Hi,
Is it possible to program trigger with tasker or any other app to auto start an smart view connection when I read an NFC tag?
i've searched for this function but couldnt find it anywhere.
Thanks,
Did you get a solution for this. I am wanting to get this to trigger as well

Hey guys, did you find a solution to trigger smart view?
No nothing.

Install an app called "Miracast Shortcut", then run the app in tasker.
This app is nothing more than a shortcut to open the system miracast menu. When the menu opens, it'll automatically start connecting. Well, I tested this on my Samsung device, I don't guarantee it will fulfill your needs for non-Samsung devices.
- Posted for the sake of anybody following Google search links. Which I did, and found a dead end (although I have a solution)

I've searched forums and the market.
Im looking for an app that will allow me to specify an application to launch on startup.
So, boot the phone, home screen arrives, app launches (in this case Browser).
If no app is available id be happy with a script or something as my device is rooted. just need a means of auto-opening.
Suggestions?
Many thanks!
Anyone? =/
Tasker will do it, ull find it ob the market, its not free but on the devs homepage u can download a 7 days trial

Hi Guys,
Is there any application available through which we can track particular android device on Map.
Say there are two users A and B (using "X" application) such that A and B can locate each other on google map.
EDIT: I got one app GPS Tracking, still testing..its not compatible with my Sony Tab
google maps includes latitude. They can use that application.
Cerberus?

Try Glympse, you can share your location in real time with your friends, I think this is what you need.

Check out glympse.com, you can setup how long you share and it can be shared with any one with a SMS or email address.
Do you mean record a path automatically just on your phone? Then use My Tracks, works pretty good.

What if I don't need a periodical updates.
I'd like just if someone wants to see my actual location, he opens the app, selects me and his app will send a ping to my phone which will once update my location and send it back to my friend, who will see my current location on the map. So that everything runs on the background without me even knowing.
I've been looking for such app for some time now, but without success.
Do anyone knows how to do that? Is there some app or whatever?
Thanks for ideas.
With Cerberus you can set it up so that 3 friends can send you an sms and get your location.
I don't see a thread for this yet. This app is similar to tasker in that you can create actions and triggers based on other actions and triggers. It integrates with many web services. Check out their site for more info: https://ifttt.com

Now on to my question - has anyone figured out how to trigger recipes based on other recipes? For example, i have a recipe to upload any image i take to a google drive folder, but i only want that recipe enabled while i'm on Wifi.
Hi, good thing you started the thread.
I installed the app only for one thing, to turn on my wi-fi and sync every week day at 7 o'clock.
Somehow this app can't control device settings based on time.
I find it pretty useless..
If anyone figured it out, please let me know.
Thanks.
Battery drain due to bam_dmux_wakelock. Restrict background data hopefully solves this.

Why do I have to create an account to use it?
Uninstalled.

If you go into IFTTT Settings > Sync Options you will see an option to use Cellular data or not. If you turn the option off, it will only work via WiFi.
For a more sophisticated solution, I would use Tasker in conjunction with IFTTT.
Today I've been playing with the new modes in lollipop and realised that priority is basically the old silent. With that in mind I went to set it up for during the night and for when at work. Problem is you can only choose one start and one end time so I'd have to pick either overnight or work rather than both. A first world problem I know but I've gotten used to automating my phone (cheers llama)
Does anyone know of a locale plugin that could switch between these settings for use with llama or tasker? This would make it far more flexible! A Google search found nothing
I know an app that you can use to do this. It' Atooma. But I'm not sure that it's working on Android lollipop. You can try it, it's free and you can find it on google play store.

Hi, it looks like Atooma is an app similar to both llama & tasker. I'm not after a new automation app but rather a plugin to toggle new settings found in lollipop that can be used with llama. Thanks for the response though.
I want it too!
Seen mention of this app on other threads but have searched the Samsung Galaxy Gear store and the Google Play store and there's no mention of it. Can someone confirm how/where I can get it,or recommend another web browser app that works with the S3?
It's definitely there (unless it's market dependent )

OK found it at last. It's very tricky to use as entering text using the watch is hard work. Also not very intuitive. Do you know if there are any instructions for how to use it?
It's more of a gimmick or something to show off than a serious web browser, so yes it's not easy to type or use.
Not sure why you need instructions, all the navigation buttons are on the edges of the screen. The rest is exactly the same as any other browser.
