HTC camera issues. - HTC One A9

Just noticed that I can't zoom in while taking video or take screen shots of video while playing it back after the video is taken. When I first got the A9 I was able to do both. Anyone else notice this or know how to get it back?

So no one then huh?

Razr HD - Camera exposure fail in Video Mode

Is there any way to fix the Razr HD camera? In its current form its seriously flawed.
For example, I record some 1080 video in front of my very bright projector screen in a pitch black room (game replays from F1 2012) and the video recording is extremely dark, greenish, and grainy. Compared to video I've taken with my SGSIII and Nexus 4 which capture video flawlessly and exactly as I see it on the big screen, the Razr is really really bad...
I've tried a few different apps, yesterday on recommendation I downloaded the Camera JB+ app but it also just seemed to make it worse (even darker and more green)..
Has anyone found a fix for the Razr HD camera? Is there a way to hack it?? I've even found that outdoor still shots vary too, some overexposed, some underexposed, even when taking several of the same shot in exactly the same light, one photo after the other....
Surely Moto can make it better, I use the video recording all the time on this phone, and its a total fail right now, so much so I'm going to sell it

Galaxy S6 missing video viewing and editing features found previous Galaxy devices

Hey everyone, just wanted to run this by you guys to get an opinion and possibly some insight as to a few features that seem to be missing on the S6.
First off I have owned every Galaxy S device, from the old Vibrant to my current S6, also had a Note 3 and the beast phone Note 4 which my S6 replaced.
I received my S6 on April 2nd and have messed with it a lot to try and learn the ins and outs of it.
Now to the issue at hand, I do quite a lot of picture and video taking, the first thing I noticed is there is no "capture" feature in the video viewer settings which allow me to go frame by frame and snap a photo within the video, its an awesome feature and is very useful when wanting to capture a perfect shot you couldnt really capture with the camera shutter.
Second thing I just stumbled upon a few minutes ago, I took a 0:54 video in 4K but wanted to trim just the first and last few seconds . The trim editing tool took entirely waayyy too long (abour 3 minutes) after pressing export and not only that but it did not allow me to retain the 4K resolution, highest I could choose was 1080p.
I still have my Note 4 and tested it out just to see if maybe I was just overreacting.
Turns out the Note 4 will trim the exact same video and retain 4K resolution in no joke, 7 seconds. Any idea why?
Am I missing something here? Also anyone find the "capture" feature when viewing a video?
Can the Note4 video trimmer be ported into the S6? Perhaps it will be fixed as the device is technically not even out yet so I may be a first to notice.

I've noticed the same problem. I have my Note 4 side by side. The screen capture option is missing. Disaster. One of the best features of using 4K video is to grab 8mp photos!!! No editing either. Why Samsung!!
My solution is to take a screen shot. Not as easy as the Note 4. Seems to be around 3.5 to 5mb in file size vs normal screen shots of 203kb.

[Q] Slow motion videos are too dark?

I got a Sprint 64gb S6 on Friday. Since then, I have had some trouble with the camera. The most noticeable is when I go to take a slow motion video.
The image looks fine when I am getting the subject in focus, but then as soon as I hit record the image gets really dark, to the point where you can hardly make anything out in the video.
Does anyone else have this problem, or is there a solution? Is this just a defective camera?
yeah. i get the same problem. And i get that the video is in very low quality. I see frame skip and worse.
Can anyone tell me what should I do to fix this problem?

Blurry Photos when taken up close

I was trying to use the this barcode scanning application to scan a barcode and for some reason the main camera does not want to focus when anything is only several inches a way.
I thought it might be the app but when I tried it in the stock camera app I noticed that the camera cannot focused on anything close up.
Is anyone else not able to get focused macro shots?
Yes, it's impossible to focus on a object that is close. I don't think it's a problem but the (****ty) way this camera focus. I wonder if any fix regarding this and the slow focus can be done by ROM devs.
Nexus 6 Camera suffers blurry close ups too

As you can see in the above link this guy has the same exact problem with focusing on close object that my Moto Maxx has on both video and still shots.
He RMA'd his phone and the replacement works perfectly fine.
Isn't the camera on the Nexus 6 the same as on the Moto Maxx?
Can anyone else confirm if they have this problem with the Moto Maxx or not?
Thanks
SOLVED!
So I was able to solve this problem by opening up the phone and replacing the rear camera module itself.
I purchased a Droid Turbo XT1254 Camera Module on Ebay for $25.00 shipped.
Took me about 15 min to install using a Droid Turbo Teardown Youtube video as a guide.
Now I can take photos of barcodes, labels, that are clear and about 3 - 4 inches away.
Hope this helps anyone with the same problem.
I also solved this issue by replacing the camera as rbalfury suggested but I'm not happy with the performance of the camera. I blame it on the software side since it doesn't allow me to manually focus the damn thing and my lg g2 could take awesome macro shots and could see very fine details with it. This camera focuses automatically and before it finishes focusing you can see for an instant when it's adjusting that it becomes crystal clear but then blurs up the shot a bit which sucks. Need a camera software with manual focus but no luck yet.

Poor video recording in applications and instagram

Hello good afternoon
I bought the maxx bike about 3 days ago, and it's an excellent cell phone, except for some things that are not optimized like the performance of the battery, which is solved with greenify.
I come from a motorola G1 and Alcatel idol 3, and I am astonished that the video recording on the moto maxx is inferior or similar to the one of these cell phones, I still can not find any app that will benefit you :/
Find an app that really took advantage of the photos, like the bacon camera or the HDR snap camera, but I still can not find an app that makes me satisfied with the video recording :/
Do you recommend any app for video recording?
A query, I occupy many social networks, and I just realized that when I try to record a video in stories is really horrible, it seems recorded in 360p, you know why that happens?
Edit: Here I found people with the same problem https://www.reddit.com/r/droidturbo/comments/57yy4p/instagram_story_camera_quality_on_turbo_1/
Greetings and thanks.
Your answer is in that thread:
I had the same experience with the photos as you described. Videos just look like garbage. FYI I just found out you can upload from your camera roll if you swipe down while in the story camera. I’ll test the quality and see if it is better when taken with the normal camera first.

I have been uploading from the camera roll and have been getting much clearer uploads compared to shooting in the app. I only use the main camera so I can't comment on the selfie camera. I imagine the app just is not optimized for the og turbo's camera. Maybe it will get better but I might have a new phone by then.

DON'T use that app to record your video. Record your video and attach it/upload it through app.
