Hi guys, just got the new Infuse. I can't get data/3G. Voice works. I went into the APN settings, and there are two apns. One is called ATT Phone and one ATT WAP. I cannot choose between the two, I cannot delete them, I cannot edit them, I cannot add a new APN. Looking at the ATT WAP apn is missing the username and password, and I guess that's why it doesn't work.
I've never encountered an android device where I couldn't modify the apns, so I don't know what to do. Any ideas? Thanks!
What provider are you using?
Look in the market for apn. I forget the name of it, but there are several apn managers in the market that will let you backup and edit your apn some Android phones require two to work it seems. And if memory serves one of them is mostly blank.

I'm using ATT. I played around it some more, and finally it let me save a new APN and I'm able to select it, so now everything works fine...
That was the normal setting for the phone as you described.
It should not have been a need for you to edit anything. My phone had the same settings and worked fine.
I have the same problem. Can you give me an instruction of how to fix it?
I just went to setting>Mobile Networks>Access Point Names
Then i added the new APN that my service provider her in the Dominican Republic gave me.
Have not reset the phone or tried anything yet.
Is this the correct process? WHere have you guys been trying to change it that it will not let you?

Rocky is correct. I was having a similer issue and I have to add a new wntry by going to the Apn and adding a 3rd one like this. The name did not matter as I called mine test and used the same setting that Rocky posted (I got them from youtube shwing how to add it).
Now I have 3 APN and it works correctly.
THANK YOU!!! I am on infused 2.2.3 and everything was working peachy until a few days ago when I could no longer connect to data. I could get phone calls, but no data. I tried flashing a new modem, tried a new kernel, and was fixin to restore to stock because I didn't know what else to do until I say Rocky's post with the APN settings. This worked like a charm. Thanks again!!!
I was going to post this the other day but wanted to make sure it worked first. I stumbled onto this post in the SGS2 forums which gives the simplest solution that have given me the best result. The other suggested APN settings I've seen in various threads never worked for me. I wouldn't expect as monumental a jump in bandwidth as he shows, but it seems to be doing well otherwise.

I used them with the Infused v2.2.3 ROM and they worked well. I flashed to GSInfuse 1.1.5 today however to try on there because the last time I flashed this ROM it was bouncing sporadically between 3G and HSPA+ and was hoping it would alleviate that issue. So far no luck.
The settings suggested before is one of the default APNs (can also be set by hitting "menu/reset to default" on the APN settings screen), so may be what you wanna go with if it works for you. Another option I found that has worked for several people is along with the default settings specified previously including the following settings as well:
User name: [email protected]
Password: CINGULAR1
It seems to definitely be a "results may vary" kindof thing.

I actually tried that myself and had MMS issues, but I think I have a working hybrid of the two. I have been getting decent speeds and MMS works but I have been getting erratic results and need to test more.
Edit: Ok so dont judge me on this if it doesn't do anything for you but the data seems convincing to me for the moment. I tweaked a few things that have been posted previously and one thing in particular seems to have changed things for me. I removed the http:// from the MMSC server address and dropped the specified MMSC Proxy. I honestly don't know why it would have altered the routing so drastically and I do not have a traceroute to show if it maps differently this way but the attached shows the results I'm getting and for some reason adding the http:// and the specified MMS proxy (66.209.11.32) always slows me down noticeably. I cant measure my signal loss (other than on the phone) to see if anything else happens to be interfering when I have the http:// and the proxy address in place (cloud bounce reflectivity, solar flares, increase usage on the high tension lines between me and the tower) but these results are what I get every time I swap settings. The bottom 3 results on the attached are with http:// and proxy included and the top 4 are without it. Phone was sitting on my desk in the same place for all tests with the only changes (I could control anyway) being the APN setting. You'll see my ping times are almost identical so my routing couldn't have changed very drastically, but the numbers mean something is different.

im running ics miui and under APN Type it just opens a field to type into like a text. when i reset settings to default it sets this to *...just a star. i see everyone has this internet + mms but i dont get any options. this is causing my calls to be dropped drastically and my data to cut in and out.

