Hello,
I got a Huawei Mate 8 (NXT-L29) since yesterday and I am at a loss to resolve a problem I have with the app Outlook.
I tested the app on another phone and the problem does not appear.
When I try to start Outlook, a white screen appears for about 2 seconds and then it returns to the previous screen (launch screen or Google Play depending from where I tried to launch it). It is not even present in multitasking.
I can't find any answer as to how to solve this. I tried to uninstall and reinstall it, cleaning all apps cache (through phone parameters), restarting the phone, all of these at the same time. Nothing worked.
For information, I installed Microsoft Intune and signed up my device with it (company account).
The only thing I found about this is microsoft support saying to use the in-app built-in support, which is obviously not possible.
Thanks
I am having the same issue with my huawei P9 plus. I've installed Outlook and it just won't launch, gives a white screen and then closes. I've Uninstalled, restarted, bunch of times. No dice. Very frustrating.

Hello dear forum,
something weird happened to my One S 2 days ago and I would need your help, since I am, not very smartphone-savvy. I will try to describe the problem as detailed as possible.
It is important to mention, that since a few months the phone's USB connection didn't work properly (I can charge the phone on the PC, but it won't be recognised as a device by the PC). Also the phone doesn't seem to have an SC card?? I never really noticed this, but now it puts an obstacle in my way cause there is no easy way to recover my gallery etc.
While I was manually updating my apps (at the time of the happening: WhatsApp and Skype), I suddenly got the popup message "Google Play store stopped working". I wiped recent apps and started the play store again. Suddenly, various apps (Google Drive, Gmail, Play Store, Clean Master, you name it..) all stopped working and I got a huge amount of these "stopped working"- popup messages, including "android.process.acore has stopped working".
It was impossible to get rid of the messages, because they kept appearing over and over again on the screen.
I tried to restart the phone, which didnt fix the problem. It seemed like my apps just kept crashing over and over. I rebooted again after a while and everything seemed fine. My data was also still there and wifi worked too.
But then the phone froze. I tried restarting it via the hardware button. Since then, the phone seems dead. It only starts when connected tot he charger, but always keeps freezing at the "HTC One S" startup screen.
Now I mentioned the USB connection was not working properly even before this happened. I still tried plugging the phone into the PC, and it seemed to be searching for drivers for a certain "QHSUSB_DLOAD".
I have no idea what this means and would like to ask you for suggestions on what to do (or if there is anything I could do at all). I don't have much hope, but the best case scenario for me at this moment would be to have my photos recovered.
Thank you VERY much for your suggestions, it will be hugely appreciated!

Hello, it's my first post here so be lenient if you might.
My Idol 3 5.5 came back from repair (power button not working) and they replaced motherboard in order to fix it.
Everything seemed fine until I got home, connected to WiFi and tried to use Google Play. I downloaded all updates pending and tried to use WhatsApp. It said my time and date are wrong, I tried to change it few times, nothing helped. I uninstalled WhatsApp and Messenger (since it didn't work too) and tried to reinstall them. Suddenly notification about Google Play Services update popped out so as it said I did. After the update I've been greeted with whole bunch of similar notifications informing me that none of my apps will work and I have to update Google Play Services. That's a shame I already did... Tried cleaning cache and uninstalling updates etc. Nothing helped, still unable to use apps. After a while It has shown that it can't sync with my Google account, then informed me that I need to connect to the internet in order to use Google Play (I obviously was on my WiFi and internet connection was available, switched to mobile data and same occured). I performed factory reset, the phone didn't boot fo 10 minutes showing Alcatel animation so I turned it off. I opened service menu (power + vol up) and performed wipe from there, rebooted, phone started, configured it and same thing happened - no Google Play for me. I did it one more time, carefully logging in Google Account, not rushing anything in order not to screw up. Still nothing. At this moment I'm really frustrated since I can't use my phone and I'd really not want to send it to repair one more time since it lasts 2 weeks to get it back. Any ideas on how to fix it? Web browser worked fine, sms worked, phone calls were fine. Any ideas?

Maybe give Mobile Upgrade Q a try? It will flash the latest firmware available for your device and will probably fix any software-related problem
Factory reset and then turn on automatical time syncing. Wish you good luck.

factory reset...install google play services update and also google framwork updates..then reboot.
if this dont help go to the google play app and clear chache, then reboot.
if this also dont help go to recovery and wipe chache, thne reboot.
I've run into this for quite some time now, on both my Note 9, and my Huawei Mate 20 Pro.
All the things I find on resolving this suggest killing play store, deleting cache, deleting data etc. But even after that, it does not work well.
Seems it is a very important part of Android's eco-system, and yet very problematic.
Can anyone shed some light and/or permanent fix to this?
I'm a bit surprised there is no input on this.
I just needed to ininstall/reinstall an app. It was taking forever waiting on download. I deleted data and cache, and rebooted.
App ininstalled. The reinstall downloaded to 99%, and is not just sitting there.
I have to say it is VERY frustrating. I'm about ready to ditch Android. But that would be even more painful.
Did you use some VPN app when you downloaded apps with Google Play?
No. Although I do have NordVPN installed. But I have found that many sites are problematic to get to with it, both in the phone and PC. So I've stopped enabling it but haven't uninstalled it.
I'm guessing you think the VPN could be responsible.
I'll uninstall it and see if it changes anything.
Uninstalled, and rebooted. Trying to do update on some apps and it appears to have not helped.
Another interesting thing that happens at the same time that starts with the Google play store, is that I have a to-do app called DTG GTD. It gets to where the reminders coming from it, which flow through Light Flow, come in hours late. I had decided on my Note 9 that it was a problem with the phone. That's why I decided to get another new one, this Huawei mate 20 pro.
Now I just really don't know what to think. This starts about a month after I have either reflashed a phone or in this case bought a new one. I had factory reset and reloaded the Note 9 three times before I moved to this new phone.
I do have quite a few apps on my phone. Maybe it has to do with the mix of apps. Although, I wouldn't think it would take a month for it to start acting up.
Does anyone have the same problem as me I have discord, Skype and many other apps but I don’t get the notification for messages and etc!
yes I had the problem also. Got to settings-battery optimization and click on each app you want to get notifications from and select dont allow.
I have tried all of the following even with Huawei Email app:
1. Battery Op.
2. Notifications settings.
3. Even Premissions
And still nothing. I dont really

