut in Windows Explorer.) If I have to use symbolic link I will but I'm afraid this would mess up some apps that scan the internal memory (send it into a circular loop.) I am trying to access the SD card quickly from within the internal disk, when any app shows me that folder. (Basically some apps like CameraMX are STILL failing to show the SD card, even with Root.)
Can anyone help me create the shortcut or link? My mount point for SD is: root/mnt/media_rw/6664-6330. My filesystem is NTFS.
I have: Root Explorer, Solid Explorer, MiX, Terminal.
I tried searching google and XDA but it's hard to eliminate threads talking about the homescreen or adoptable storage. Sorry if this has already been discussed.

Is it possible for my app to read folders other than its private data folder?

As an app developer, I want to enable users to browse internal storage and SD card, and then to select a picture file to show after a 'select image' button is tapped.
For example, users can select a pic from \Pictures folder, \Downloads folder, or any other folders in internal storage, as well as folders in SD card. It's some like a mobile user is browsing internal storage & SD card via a stock 'Files Explorer' app.
I have declared READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission in my app manifest file. So, my app works well for SD card folders.
My question is, is it possible for my app to read folders, such as \Pictures, \Downloads, ... and so on, which are other than its private data folder, in internal storage?
If yes, what permission should I declare in manifest? Or what should I do for this?
Thank you in advance.