I havent tried it but i posted a possible solution in the miui thread...my apn settings disappeared after i flashed pikachus thunderbolt but reappeared after a restart....i dont think that your problem is that easy tho?
Also when you finally figure it out, i read in the Thunderbolt thread that changing APN from "wap.cingular" to "phone" will increase data speeds....according to linuxbozo

yea the "phone" thing does give me faster speeds. i still get cut out a lot though i love how tech support doesnt know sh*t lol. its been happening to me on all roms.
Guys, one thing to note is that CM7 (and in turn MIUI), don't like multiple APNs. AT&T runs their ROMs with two different APNs, keeping the data APN separate. This is fine on any ROM based on AT&T's releases, however, if you try to use two on CM7, you'll likely run into issues. The best thing to do is disable the "phone" APN and only use the "wap.cingular" APN. If you have both on your phone, you can do this by adding "default" to the list of APN types for the "wap.cingular" APN (or you should be able to entirely delete, just make sure to add default to "wap.cingular").
If you do run an AT&T based ROM, I highly suggest you do use both with "wap.cingular" for mms and supl APN types, and "phone" for default. This is the absolute only "trick" you can do to make the phone's data a little faster (since build.prop changes don't do anything).

It's not "internet + mms", you specifically type in "internet,mms". It is just a text field. You have to type in what you want. Actually, "internet + mms" may be a valid setting in that field, but I've always seen it comma separated, so that's what I'd stick to. I'm not sure what valid APN types there are, the ones I know of are mms, supl, internet, and default. default obviously being the catch all for anything not configured in another APN.

ooohh thanks very much buddy. my issue was when i typed that with the plus sign i would loose data completely. actually everything except default and * cause me to loose my data. i am running miui and i did notice that the 2 apns make the phone go ape****. i kinda setup my own through a lot of research and googling and i came up with this which is making it go flawlessly except for the speed its not as fast as it can be. my setup is:

See, I thought I remembered one of them needing the username and password, however, I don't have one in my phone and it seems to work just fine. *shrug* Whatever works I suppose! But yeah, on MIUI just stick to single APN. I would assume not setting the APN Type would cause it to automatically default to everything using that APN (if it's the only one).
im one of the infuse owners and i noticed something with the signal issue ive been having for a very long time. data fix didnt work for me nothing seemed to work for me. the best results i get is with KI3 modem. also when i try to set "network type selection" to 3G only sometimes it automatically resets to 3G preffered which is what gives me the issues. but the thing i noticed is i have these severe issues of service cutting in and out when i am on umts. when i force my phone on hsdpa my download speeds almost triple my calls r beautifully clear no cutting in and out. any thought on this? is there a way i can have my phone on hsdpa only? and default the setting to 3G only in network settings? thanks in advance for any input i would really like to solve this

Are you using the recommended radio for the rom? Have you tried the latest OTA radio? It's what I use w/ great results. Have you gotten better speeds at some point? Have you called ATT to see if there's a tower issue in your area? This is more common than you'd think.
Yes, this is the recommended radio for this ROM. I haven't checked to see if there is a later radio or not.

It looks like you are in need of a 2nd APN. Here is an APN config that has been known to greatly increase speeds in many markets (as posted in my APN reconfig thread).
Your first APN looks fine. You left off the "password" parameter (directly below the username), but I'm assuming you've got asterisks in your password field, which means it is set properly. So all you need to do is add a second one.
Press Menu button --> settings --> wireless and networks --> mobile networks --> Access Point Names. Press Menu button, then "New APN"
Put in these settings. Be careful and don't mistype anything - everything is case sensitive
Name: MediaNet2
APN: Phone
MMS protocol: WAP 2.0
MCC: xxx (Don't change this number!!! It should be set for your market automatically)
MNC: xxx (Don't change this number!!! It should be set for your market automatically)
APN type: default,admin
APN protocol (if applicable): IPv4

Once you have the above settings entered, press menu and save. You are now back at the APN selection screen. Now we need to select the new APN you just created - press on the little round button on the right side of the MediaNet2 APN. Your phone's data connection will drop for a few seconds as it switches to the new APN. If your phone won't stay stuck on the new APN, let me know and I've got a fix for that too.
Now run some speed tests. Don't judge too quick; sometimes you have to run multiple tests to multiple locations at different times of day. You should see significant improvement. If not, then your market doesn't need the 2nd APN. But it's worth a shot; this fix works for many. The root of the issue (and the reason we added this second APN) is because most almost all custom ROMs don't contain the same APN config as the stock ROM.
I added the 2nd apn, speeds are now consistently 1.2m down, 300k up.
I also sometimes get network error with the new apn.

