I have changed my background and alot of other things. My in-text text box mask is a different color. I went into drawables and colored it the right color but got a error. I don't know what to do to make the mask match so it looks good. Do i have to code it or something? Need help. thanks.

If you search Google on "Kik xda", you will find some themes and mods for it. But I can't find a guide on how to do it yourself.

I just got a bunch of nice backgrounds and i'd like a utility to cycle through them. Does anyone know if such a thing exists? i did a quick search but couldnt find anything on this forum.

thanks, im still looking through some of those links. but from my first impression it looks like those links provide programs to rotate the whole theme rather than just the background pic. Do you know if this is the case?

That's still searching for something that changes the entire theme, isn't it?
What I want is something to just change the wallpaper/background from a directory with many background images.
I tried searching google for "wm5 change backgrounds" but couldn't find what I was looking for. (my google skills suck)
Maybe I just don't understand how a theme changer could change my backgrounds for me.

Hi Guy I'm New with Android OS I come from WinMo and I like to start make My device more nicer I think the first step for me to learn is How to skin or Change the Icons In Top Bar.can some of You Guys can point me to the Guide lines.The Images I post is from users mrnv45,JokerAce & myn here in XDA but like you see myn & mrnv45 match the top bar icons with his theme and applications Icons this is what I like to do but just one step at a time for now just the top bar Icons.Please all the info is really appreciated.

well you may be new to android but with 129 posts you are obviously not new to these forums so you should know how to search. and this goes in the themes section, not software and hacking. and if you had searched that forum youd have found the answer...you should try it some time.
the images you are looking for are in framework-res.apk in res/drawable. just replace them with whatever you like, then sign and flash.
all the answers you need are in the Android themes section. try searching there before posting next time, as it is QUITE LIKELY that whatever your question is, it has already been answered there at LEAST once...

So i'm starting a theme (found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=862598) but I'm still new to all this. Could someone give me some help, as I would like to change the text in the status bar and pull down notification bar to white. I think this is found in services.jar from the research I have done, but have not found instructions that seem to pertain to editing status_bar.xml for the Droid X.
If someone(s) would be willing to give me feedback and assist with this, I would really appreciate it!

would really like to edit some of my apps with the first on my list being the phone/dialer activity so that I can remap the left button on the dialer to *86 and not get a force close everytime I use it....can some one help me do this or at least point me in the right direction...I have the dialer looking the way that I want but that button not being functional is bugging the **** out of me. Thanks in advance.

Edit: I would also like to have some help changing the color of the in and out bubble colors on the stock messaging app since the gold and baby blue don't go with my theme anymore...want like a android green and cobalt blue but when I change them with gimp...the bubbles don't show up the right size I guess gimp doesn't edit .9png files properly

Moving to General
Greetings I've been trying to mod the default color on Pandora. I have most of it done except for the blue background where the player is (see the pic). I'm sure it's something I'm over looking.
If anyone can help me figure out how to change this and the location of the drawable or xml. I will add you to the credit, this is a massive help. Source can be downloaded from my Google drive.
