Is your phone rooted?

Easiest most direct way is dial 277634#*# it will open a menu.. Click "WiFi test" then "OTA settings" click "Disable" then reboot your phone. Notification will be gone.. No more OTA notices. I would then use es Explorer and navigate to device main then go into cache folder and delete the update.zip

If your phone is rooted, you can simply delete all named "updater/uprader/botaSettings" apk files in /system/app or /system/priv-app and reboot.

supercurio is one of my favorite developers alive
Yes, it apparently worked for supercurio (the author of the app) but I don't see how:
https://twitter.com/#!/supercurio/status/147840175920263168
One problem I've just noticed is that if you let Google re-install your apps and you had Superuser installed (via a ROM that pre-packaged it), it must have been flagged as a system app... so it gets re-installed to /system/app/
Just trying to remove it now and re-install the Superuser app from market...
---------- Post added at 10:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:56 PM ----------
- Manually removed /system/app/Superuser.apk
- Rebooted
- Installed Superuser from market
- Still stuck like before: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20381905&postcount=443
/system/xbin/su binary works great... Superuser.apk doesn't "wake up" when an app requires root so the apps think there's no root.

hi, i also rooted my device with framaroot and it's working fine without updating.
In case framaroot is asking for update after rooting and rebooting device. then try this. do not update it (it's not that update will work or not, i don't know. coz maybe i also missed something while updating). install some app to check for device root status. in case it's rooted, then do not update. and use it in same condition until you know what options to select and what needs to be taken care of for how to update.
for me it's working fine without updating. i don't recommend to do same as mine, i shared what worked for me. maybe it effect or maybe not but still working fine for me. wait for more replies....
Framaroot says super su installed....
And super su was installed but root checker says this device not have proper root access......
Framaroot is not asking me to update but the super su app says that su binary needs to be update......

what version of framaroot and which exploit method did you try?
i used 'Framaroot 1.9.2'.
without su binary update, try other exploit method. in case result is same. unroot your device and uninstall. install again, root, reboot and check root status again and respond.
---------- Post added at 08:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:51 PM ----------
for me, it did same. told me that it's successful but with root checker, it showed not proper rooted. then i tried other exploits too. other than boromir. to be honest i make experiments. after using other exploits it did worked then i unrooted, uninstalled and used boromir and it worked too....

[GUIDE] How to bypass every App Locker in Android

This guide will help you to bypass every app locker which include gallery locker, cm locker etc etc.
For this you should be able to access the phone settings .
Go to App section .
Select the app locker.
Click Force Stop.
Now you can open the app which is locked by the app locker without password.
Best way to protect from this is to lock settings.
Note:- Some antivirus app allow to force stop app. Lock such app to protect your self.
doesn't work because Applock advanced protection activated administrator. doest allow to force stop. if you disable device administrator. it required passwork
---------- Post added at 08:40 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:38 AM ----------
I have already tried it !!!. I have and idea I'd you have custom recovery like twrp. access file manager in recovery goto data/app find Applock/select it /then delete it/ reboot. it works.

Most people doesn't allow that
ok since that is the case then my guide is more effective, and smaller, and smarter
uninstall the applocker.
END.
Sorry but this is not that useful. Does anyone know how to unlock the device without damaging the data and without previous set up like this one?

Delete System Apps

Hi just wanted to ask everyone with a Mate 9 if it is possible to delete System apps. I have tried everything and no luck so far. Was always able to delete them on previous phones. Any advice would be appreciated. Many thanks

Some pre installed applications can be uninstalled but system applications need root.
Thanks but I already have root and unlocked bootloader but still cannot delete System apps. Is this because the system is encrypted?
Sent from my MHA-L09 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
I am interested as well.
And do changes to the system partition survive a reboot? I read about a guy here at xda loosing the modification of his platform.xml after a restart.
Would it be possible to delete System apps by using adb commands on a PC?

No. System is not encrypted.
It is because system (cust, vendor, ...) is protected by Android security (dm-verity).
Try Device Control root from the play store. That's what I used to delete some system apps.

Hi just tried Device Control but didn't work. Said uninstall was successful but the the apps were still present. Out of ideas now

You may want to try system app remover on the play store. It worked for me on my Honor 8 running EMUI 4.1 and 5.0
Have tried at least 4 of these system app remover apps and all say uninstall successful but the apps are still there. Don't think we can uninstall system apps due to dm-verity protection of the system partition. Will have to wait for a developer to look into this

You need root access to remove stock apps. If you have a rooted device try Lucky Patcher apk. I think it will help you.
Yes, you can remove system apps using the Terminal Debloater in the downloads section of Magisk Manager.
Why not just disable them?
Hope this helps
On your home screen in an empty spot hold down untill you see widgets and wallpaper ect. Then hit settings and it should be the 3rd from the bottom. Hope this helps.

I just tried Lucky Patcher and it was able to remove some apps, not all, but some. Obviously, some is better than none.
Just remember to do a TWRP backup first. I uninstalled Chrome and many other apps would not work.

What do you mean by 'in system apps'?
Assuming you ready had Google app already pre Installed in system, if you manually installed the pixel launcher the. It's placed in data instead of system. Usually if you flash it, it's placed in system. If it let's you uninstall it then it would be concerned a data(user app) and not system

(i recommend disabling ur default launcher so if an error happens you have access to a different launcher(example OP^ launcher)
Yes I just tested it and it worked for me, I have root explorer as my file manager (u need root fyi)
You can use a different root file explorer app(whatever suits you,
1. just to be safe backup ur launcher in Titanium Backup.
2. go to /data/app and locate the folder come.google.nexus..... (i forget the rest of the folder name)
3. cut the folder once you locate it and move it to /system/priv-app/ and paste the folder
Make sure permissions are rwxr-xr-x(when I pasted mine I just did a reboot and it worked fine.)
4. reboot phone!

Yes because you need to unlock the bootloader for that. It will wipe everything on your phone. There's a great guide in the news & dicussion forum (pinned). Feel free to follow it.

If you are not a root user it can cause more problems than needed, do you have Google Hangouts? I can help you one on one better there!

Root it's self doesn't wipe ur phone, it's unlocking nthe bootloader (which is required to root or add twrp recovery)