Hmm, that is still no good. What were your speeds on the stock ROM?
On a previous version of LeeDroid, I've gotten much higher speeds. That was however in a different part of town.
Try my thread in my signature.
Now it's markedly worse. Only getting 800k down, 500k up on multiple tests. It's also much more "spikey" in terms of throughput. (lots of peaks and valleys with the speed, instead of a nice consistent level).

Keep in mind the AT&T network in your area may be to blame. I've never seen consistently high speeds.

Nightly 96 and the latest OTA radio. I'll provide links this evening, I'm on lunch now.
I've heard many success stories with using the ota (06.06.03 iirc) in Dallas.
I flashed the newest HTC radio and got better connectivity, but overall speed performance is a lot better on the ota radio.
The Dev forum has a radio thread on the first or second page with the rils as well.

Best mod is to call att and ***** at them for inconsistent speeds. The network is 90% of the problem. Radios, rils, all that ain't gonna do that much.
If I didn't know any better I would think they did, depending on the time of day I test at my house. Sometimes I get 5000 up, 3000 down. A few hours earlier or later it will struggle to hit 600 up, 300 down. If I flashed a new rom in between these times, I'd be thinking - hey this new rom sucks. Until the next day when the same thing happens.

OK gang, I think I got it, here was my solution.
Firstly, I wasn't sold on my current ROM. I was open to trying another. Since someone else in DFW was running a CM7 Daily with good results, that's the route I went.
1. Switched to CM7 daily (rev99)
2. Updated the APNs as the "Procedure for AOSP based ROMs (CM7)" section states in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1042553
3. Loaded the matched AT&T OTA Update - Radio: 12.39a.60.19x_26.06.06.30_M Radio and RIL from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1106324
4. Loaded the LordMod Kernel from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1020637
5. Modified my build.prop so that:

If one monitors the condition of the network with an app like open signal this becomes plain. In East Portland I'm between 2 and 6Mbps down with a high of 7.8 ( I can consistently hit >7 off a specific tower between 5-5:15am) and 100kbps-2Mbps up. RSSI's for specific towers vary wildly.
This is courtesy of XDA member Bajanman's thread on the AT&T Note 2 forum. Let's test these APN's out on the S4 and see what happens. Changing the APN is also a way to become unthrottled if you still have unlimited data from AT&T.
This is a guide for changing your apn for throttling issues or trying to get a better signal.
Here's a list of the ATT APN list that I put together. I have tested these some work with everything DATA,LTE,MMS,VOICE, ETC. And some of them were request from other members here. So I just posted what was asked for into one location. If they work for you keep them if not, just delete and keep the ones you'll b using. NEVER DELETE THE STOCK APN JUST IN CASE!
If I run across any others I sure to add them here.
If anyone has any that I missed let me know and I'll add them to the list...
#1.Go into setting, then more setting, mobile networks, then pick Access point Names.

Some additional info for ppl who are curious: AT&T has different plans for different devices.
So for example, there is a 3GB 3G smartphone plan, a 3GB 4G (HSPA+) plan, and a 3GB 4G (LTE) plan.
The pta APN is only accessible on LTE plans.
The phone APN is accessible on HSPA+ plans and possibly 3G plans
The wap APN is accessible on *most* plans
The broadband APN is active on tablet plans, and plans with hotspot/tethering (Mobile Share, 4GB DataPro/5GB DataPro)
Used "AT&T Test 5" and it definitely made my speed faster and lowerd my ping. Recommend big time.

