you can install "titanium backup root" from google play. if titanium backup works then your device is rooted.

[Q] Re-root HypernoSense ROM

Hi,
after uninstalling SuperSU to install SuperUser i have lost root permission on my sensation with HyperNoSense modding ROM.
I have tried to re-root with su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip into recovery mode and with HTC Supertool but lot of apps doesnt work (like root explorer or batterycalibration), maybe seems to work "lucky patcher" cause say when i boot the phone that a Patch was applied for an app.
How can i restore root permanently?
Thank you

[Q] GS4 installing superuser

i just rooted my phone using motochopper. and am trying to use ltm launcher. every time i open it, it says root context not able to get permission.
and then when i go to the superuser, it says the superuser binary (su) must be updated. and it ask if i want to recovery install or just install, but none of it works. i even downloaded supersu from chainfire and it says there is no su binary installed. so i need help getting root permission to apps so i can get lmt launcher to work.
i read an old post with they guy with the same problem and u told him to flash it with something but i am not really sure how to do that. so if u can kind of explain how to do that.
thanks

Just installing the super user app from play store doesn't root your phone.
SuperUser app only manages root permissions. It itself does not root the phone. Head over to your xda section and read there how to root your phone .

Like I've said I have already rooted my phone using motochopper. That's not the problem. The problem is not getting super user updated

Did you follow the official rooting procedure as given in your xda forum? Because if your phone is rooted then you won't face any problem related to SuperUser app and updating binary and all these stuffs.
I've had the same problem as listed above.

[Q] Superuser can't grant root acess and crashes.

Hey,
A few days ago, my Superuser app stopped granting root access, and now it crashes ranodmly.
I know I'm not the first one and I read many things about it but everything I tried was unsuccessful.
I tried to update the Superuser app but it needs root access at the end of the process.
I checked if my phone was still rooted with a "Check Root" app and it's still rooted.
I tried to install BusyBox, but it needs root access.
I tried to uninstall the Superuser app and the re-install it but since it's a default app included with my ROM I can't uninstall it.
I have a Galaxy Appolo running with Kyrillos 9.7.
Does anyone know how I can fix this ?
Superuser app is being reported to have issues at some point. Try Chainfire's SuperSU app, and see if that works.
If that too didn't work, maybe your root permissions have been messed up, not sure though.

I installed it, but when I launch it it tells me to update the SU binaries. I tried to do it but the process just seems to take forever, so I suppose it's not working.

Then I guess there are problems with your root permissions maybe. Try other Superuser app just to confirm it, and if needed re-install your ROM as a last resort.

Installed TWRP but SuperSU is not working!!

Installed TWRP but SuperSU is not working!!
installed TWRP via Inthiaano One Plus One Toolbox & have installed SuperSU...but Root Checker or titanium says i don't have root access!
What should i do?
Have you flashed supersu binary zip?
Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
Why not just flash SuperSU manually? Why not just do everything manually? Toolkits are notoriously unreliable.

If you flash SuperSU and it doesn't show up in your drawer, go to the Play Store and download SuperSU by chainfire. This should prompt all of the binary updates and root access that you're looking for. I just updated to 44S and this happened to me.

[Question] Root Help

Hello Everyone, few days ago I rooted my device, Then I decided to check if it is rooted or not. So I downloaded root checker and It Says, "Sorry Root access isn't installed properly in this device". While I am able to use other rooted apps like nobloat, adblock, etc.. but having problems in installing Xposed firmwork and renaming etc/install-recovery.sh into etc/install-recovery.sh.bak..
What should I do? And is my device rooted or not?

Do you have an app to control root access e.g. SuperUser. If not download superuser and use it to control permissions as it may be that you have root but applications can't gain access as theres nothing to grant them access.
If that doesn't work just root again.
Thanks, I already have superuser.. and root explorer solved the renaming problem.. but Still having issue while installing xposed
