Wifi and Sim issue after unlocking bootloader - XDA Assist

Hi, I downloaded kingroot from this website and rooted my phone without thinking ahead, I struggled but I managed to eventually solve the probelm by unlocking the bootloader :crying: now I'm faced with another issue, my wifi and dual sim card aren't working, I pressed alot of place to get my phone working before I unlocked the bootloader, i even did -fast boot flash flash recovery, ( that might have been where i got the problem with the wifi and sim) Anyways I would appreciate if you could help me get my wifi and sim working again, I have motorla 2gen dual sim, Australia . Also where can I download the lastest stock firmware 6.0 , I don't feel like rooting my phone anymore, this is way more complicated than jailbreaking on iphone.

Hi,
Thanks for using XDA assist.
Can you please confirm that you are using the Motorola Moto G 2nd Gen Dual Sim? This is so I can direct you to the correct forum so experts may help you.

[Q] SIM card not detected (Xperia Ray)

Hi everyone,
My phone was bricked (didn't know what I was doing when trying to unlock it with TP). I revived it with the SE Update Service. I also unlocked it while it was bricked. It's now working but the SIM card not being detected. I also flashed it after it was revived but no luck - SIM still not detected.
Could you guys give me some ideas how to fix this?
One strange thing I noticed: in the service menu it says [Bootloader Unlock Allowed: No] and I think I read somewhere that means it's already unlocked. But in the FlashTool it says [VER="R9A021"] and I read somewhere that R means bootloader is locked. Or am I wrong and it just means it's locked and can't be unlocked? Could that be the problem? Or does that have nothing to do with it?
Please help! Did as much search on this as I can but things are just too confusing for me...
BTW SIM works OK in a different phone and I doubt it's the pins as the phone is brand new and they look OK visually.
Thank you!

[Q] Moto G Telcel

Hi everyone, Im really interested in buying this awesome phone, but i have some doubts, so if any of you guys has the Telcel version of the Moto G could you please tell me if it can be unlocked and rooted like the other ones without having to pay motorola for an unlock code and how much did it cost you? The reason Im asking is because Im scared of it coming factory locked or something and I want to customize it as much as I can.
Thx in advance
Yes it can be unlocked and rooted
Hi, yes, it can be unlocked and rooted with the methods described in another posts, the issue I've found is that unlocking my phone completely broke the Motorola ROM and I had to flash another ROM, the default Telcel ROM didn't worked for me because the WiFi turned off inmediately (it coundn't be activated). So I've used the Google Play Edition, still I'm having issues with the /sdcard, some apps will say that there is no sdcard and that I have to install one.

[Completed] Sim card not unlocking?

I have a Moto G XT1032 (falcon 2013). I recently got it stuck on bootloader unlocked symbol, and managed to get it back on and working after completely wiping my phone and reinstalling the drivers via my pc.
When I did this, it was buggy and my phone wasn't working properly (lines appearing over my screen, icons glitching).
So, I decided to install a custom ROM. My phone reverted back to KitKat when I re-installed my drivers, so I had to go to Cyanogenmod 11, then update it to 12.1.
Now, I am on Cyanogenmod 12.1 and there is one problem. My sim card won't unlock. It says to put in the SIM PIN, and I do (which is definitely correct, I checked with my provider, Tesco Mobile). And it says that I cannot unlock the SIM. Then, my provider sent out a free SIM, which they sent already unlocked. Therefore, it should work without a PIN. However, when I use that SIM, it still asks for the PIN and I still cannot use my SIM card!
Can anyone help me? This means I can't text or make calls, or use data.

In order to 'unlock the SIM' you need to do hardware modifications... The SIM from Sprint is soldered to the board, you need some skill and proper tools in order to do this.
The Photon Q is not a 'world phone' - it does not have a SIM slot to just pop in any SIM.
Good News !!! SIM CARD MOD IS HERE !!! - that thread covers the topic, but again - this is not like popping out the old SIM and popping in a new one.
Good luck.

(SOLVED) Sim not detecting/Insert a valid sim card on your phone

Hello there, I am not new to xda but this is my first post. I've a question regarding my M8 Verizon bought from ebay. Its been a year now and everything was going well since one day I accidentally did s-on and locked the bootloader while using HTC ONE M8 Toolkit by Squabbi.
Then I again s-off'd my device using Sunshine method (firewater didn't worked as it was discontinued). So I paid 1600₹ to get my device s-off'd and unlocked bootloader. But since then I am unable to use any Indian sim whether airtel, idea or any other. I tried many possible solutions found on the internet as well as here on xda. Like I flashed firmware (old and new both), flashed radio firmware files old and new both but no luck. Either I restored my device to stock Verizon rom using the RUU provided by Dottat. But I couldn't find any luck and I'm still unable to use my sim card. My phone is unable to detect it. My device doesn't even pops up any notification for sim card now. Please Help. :crying:
Is there any solution for this? I'm in a need of this.
Waiting to be helped as soon as possible.
Hi,
I do not know if same pb...
Phone is working fine on Lollipop on european Gsm/LTE (sometimes going back to cdma by itself, a bit boring), and is asking for SIM pin number.
When going to marshmallow (by RUU or by OTA) the sim is deribed to be absent or invadid, and It did ask for the SIM pin number
I did not find any clue...
regards
After a lot of tries, it finally worked. And the sim is now detected. Thanks to Me.

I disassembled my M8, then replaced the sim reader inside the phone, then removed and reinserted the flex on the board. Then turned on the phone, and edited the system file located inside root/system/customize/ACC/default.xml to change the value of sku_id and region located at last in the file default.xml
You can search on google for SKU LIST XDA. It will show you the list for all regions.