the wap.cingular APN is an expired APN that is no longer utilized for data connectivity except on older phones that are only 3G capable. Though it may work, its never recommended.
PTA was what was used when LTE was first rolling out for AT&T, this is the APN that comes stock on some of the first LTE devices that came out 1+ years ago (skyrocket, SGS3, Note1, HTC Vivid, etc).
phone is the APN that is currently applied today, this is now what all data plans apply regardless of the phone (LTE or not), and it can be utilized for any connectivity. By default, this will choose the highest available connectivity the device can use, IE: LTE devices will get LTE, standard 4G devices will get H+, etc.
broadband, though functional, is as listed above, utilized primarily for tablets, and phones that can tether. The reason it kicks back to the original APN when you try to use it, is because the phone reaches out to AT&T, sees that you don't have the 4/5 GB plan (or mobile Share), and tells your phone you can't tether without it. (however, when a phone is rooted and running custom ROMs, it ignores this check and utilizes whatever APN is active when you try to turn on tethering)
Generally speaking, I'd strongly recommend using the "phone" APN, or "PTA" APN (whichever works best for you) for your phone.

Nope.
Unfortunately, there is no APN that FORCES H+ in LTE coverage area.
There are some roundabout ways to have it done that I've seen, like tampering with the network modes and such on the phone, but there isn't any AT&T way to do it. (not on android phones)
You should probably wait for like, Cyanogenmod or something to come out that enables LTE disable functionality.

the reason why test 5 worked better for you is because you set it to port 8080. the default att phone apn port is 80 but for some people port 8080 works better. the default att phone apn also has hipri in its apn type. also some people get better speeds when they specifically set apn authentication to none.

I think "pta" also had something to do with it though. My mom's GS2 (Skyrocket) was getting faster LTE speeds than my S4 and she was using "pta" instead of "phone" like mine was using. Either way I'm happy

but you can forced the phone on wcdma only using *#*#4636*#*# settings.
and even that didnt work for me. i had really slow speed on hspa when they throtled my phone. but I found out when i put my sim to a different phone and i still got my lte. it seems that att only throttles the phone based on the imei number that registered to the network.

If dodging the throttling is what your goal is, then just get on your myATT app and change your plan to the non visual voicemail version and back and it will be fine again. This resets your data usage back to zero, but it may cause pro-rated charges on your bill.

Having said this - I don't know if anyone else has experienced this - but I typically only get LTE speeds in my house at around 6500 MBS - much slower than what I get at work (28000 mbs) or even as much as 45000 MBS in some areas around town - speeds at my house have always been slow on every phone I have owned.
Since I got my S4 - I am typically getting speeds around 10000 MBS and soemtimes up to 15000 MBS - much faster than what I ever got on my NOTE 2 or the S3 I owned before I bought the note.

I'm not sure if this is the info you are looking for with enabling an HSPA only mode but if you go to testing mode (on dialer hit *#*#4636#*#*) click on Device info, change the setting from LTE/GSM auto (PRL) to GSM auto (PRL). After this you should notice your LTE change to just 4G. Hope this helps

Will not work. AT&T modems are RAT locked. If you do this, it won't stick. Try it out yourself.
However, taking the SIM card out and then selecting the option and then rebooting will work, but its a pain as you physically have to remove the battery too.

Could someone try this out and see if it works?
1) With phone on, take off back cover and press your SIM card so it releases from the spring. It won't come all the way out as it's blocked by the battery. This seems fine - I didn't bother trying to force it out as I didn't want to break anything...
2) Once you see the message that the SIM card is removed, go to the dialer and dial *#2263#
3) You should see a menu with band selections. The current setting is "Automatic". If you switch to "GSM All", you will be EDGE (2G). If you switch to "WCDMA All", you will be on HSPA+ (3G, though AT&T and others call it 4G).
4) Press the SIM card back into place until it clicks. For whatever reason the phone will not recognize it until you reboot. Upon reboot you should see your new setting in effect.

Actually, RAT locked or not this DOES work. I have been running at H+/nonLTE with no hiccups. I know the 2263 method doesnt work like it did on the Note2, though.

