Sorry to create useless reply posts here, but just wondering if anyone has come up with solutions to this?

[Q] Questions About Data Usage Settings

Hi, what does the Auto Haptic setting mean under the Data Usage section in Settings? Lastly, I cannot seem to change the data usage cycle on it. Can anyone help?
Did you check the manual?

I did but there is no mention of changing usage cycles there. My billing cut-off is every 21st.
Well? What does "Auto Haptic" mobile data usage mean?

Note 10.1 GT-N8000 terrible battery performance

Galaxy Note 10.1 GT-N8000 (3g + wifi) international version

Since you have a N8000 obvious culprits are sync, wakelocks, and apps trying to poll for a connection.
Go through the settings menu and look at the Data Usage figures, check what is using most of the data. Pay particular attention to apps that you might only use infrequently.
Next step would be to look in battery stats. Download better battery stats (not sure if requires root or not) or equivalent and let it run a cycle to check what is draining the battery.
This next step is probably the most important thing to do with any android phone/tablet. Housekeeping. Go through the device and uninstall any/all apps you never use. Also, periodically go into app settings and clear the cache for apps such as G+, Currents, Pinterest, etc as these a re memory hogs. G+ can in the space of a day eat up 200mb of space just in cache. I reclaimed over a gig of space by clearing the app cache.

well, depends on what apps you freeze,it really help in saving battery in standby time, besides freezing and remove apps,'' greenify'' is nt bad,it help u freeze active apps but once u use ur apps,it unfreeze ur apps again, saving alot of battery.
my phone 's battery only consume 1% though out all night. Of course,u have to root first to get the advantage.ps: (i never use power saving mode, and display always set to automatic)

My phone consumes about 12% overnight (using 1 of 3 power saving modes) which is terrible! I will wait for Cyanogen or other Custom rom , until then i think it is not worth to have root without changing of rom. If you want please give me some advices to increase battery life (without root if it possible)

i don't know other ways to conserve battery without using root,i thk the basic(off wifi,2g,etc) u already know. just keep the background activity to the minimum. don't waste time on task killer or 3rd party battery saver, they are useless and consume more battery(in my experience)
Get the app BetterBatteryStats. Run it for a day, use your phone like you usually would. Next day, look at the stats the app gives you.
Also, read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1827676
I, too, had a mysterious battery drain problem and tried for days to pinpoint the culprit. Turned out to be the sd card. I reformatted the card and the drain was gone.

Best way to save battery drain is to be rooted dude.
Install cpu-no frills (or set cpu) and select maximun spped to 1,2 and minimum speed at 312Mhz in ondemand and cfg.
Choose your network mode at 2G
Brithness at minimum or a half an it's for sure that your phone will be 2 days longer

I have a micro sd card which was formated on another phone and i decide to format it again on my S2plus. And yes, i check again and battery drainage overnight is now about 2-3%! Thanks for the tip

[TIP] To have 24 hours standby with 7+hours screen on time battery backup

Hi guys,
I just want to share my battery experience with fellow op6 users. Actually i had huge drain in couple of hours so then Hayek to discover this tip.
What to do:
Go to settings, battery, and tap on ANDROID SYSTEM.
Then disable background activity so that it should show up "APPS BACKGROUND ACTIVITY IS LIMITED WHEN NOT IN USE" message.
Then also enable battery use optimization for the same ANDROID SYSTEM. So that it should show up "OPTIMIZING BATTERY USE"message.
That's it!
And i had these results with battery back up on os 5.1.5
Attached screenshots also.
Please ignore if you knew this before.
Hit thanks if it helped you or you don't know this point.

Or you can enable the Advanced Battery Optimization (aka Aggressive Doze) and the system will do this to all apps, saving even more battery. That's why some people don't have the setting, because they already have Advanced Battery Optimization enabled. You can then get 48h+ of stand-by, with 5-6h of SOT.

Before i got both enabled parallely. Advanced optimization and this Android system background activity.
But folks even now i can't see Android system thing. I guess this had been disabled in 5.1.6. just after this post i updated to 5.1.6 and now it's not there. I guess who are on 5.1.5 still can have Android system thing.
I miss it ? if my backup is not going to continue same.

no this tips works well even in 5.1.6
Keep in mind that advanced optimization will break certain apps that need to run in the background to function correctly, for example TiBu scheduled backups and Dropbox synchronization. You can exempt those apps in the optimize list.
