XAMARIN - Other Tools & General Discussion

Does anyone here use Xamarin to develop android apps? I wonder whether it would be worth having a Xamarin section besides Android Studio. I know Xamarin already have their own help forum, but I think it would be nice to have something similar on XDA for the XDA community. What do you guys think?

If you know any winmo coders it would be easy to make a port, the api is open for developers and if someone could just code the app, he could make a fortune. The WP& version is made by a third party also.

Tips for rom and app development

Hi, I'm a relatively new user (I have been a part of the community but more of a reader rather then an active voice.) I was hoping for help in finding the necessary resources and educational documents to create Tom's and applications for the android platform. I know this seems like a very "nooby" question and request but I would be very thankful if someone could help me. Thank you in advance.

App dev

I posted this in Android general q&a figured ide post here too. I have an amazing idea for an app that could make alot of profit.. But i'm clueless, on how to code it.. Could someone tell me where to start or hook me up with someone that could do it?

Program your apps in Java. The most convenient IDE for beginners is typically Eclipse with the Android plugin. You'll want to read up on object oriented programming as well, since Java is an oop language. You'll do well to understand oop concepts because you can apply them to other languages, such as Objective C (the language that Apple uses; if you're looking to maximize profit, you're inevitably going to have to port to iPhone).

for more responses i would post in the general android development thread that is how i learned a bit more and then realized way to much work for me as i have not the silightest clue about coding devin' etc... but they were very helpful and very quick responders..

"Delphi" like development environment for Android.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but the development forums seem to be mainly for developing custom rom. If there is a better forum let me know. If you are a moderator and there is a better forum, please feel free to move this thread there.
Is there an application like Delphi ( actually I liked C++Builder myself, but they are mostly the same ) for Android?
I'm not talking about Pascal here, but an environment similar to Delphi.
XDA Development Android forums may be a better source .

I think the closet you will get to that @ the moment is AIDE - Android Java IDE

[Completed] [Q] testers for iOS App beta test

Hello everyone!
I decided to port my application to iOS and beta testing on iOS is much harder then on android.
Is there any board for iOS developers on xda?
If there isn't where can I post thread about recruiting volunteers for testing?
Or maybe someone can advice me some communities or services?
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist XDA Only Supports Android and Windows Platform You may not get any support for IOS here
