An I have an old sim I used before I got this phone in my HTC desire 510 should I take that sim out an activate that sim an see if that works? Cause like after 10-15 mins my service completely cuts off an says invalid sim

I'm Running Leedroid_HD_v3.2.1_GB with Kernel 2.6.35.13.
Today I went to look at my phone and it was off, and had to do a battery pull to get it to reboot. When it came up i got a sim error "Register Sim Card--This HTC account is registered with another sim card press ok...ETC" Has anyone else seen this or know what to do? Everything seems to work normally still make calls and all, it just has a HTC icon in the notification bar. Thanks
So out of nowhere today, i awaken my phone and I see an error "SIM card removed, reboot phone" I reboot the phone and now I have no signal and a SIM card symbol in the notification bar. I didnt remove the SIM so I dont know what happened or how to fix it. Anyone know how to fix this?
EDIT*** Nevermind. I removed the sim, then put it back and that solved the problem. Probably should have tried that before posting lol
happened to me a week ago. I was puzzled. I removed the sim and battery at the same time like 10 times. So I flashed back to stock and took it in. The guy plugs the phone in (probably checking for root) and then unplugs pulls the sim and battery and turns it back on. All working like nothing happened.
A few key details:
I purchased my device via Google Play.
I'm using a SIM card provided by Sprint.
I'm not rooted. This device is completely stock.
I've tried reseating the SIM card as well as Factory Data Resets.
That said, here's my issue.
Every time I boot my device, even after a Factory Reset, a while after it's been connected to 3G (it also won't connect to LTE unless auto-activation is in progress, that's a whole separate issue), it displays an empty alert box with a SIM card icon at the top. After closing that box, it displays another one that reads some error about my SIM card being locked and that I need to power cycle the device.
I've tried everything and this error is still popping up. I'll be contacting Sprint later today about the issue but I figured I'd come here first to see if anybody knows about this issue.
Pretty frustrating, Sprint sucks, yada yada... the basics. Can anybody help?
Have you tried unlocking it yourself online under your account's page?
There should be a link next to where your device is listed.
"Get my PIN1/PUK1 unlock code" should give you the required codes to unlock it.
Might also be a bad sim card.

Does that Sim card was already activated on another device? Or did they gave you a new one?
There is a similar problem when people try to use a sim card from a current device, that will trigger that same message like yours.

Hello. Sometimes when I turn on the phone and unlock the SIM with my PIN, it just gets stuck in the unlocking SIM message. The phone gets signal, even internet access, and I get notifications, everything runs OK behind, but I can't use the phone because that message is there in the middle of the screen. Not even enabling airplane mode fixes it, I have to reboot. I haven't tried removing the SIM, though. I recently wiped everything > flashed a factory image > flashed cataclysm > flashed franco BUT it already happened before and keeps happening now.
Also, sometimes I see a strange error in the status bar (more often when the SIM problem occurs? dunno). In Spanish (the language the phone is set to) it says:
"El acceso restringido se ha modificado"
Which in English is, more or less:
"The restricted access has been modified"
When I pull down the notifications, it's already gone, and the phone keeps working perfectly
I can't RMA it (it's not officially sold in the canary islands, well, it is via amazon but when they announced that it was too late), so I hope it's a bug. Any ideas?
I think it would be useful to know that it's a real microsim (not a cut-down SIM), a movistar one, and I don't have any other microsims to test or other phones that use microsim. The phone is from the UK.
Hi friends,
Does anyone have any idea which app/process causes the HiddenMenu "Invalid SIM" error? I have disabled the SprintDM app and the SIM Toolkit - any other ideas?
Thanks!
Maybe try the HiddenMenu app? It's in there. Device will prolly not boot after you remove it though, at least it didn't boot for me on my Moto e 2020. It booted though when I only Froze that app. You still will not be able to use another Carrier sim card though even if you freeze the app. Trust me, I tried on my Moto e 2020 before I ended up caving and buying the Carrier unlocked version for twice the price. I'm not sure if you are trying to bypass the carrier restrictions or not but it won't work. I bricked 3 devices trying. I do know the Carrier info is in the CID partition, but again, touching that partition will hard brick your device, which I found out the hard way. Freezing the HiddenMenu app will get rid of the invalid sim message though if that's all you are after
Does anyone know how to fix this issue . I'm using my original sim that came with the phone but it's tells me my sim is invalid. But if I put another carrier such as tmobile or sprint or metro i don't get this problem so not sure what messed up or how to fix but if anyone has any solutions please advise