I had the same problem, reset the device..
Helped me...
i did that too!!!
Resetting helps as well. Huawei has aggressive memory management.
Can you please explain what you mean by 'resetting'?
As in a full factory reset, then side-load say Skype from apkpure, then notifications are all ok? That seems hard to believe.
I have a new P40 Pro, installed Skype (never tinkered with GMS) and notifications do not work.
I have a Chinese Mate 30 Pro 5G and since March no GMS installed (they worked perfectly when I bought the phone in November last year, the seller installed them, but stopped working at some point in March - out of no reason and I haven't been able to get them working properly again since then) - Skype notifications DO NOT work. No matter what. Factory reset doesn't help, battery optimisation disabled doesn't help, keeping it working in the background doesn't help, nothing really helps ... I found out that installing the app from Amazon Appstore (the version there actually looks like Skype Lite) makes the situation a bit better - at least notifications work for some 10-15 minutes after you open the app, but then stop working again even if the app is still running in the background. So forget about being available for a skype call ... you will most probably miss it and get no notifications until you open the app again.
I've tried installing GMS again lately (by several methods), but then even less notifications worked ... And also, since updating to EMUI 10.1.0.126 it's difficult to use the Lzplay, once you get it working, you can't uninstall Google Play Sevices unless you do a factory reset of the phone – so you won't be able to follow the latest instructions for installing the Google services on your phone).
In case you're wondering - without GMS, the situation with notifications for messaging apps on my phone is the following (my use of the messaging apps below is mostly work related):
-Messenger (installed from APK Pure): works 99%, sometimes the notifications for messages are a bit delayed (for a few minutes), but receiving a call always works
-Skype: as described before, but only when installed from Amazon Appstore, the usual Skype app gives no notifications
-Viber (installed from App Gallery): mostly works, sometimes notifications are delayed (up to 1 hour)
-WhatsApp (Installed by direct download link in the App Gallery): the only app that works with no issues at all (I always get all notifications instantly)
-Slack (installed from APK Pure): no notifications at all
-Teams (installed from APK Pure): no notifications at all
-Instagram - messaging (installed from APK Pure): no notifications at all
For emails I use Outlook and I mostly get all notifications instantly or there is a slight delay (a few minutes) – I use it for all my email accounts (Exchange, Gmail, Outlook …).
Honestly, considering how many apps just don't show any notifications, I'm slowly getting to the point of loosing it. A phone worth 1k€ that can not be used as a real smart phone ... It's really a big frustration. I didn't think it would be, but it simply is. Don't get me wrong – I really LOVE Huawei phones, especially the Mate series, but … On the other hand – beside Gmail account (which is not my primary email account but I still use it), I don't use or need (and I never have) any of Google apps or services (I was a Windows Mobile user before my first Android/Huawei experience, so believe me, I never needed any of the Google »****« in my life), but in case Huawei doesn't find a solution for such basic apps that are used widely in the western world, I don't think they will be able to keep us users loyal to their brand.
getting the same problem i have the chinese version of the device so annoying
can you help us ?
thank you.
Hi folks, had an issue with my camera/torch on my U11. I've had it for about 3 yrs and no troubles. It began crashing with the message "Unable to load the camera" and the torch icon was greyed out. I could see the samera dialog when I pressed the "Clear All" button, but it woul;dn't activate. The tech looked at it and said I could try a factory reset to see if that solves the problem, otherwise they could burn several hours troubleshooting software or replacing the camera, if that was the problem.
I have everything backed up on my Google account, messages, contacts, apps etc, so I tried the factory reset. Had some issues with Google Play crashing initially, once I got past the language change. The app crashed several times before I finally got it to load. Not wanting to restore everything at once, I skipped the step to restore apps from back up and data and went right to the clean phone. Now, when I try and open Google Play Store (or add a Google Account or anything Google), the app crashes just as it gets to the login screen. I've tried re-booting, clearing the cache, disabling the Boost+ as someone suggested in another forum, re-started, checked notifications and permissions but nothing seems to work...time for a new phone or does anyone have any ideas... thanks. Chris

I removed the micro-SD external storage and turned off the WiFi and it connected. Still no camera or torch/flashlight, which is why I went through the whole exercise to begin with. At least I can now log into Google (Play Store, GMail, accounts, etc)....

Thanks bud...while I am capable of going the DIT route, I'm time poor and have already burned a number of hours just getting to the point where I can now at least log in to my Google accounts to re-install apps and such. I will need a camera going forward, but will likely take the easy route that most camera makers prefer and buy a new one...I appreciate you taking your time to reply. Thanks!!
