hi everyone, im new to XDA & also new to Android OS. I need someone who knows what they are doing to help me understand XDA & how the rooting process works.
any experienced rooters out there looking for a student??

Far as learning what XDA is all about, this thread is a good place to start.
Welcome to the XDA community! I'm still relatively new to the Android OS as well, and my knowledge expands greatly by the day here. Really, the best way to learn XDA is to explore it all and read a lot before posting!
XDA is the resource to goto, to find out how to do stuff. However, don't shy away from using Google to familiarize yourself with the jargon used in the Android mod community. It is invaluable to know what rooting, bootloader, recovery, fastboot and adb mean, before attempting to modify your phone/tablet to something better software wise.
I haven't been around too long but I've successfully flashed roms on 3 phones if you need anything pm me. And I've done a little bit more but not much. My most advanced knowledge is making the hello world app with java lol. Good luck to ya and welcome.
The device specific forums are the best place to get rooting info for your phone. You'll find guides and wiki therein.

the rooting process is relatively easy. just to to your device forum and im sure there will be a post/thread that will explain how to root

There's a possibility I might be getting an interview with Microsoft as a customer support analyst, i received these as being possible questions I could be asked if selected for interview, I'm not a noob but most of my knowledge is about Android, i did have a HTC HD2 the which had Windows 6.5 phone but as soon as android was available i used that.
Apologies if this isn't the correct forum I can't think of anywhere else to post and hoping someone might be of assistance.
1- Scenario - You are a support engineer who has to contact a Windows 7 phone developer and ask them to change their application rating from E (Everyone) but to this T (Teen) but talk me through the conversation as if I am the application developer.
2- What are the free resources MS provides to troubleshoot problems developers might encounter?

1) dev: I want to change my ratting from E to T
support: go to the guys who emitted the rating and re-complete the test, then upload the certificate in your app's description as an update.

Hello all.
So I had no idea where to post this because I'm always on the forum regarding my phone and Roms.
However, I have an idea for an app that would seriously change the way we use our cell phones.
I don't have any development experience and honestly don't know how long it would take for me to learn how to make my app.
So I'm looking for someone to share in this development with me as a partner and help bring me idea to life.
If anyone could help me with first, where this post should be posted and second, how to go about becoming partners and making this a full app to submit to apple or google to start making a huge difference in people lives.
