recently, my external_sd folder in my internal sd card acts like a normal folder which contains files that are not in the external_sd. I deleted it and tried to create a shortcut to external_sd with root browser. It said something like some sd card cannot be symblink.
please help
thank you

The phone only has 1.5GB of internal SD card and
expects you to add your own external SD card.
Which is fine except just about everything favours
using the small internal card instead of the large
external one. The android folder where the obb
files go, .android_secure where apps moved to sd
go, external data downloads for apps. So 1.5GB
won't last you long!
You can however swap which card Android thinks is
the internal and external. So mine now thinks it
has 32GB of internal SD space and 1.5GB external
and uses the 32GB for everything.
To do this, first of all you need root.
Then download this file: http://blade.windows98.co.uk/downloads/vold.emmc.fstab
(right click the
link and use 'save as')
Copy it to your phones SD card
Now using a root file explorer go to /system/etc and
rename the file vold.emmc.fstab as a backup in case
you ever want to revert this swap
Using your file explorer, copy or move the file from
your sd card into /system/etc
Reboot and enjoy :laugh::good:
File copy?
If this works what about system files? Do you need to copy all internal files to external first before swapping?
If so what app will allow you permissions to do so?

Hi, anyone knows how to move data from external sd games?
Whit android browser or any one open the sd card in archive an go to android/ data/ogg and select the folder, mover to sd external
applications stop working
use folder mount
You will need to be rooted for folder mount to work. Its an app if you are wondering!
I've used folder mount its a bit unreliable if you don't know how to use it right but yeah its your best bet.
Obb on SD
use xposed module obb on sd , work like charm :good: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/mod-obb-sd-v0-1-t2884004
Hi, I've installed and configurated App2sd on my SM-N910F Note 4 with stock and rooted phone.
I had to create three partitions in my 128Gb sd card: fat32, ext4 and another I don't remember for swap file.
I use the ext4 partition to link app and free up my internal sd card and then copied my backup files from my pc to my phone in external sd card.
Now if you connect the phone to pc ypu can see the files I copied but if you try with my browser file in the phone I can see only App2sd folders, Lost folder and I don't see the files I copied.
Do you know why??

Hello,
I'd like to create a shortcut or link inside the internal memory folder to point to the external SD card. (Like a shortcut in Windows Explorer.) If I have to use symbolic link I will but I'm afraid this would mess up some apps that scan the internal memory (send it into a circular loop.) I am trying to access the SD card quickly from within the internal disk, when any app shows me that folder. (Basically some apps like CameraMX are STILL failing to show the SD card, even with Root.)
Can anyone help me create the shortcut or link? My mount point for SD is: root/mnt/media_rw/6664-6330. My filesystem is NTFS.
I have: Root Explorer, Solid Explorer, MiX, Terminal.
I tried searching google and XDA but it's hard to eliminate threads talking about the homescreen or adoptable storage. Sorry if this has already been discussed.
Hey
With the new android update for this phone i can no longer browse to the sd card via the directory of device\
usually there is a link to the external sd card in device\storage but now its all empty there and i can only access the internal storage via Device\sdcard.
If i use a file browser like Es media then u can select the external sd card directly and access it. But the problem im having is when im in simple apps like ePSXe it wont let me reach the external sd card since i have to manually browse to it but there is no shortcuts to it anywhere. There was one app that allowed the full path to be manually added which worked since the folders are hidden or something.
Its like samsung have hidden the folders link to the external card.
Is there a way to create a shortcut from the internal storage that point to "device\storage\D8C7--9661" (which is my external sd card)?
