I just got a bunch of nice backgrounds and i'd like a utility to cycle through them. Does anyone know if such a thing exists? i did a quick search but couldnt find anything on this forum.
http://www.google.dk/search?hl=da&q=today+theme+rotator&btnG=Google-søgning&meta=lr=lang_da|lang_en
thanks, im still looking through some of those links. but from my first impression it looks like those links provide programs to rotate the whole theme rather than just the background pic. Do you know if this is the case?
if so just change the search to something like this
http://www.google.dk/search?hl=da&q=today+theme+switcher&btnG=Søg&meta=lr=lang_da|lang_en
That's still searching for something that changes the entire theme, isn't it?
What I want is something to just change the wallpaper/background from a directory with many background images.
I tried searching google for "wm5 change backgrounds" but couldn't find what I was looking for. (my google skills suck)
Maybe I just don't understand how a theme changer could change my backgrounds for me.
Please advise.
Thank you.

Hi,
Is there a way to change the color of the font used on the "Today" screen?
I have searched for this thinking that someone would already've asked the question but couldn't fine anything on it.
many thanks,
lstocky
Keep looking.
You have to use a program that generates today screen themes...covered SOOOO many times in the past.
If for some strange reason you can't find it here, try on google for "pocket pc" today theme
Cheers
Ant
thanx for coming back on that.

Dear all, I know that probably you have heard this request already but after 2 days being stuck with trying to find a simple solution I decided to write. I need the following:
Simple task bar, soft key bar transparency cab.
Now I know this can be achieved through HDWall and TF3D but isn't there a most simple solution?
I tried using TF3D and couldn't find propper instructioins because they ende up here.
Tried the search function but nothing comes up.
Sorry for the new thread but will appreciate a lot if someone could give me a hint.

I know you've said you've already thought of HDWall, but I really don't see what's wrong with that as a solution. It's real easy to use and you simply end up with a cab file. It'll take like 2 minutes to create your own cab.
Just follow the instructions on the main HDWall thread and you'll have what you're asking for.
Thanks for the prompt reply. The only reason why I don't want to use it is because I love to change my wallpapers very oftenly (depending on my moods). That is why I was thinking of a most simple solution...

Well like I said, HDWall only takes a couple of minutes to create a cab, so you can have full resolution wallpaper, on all your tabs, with whatever config you want for the look of the whole screen. I've got a collection of cabs on my device. I can change my wallpaper simply by running one of them.
Each to their own, but it really is too easy.
Good luck
I would love to learn how to make themes; however, I can't find anything that remotely explains the process entirely. I'm seriously about to freak out (ya know, wanting to do that primal scream!) ...how could these directions be so hard to find?
P.S.
If there are magical threads I'm missing........and you post them......can you post the one that is thorough? Oh ya...sorry for the sarcasm......this is just so frustrating!
Glad you asked that question as I too also want to know the process of how to make a fully theme ;o)
You can start by downloading the programs to be able to see and edit the files you will be playing with. Mode9 Editor and CFC_GUI as well as others to see XML pages, etc, etc. AS to how to make a theme is all dependent on what type of theme you are looking to make. Are you looking to skin manila, titanium, SPB??????????
If you are looking to do manila then Mode9 is good for moving things around, changing how they function, and their look. If you are just going for look and simple use in manila I use CFC_GUI.
If you search you will find these programs. In their threads are directions on how to use each. Now I'm not going to get into specifics here because it's different for each type of GUI you want to use/skin. Needless to say a theme is just a series of images that create the over all look of said GUI.
So choose the GUI you want and start studying on that type. The info is out there you just need to narrow down the search perimeters.
and where to start when i want to create winmo themes (not manila) ?
thanks
As far as what? The menu bars? The curtains? As far as I know most of them are XML and png's.
hey guys
i've been trying to find info on doing this for weeks and havent found anything so now i'm posting,
when you go into messaging or people tabs and tap to see all everything has a grey background, and same in some settings menus. i would like to see about editing this to make my rom the way i would like it...
is there any way to change this to, for example, black and change the text colour to white and so on?
i've had a look at the packages and can't figure out what i need to do to change this.
is it possible or just a pipe dream of mine...
cheers guys
dave
hi...
so you should try to learn editing mode9, lua and qtc files from manila packages...
good start for this is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=464984

Have you tried soft-reseting the device after installation?
Also..You'd probably get better answers as well as faster responses by asking questions in the developers original thread instead of starting a new one.
thanks. first time didnt work then did. but using with cht so dunno if that cause and issue? trying the chts theme too, whats the diffrence?
why does the background look blurry when the image file doesnt? and why dont the images you want to set as your today background never have the option to but the others do?
and also whys the background white on the calendar when the numbers and stuff are too. cant see a thing.
ok I guess im probably the best person to try and answer your questions on this one.....
ill start with the difference between the two versions.
the one from the theme thread contains a lot more files and is a more complete theme off the sense interface, however that does mean it can be a little bit of a pain in the ass to get it set up how you like it.
the chts version which im guessing you got from the link in my sig is kind of a "light version" it only really themes the cht stuff.
my advice would probably be to read up on chtscheduler and use that version. if you want other bits from the full theme then I can make you individual cabs for those.
as long as you have cht2.0 and cht scheduler installed everything should work fine.....
instructions for the chts one are in the thread.
the blurry wallpaper could be down to settings in chteditor, try selecting hq wallpaper mode. im not sure what you mean by options to set images as your today background.
your problem with the calendar is because when we created the theme we were using roms that had black text on the calendar tab and didn't really think about those with white text. tomorrow ill make a black and orange wallpaper for you if you want......
and thanks for using the theme
