hi, i also rooted my device with framaroot and it's working fine without updating.
In case framaroot is asking for update after rooting and rebooting device. then try this. do not update it (it's not that update will work or not, i don't know. coz maybe i also missed something while updating). install some app to check for device root status. in case it's rooted, then do not update. and use it in same condition until you know what options to select and what needs to be taken care of for how to update.
for me it's working fine without updating. i don't recommend to do same as mine, i shared what worked for me. maybe it effect or maybe not but still working fine for me. wait for more replies....
Framaroot says super su installed....
And super su was installed but root checker says this device not have proper root access......
Framaroot is not asking me to update but the super su app says that su binary needs to be update......

what version of framaroot and which exploit method did you try?
i used 'Framaroot 1.9.2'.
without su binary update, try other exploit method. in case result is same. unroot your device and uninstall. install again, root, reboot and check root status again and respond.

for me, it did same. told me that it's successful but with root checker, it showed not proper rooted. then i tried other exploits too. other than boromir. to be honest i make experiments. after using other exploits it did worked then i unrooted, uninstalled and used boromir and it worked too....

thanks bud i certainly appreciate it and cant live without voodoo
supercurio is one of my favorite developers alive
Yes, it apparently worked for supercurio (the author of the app) but I don't see how:
https://twitter.com/#!/supercurio/status/147840175920263168
One problem I've just noticed is that if you let Google re-install your apps and you had Superuser installed (via a ROM that pre-packaged it), it must have been flagged as a system app... so it gets re-installed to /system/app/
Just trying to remove it now and re-install the Superuser app from market...
---------- Post added at 10:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:56 PM ----------
- Manually removed /system/app/Superuser.apk
- Rebooted
- Installed Superuser from market
- Still stuck like before: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20381905&postcount=443
/system/xbin/su binary works great... Superuser.apk doesn't "wake up" when an app requires root so the apps think there's no root.
I installed cwm and installed the update.zip and all ws a success. SU is also installed w/out me doing it from market. I used joey krim root checker and says i dont have root privileges. Maybe thats not the correct way for this device though.

you can install "titanium backup root" from google play. if titanium backup works then your device is rooted.

you can download root checker app from Play Store.
I received the OTA update of 4.1.1 for my Galaxy Tab2 7.0 and installed it without a hitch. I now want to root the device. Working from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1887757 and after several false starts I figured out how to get the clockworkmod recovery image installed. I rebooted into CWM's recovery partition and selected cwm-root-gtab2.zip from the external sdcard. I then rebooted and made sure to disable the rom from overwriting CWM recovery. Upon booting into the Android environment, I found a new app: Superuser. I then installed Rootchecker to check to see if the device was indeed rooted. It said that it was not. Curious, I did "adb shell" on my Linux box and noticed that I could become root by typing "su" there. I installed AdAway and it complained "Either the su binary could not be found or you did not allow root permission for AdAway.". None of these root-requiring apps caused a dialog asking for root permission to pop up. What am I doing wrong?

I did both of those. They didn't work. Let me restate: the su binary was installed and works. Somehow the apps can't find it.
(later...)
I found this thread which did work: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1880010
Thanks for the help and suggestion!
I ended up installing other rom, which had the root working fine and then tried again to flash this one and its working now.
i just rooted my phone using motochopper. and am trying to use ltm launcher. every time i open it, it says root context not able to get permission.
and then when i go to the superuser, it says the superuser binary (su) must be updated. and it ask if i want to recovery install or just install, but none of it works. i even downloaded supersu from chainfire and it says there is no su binary installed. so i need help getting root permission to apps so i can get lmt launcher to work.
i read an old post with they guy with the same problem and u told him to flash it with something but i am not really sure how to do that. so if u can kind of explain how to do that.
thanks

Just installing the super user app from play store doesn't root your phone.
SuperUser app only manages root permissions. It itself does not root the phone. Head over to your xda section and read there how to root your phone .

Like I've said I have already rooted my phone using motochopper. That's not the problem. The problem is not getting super user updated

Did you follow the official rooting procedure as given in your xda forum? Because if your phone is rooted then you won't face any problem related to SuperUser app and updating binary and all these stuffs.
I've had the same problem as listed above.
you can easily root canvas hue 2 a316 using Kingroot.
I have also made video as proof.
1. enable usb debugging and unknown sources and disable the doctor safety app. its stupid.
2. install the kingroot apk.
3. install root checker.
4. start kingroot apk and wait.
5. once done it will give a purify prompt. ignore. you can use purify task manager later. ( LOL )
6. now start root checker and see.

Please anybody make a lollipop ROM for Canvas A316
SOS
Hi,
I managed to root Micromax a316 using your method successfully. Then I used 'Titanium Back up Pro' to transfer my apps and settings and somehow my phone was f****ed up. I went into 'bootloop'. Then, I managed to do a factory reset and phone is working now but I can't root it using Kingroot. Any guesses?
Best,
Chirag
