I have nearly finished porting the stock gb launcher to newer devices. The ONLY thing I am missing is the dark icon labels. Does anyone know how I can make these with drawables and xml?

Hi Guys,
Please help.
I've done a semi-custom build for a SoM based on Ti AM3354. All works well except for the landscape display.
I get a very strange "double-render" when the display change to landscape - just after the boot animation.
Please see attache photo.
I looked at changing dpi and investigated the layers in surfaceflinger - the issue seems to be caused by the animation service; but I might be totally wrong.
Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Louis

I have changed my background and alot of other things. My in-text text box mask is a different color. I went into drawables and colored it the right color but got a error. I don't know what to do to make the mask match so it looks good. Do i have to code it or something? Need help. thanks.
Hi,
If you search Google on "Kik xda", you will find some themes and mods for it. But I can't find a guide on how to do it yourself.
You could ask about it here though... http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help
Good luck!
This question is not particular to a specific device. I have a phone and tablet, one on Marshmallow, one on Lollipop, and they're using the stock ROMs.
I'm trying to get a particular look and feel from my home screen that I haven't been able to get yet. I think it is mostly because of a lack of experience, creativity, and the right tutorials/direction that would help me.
A little background... I have used Themer, SSLauncher, Apex, Nova (a loooong time ago), and a few other launchers, as well as Popup Widget 2 and Zooper.
Thanks all
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA assist.
Unfortunately, it may be hard for others to help you unless you are specific on the 'look and feel' you want on your home screen.
Try describing what you want in the most detail you can, and I'm sure you will find a solution.

I know qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 adds a nav bar to roms that don't have it. But this is only an emulation right?
So how to actually enable the nav bar? Edit key layout by adding VIRTUAL flag? Can someone explain this "key" thing? How to make android think that hardware keys never existed and virtual buttons are all it has?
