Installed TWRP but SuperSU is not working!!
installed TWRP via Inthiaano One Plus One Toolbox & have installed SuperSU...but Root Checker or titanium says i don't have root access!
What should i do?
Have you flashed supersu binary zip?

Why not just flash SuperSU manually? Why not just do everything manually? Toolkits are notoriously unreliable.

If you flash SuperSU and it doesn't show up in your drawer, go to the Play Store and download SuperSU by chainfire. This should prompt all of the binary updates and root access that you're looking for. I just updated to 44S and this happened to me.

Hi,
after uninstalling SuperSU to install SuperUser i have lost root permission on my sensation with HyperNoSense modding ROM.
I have tried to re-root with su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip into recovery mode and with HTC Supertool but lot of apps doesnt work (like root explorer or batterycalibration), maybe seems to work "lucky patcher" cause say when i boot the phone that a Patch was applied for an app.
How can i restore root permanently?
Thank you

I've rooted my Samsung Galaxy S2X and updated with SuperUser 3.1.3.
Is there anyway for me to change/update this Super User to SuperSU v0.99 ? How can I do that? Do I need to re-flash the SuperSU.zip file again from Recovery?
Reason being SuperSU v0.99 is user to use, I could grant/deny apps from the options.
Thanks.

You will need to delete the current su binary on your system partition, then flash ss. Though superuser is the superior app and has all the necessary settings. Easiest way is through the team win recovery project - TWRP - file manager.

I've deleted the superuser.apk using root explorer and then I install SuperSU from market play. When performing the update, it says update failed. Now I cannot access to my Titanium Backup. Luckily I've performed backup using TWRP and restored back all the files.
Is there any other way to update to SuperSU? Can I just use TWRP to flash the SuperSU file (found this rar file "Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed") directly? Please advice. Thanks
Yeah, simply download supersu from play store and install it. Open it and it will ask you to update su binary, then superuser will ask for permission, allow. Then use a root un installer app or root explorer and delete the superuser.apk and reboot phone

Is that the UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.99r3 ?
Also, do you think I can put TWRP and Root it again using the toolkit? (Or any other way that won't wipe my phone)

Rooting wont erase anything. Drop the toolkit learn to do it manually, it will save you a lot of headaches. Copy the su file to your phone, reboot into TWRP recovery, install from zip, find and install superSU file. If root does not stick, look into SU settings and remove " Respect CM Root Settings " and reboot to system.
my phone is 100% rooted and has the latest su binary installed.
most of root apps work fine but recently i have faced problems with two apps which are Psiphon and Tasker.
-When i tick "force root tunnel" in psiphon, it says "root mode is not supported for this version of android" and confirmation box of superuser didnt show at all.
(force root tunnel means tunneling the device without using the built-in VPN service API like in android 2.3)
-Tasker does not request for su permission when force kill (root access) is checked.

I solved it.
installing phh needed the latest version of twrp (3.0.2)
after a successfull flash of the zip package (superuser.zip), I lost root access and the old superuser app from chainfire was deleted.
Can you tell me how to install phh step by step?

Do you not have the new superuser app anywhere it should be there. Try installing the app from play store and see

I flashed the superuser.zip again and this time I wiped the dalvik cache. Now i got the root acces back but still the two apps Psiphon and tasker are NOT requesting for su permission while other apps have no problem with it.

I have another phone (android 2.3) rooted with kingroot and Psiphon seems to be compatible with kinguser

The problem is due to missing Tun module which is not available for my device. Galaxy core prime comes with a preloaded Tun module in the kernel and it's not replacable nor compatible with Psiphon.
Old VPN clients do not depend on the built in VPN service API but require a custom Tun module to perform the tunnel in root mode.
As for the tasker, a recommended modification on the build.prop fixed the issue.
Thanks anyway.
