Both speaker for HTC one A9 - HTC One A9

Somewhere on differents thread (Nexus 5, Galaxy S5 ) they make a mod who give the capacity to enable the earpiece speaker to feel the sound like stereo speakers.. I mean bottom and headset speaker..
After some search on the mixer_path of the A9 and some editing i didn't get this enabled at all...
It seems that we can't have this ability to get this mod work on our device..
If someone have more chance or better knowledge on this then try and let's see if we can have this mod on our device..

Point me towards those threads for the phones that did it already. I'm also trying to figure out some audio stuff for this phone, trying to get viper to work and such and this has interested me

just installed the patch, Only the bravia engine. There seems to be something wrong with your Aroma installer, the touchscreen seems to be a little off. Had to use the home button to navigate to the next entries cause pressing the next button would send me back.
check that.
So far the bravia engine works. thanks
Not exaggerating when I say this...but damn the sound is louder and clearer. I just need some beats headphones lol

Would have to say the same. Not noticing a difference. Android did optimize 40 some "things" after flash, but not exactly seeing or hearing any difference. Using trickdroid 4.0 so not sure why, or if at all, they would be conflicting. What apps would we need to look for to know its their? I don't see any new, but android did.

Same here.
I really don't mean to sound like I'm pushing this mod down or being a douche .
Just trying to give feed back.
Also idk if everyone else's speaker is also pretty low like mine or not but I'm using volume+ hoping to increase my volume. (Which it moderately did) but the volume mod from here caused that app (volume+) to no longer work.

I'm pretty sure the XLoud is for you headphone output, not your phones speaker. Like Beats. Beats only activates when headphones are plugged in or streaming via bluetooth.

Beats, overpriced. $300 headphones, $30 in technology + $270 name = Beats!
Get some Sol Republic phones, amazing sound at less than half the price of beats.

[Q] Beats Audio

For some odd reason my Rogers HTC one X does not have beats Audio anymore. When and if I try to plug in headphones and stuff it doesn't work. Does anybody know how I can get it back? Not sure if I had deleted the thing by accident after using it in my car.
Rooted? Custom ROM or stock ROM?
Unless you are rooted, and messing around with system files, I don't see how you could have deleted Beats. Although there may be some hardware glitch, or incompatible app.
Try a factory reset, and see if that helps (backup any important personal data first).
I've had issues with sound being not as crisp for awhile now also. My beats shows up but it seems to lack the bass and crisp highs. I now use an equalizer along with beats . I believe this is a known issue. In the complilation hox thread there is a link to reinstall beats .

[Request] Beats/Acid/EQ?

Is there a way to flash an apk or zip file to get a system wide EQ on our phone like Beats? The sound output via the headphones is soooooo low. Any help much appreciated. Thanks!
Viper4Android is by far the best IMO. It's a much easier install than AC!D as well. Beats(even Awesome Beats) was always garbage to me. Especially compared to AC!D/Viper4Android.

Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
I've decided to give a try to the Beats Audio™ PRO that used before on my N7 which is now outdated on playstore...if you find it and it works for you it is night and day compared to the original output. There is no equalization but IMO there is no need to. You can still play with EQ with your music player (I use poweramp). I've tried several DSP managers (downloaded, integrated in custom roms, etc...) but nothing comes close this mode. The only inconvience - you need to be root.

Don't really need to. The stock ROM doesn't contain the lines to edit anyways.
Viper works, I highly recommend if using with a good IRS. Works great on my Nexus 5!! Best audio mod I've used.
Okay. I had installed beats on a previous phone awhile ago and wasn't at all impressed. The EQ in poweramp was good enough. However, seen this thread today and figured I'd give viper a shot being as how a couple people recommended it. Well, I am quite impressed. I've tried it on phone speaker and Bluetooth and it definitely offers an improvement, especially on Bluetooth. Hopefully, it is just as good on the headset, haven't been able to test it out yet. But yeah, definitely worth installing.

Do you have the "Enable/V4A-FX is powered on" check box checked for the output you're using? There is one to check for Bluetooth, Speaker, and Headphones. All three have been working for me on Google Music.
Yeah, I have that box checked for my headphones. I've been changing the eq settings and nothing happens. Going to uninstall and reinstall.

It *is* system-wide. It won't work on PowerAmp unless you turn off DVC in PowerAmp's settings.
V4A is a comprehensive audio-driver replacement, not just some software EQ.

Surround Mode H955

Hello,this mod turns your front earpiece speaker to a loud speaker for a surround experience.
Unzip the file,take the mixer-paths witch is inside the file and using a root explorer copy-paste the mixer paths in system/etc.Reboot the device
root device only
at your own risk
Is there the risk to break the speaker?
Edit: i tried the mod and, yes, it works, but sound quality is bad.
Volume tweak to surround profile.
There is too much gain on the speakers, introducing distortion. Open the surround mode's mixer_paths.xml file and search "LGE Mono Speaker" for the section that controls the volume during audio playback. There are two lines in the surround file version that look like this:
Code:
<ctl name="RX7 Digital Volume" value="88" />
<ctl name="RX1 Digital Volume" value="90" />
RX7 controls the back speaker volume. RX1 controls the earpiece volume. Default value is 84. To balance the sound in landscape mode while maintaining decent volume (without signifcant distortion), try changing the values to this:
Code:
<ctl name="RX7 Digital Volume" value="80" />
<ctl name="RX1 Digital Volume" value="88" />
You may adjust values as needed (rebalance RX7 up or down one to suit preference for volume vs stereo balance, take RX1 down one more to reduce distortion more, etc.) but these numbers seem better than the original surround profile.

Huh. That's funny, I was thinking about saying what audio files I was listening to, but decided to not do it. I used Flacs and only very few 320kbps mp3s, and I'm using Poweramp and dolby atmos. Sound quality is great at any volume [both on speakers and on earphones (the ones that come with the phone)], so thanks for your mixer paths edit.
Dolby atmosphere is a must with any of the sound mods. Viper4Android is also available.