I can CONFIRM this does in fact work. I am shocked. The modem isn't RAT locked. I am to force EDGE, H+ only or all 3!!! Glad AT&T changed this. This wasn't possible on any other recent AT&T Samsung device.

Im using AT&T 5, i did notice a slight increase. I will be working near ATT antennas later today and see if I get better speeds.
I have given my IMEI to AT&T and the 'LTE' symbol appears correctly.
Speed test reports regularly 4-8 Mbs when 'H' is showing. But when 'LTE' shows, I can't get results above 1-2 Mbs. Anything under 3 is LTE, over is H:

You did 3 LTE speed tests within 3 minutes then waited another 2 hours and compared it to one done on HSPA. Not sure what the busy hours are on the eNB's around you but generally we would do the tests at the same time of day. Have you tried doing the speed test at a different location as well? I'd go at least 4KM away from your current location to make sure you are on a different eNB to verify it's the UE or that particular eNB which is limiting TPUT.
I went further away and the speed rose to 13 Mbs which was a relief.
Still disappointing that, at any time of day, in my area LTE is slower than H on AT&T.

I'll also say, make sure you check the server that the Speedtest.net app picks... For some reason, lately I've found it to be a little wonky... I (and some friends) have been getting hit with servers that are half way across the country. Eg; I live in WV, and it's given me servers in NY, WA, FL, and a few others, all while inside either my home or a friends house in town.

Perhaps the eNB has some limitations on the backhaul..
If I were to deploy a network to compete with VZW, I would quickly deploy LTE coverage (i.e. you see LTE show up on your status bar all over town) but then take my time and throw less $$ on capacity and optimization. But that's me.
I am also getting weird results with LTE on AT&T. I have the same APN settings as OP. I have not had LTE before, so they had to change my old 2 GB Galaxy S 2 data plan to some other 2 GB LTE-enabled plan.
All the results, except for the top (which was run w/ forced 3G) are on LTE. All the tests occurred indoors, with a few consecutive ones in the middle conducted outdoors.
Why is the upload faster than the download!?!?!?

New Nexus 5 here -
On a Net10 SIM using AT&T and APN set correctly (tfdata) - LTE appears in the Nexus status bar - but, faster speeds with HSPA+ (on download), although ping is a bit better with LTE.
This is in Honolulu.
Speedtest.net selects Florida as default "closest server" when on LTE, and Oklahoma when on 3G; the closest I can actually change to on LTE is Texas. So, with Texas selected - LTE gives me 2.34mbps down, 5.68up and 170 ping; 3G HSPA+ gives me 5.71 down, 1.13up with 204ms ping.
Definitely not impressive for LTE.
Have tried 4x over several hours.
don't think signal strength is the issue as getting -84dbm/56asu on LTE.
although the 3G signal is even stronger at -67dbm/24asu.

I've had stellar results for every test of LTE with my 5 on AT&T

I belive its something to do with the speed test app itself. I have AT&T, Verizon and Tmobile.
Before I use to get 42-50 on AT&T on the Gs4 and iphone 5. Same with Verizon and Tmobile.
Since the last update to the app Im getting 2-3mbs down and 5 up on all my phones across all networks. My iphone 5s is on Verizon and is having the same problem..
But I know the speed test is wrong because the speed in which I download apps is very fast and web browser is at LTE speeds.
I disagree. When it shows 1 Mbps LTE, downloading a huge app from the Play Store crawls along. For me, it's not the Speed test app.

I thinks its fair and logical based on mountains of evidence across the forums that there isn't an issue with LTE on this device with AT&T. If your seeing slow speeds its just the network being slow or the location your speedtest app is connected to is slow. Lots and lots of people are on this phone with AT&T without issue.
I'll admit that my results with SpeedTest are inconsistent, and mostly based on what server is used for testing. When I am offered a local server (Hartford, Boston or NYC), I get relatively high scores on both AT&T and T-Mobile. When I am offered servers a long distance away (say, Overland Park KS), my scores are much lower... even from the same tower at the same time.
I feel like my LTE is much slower than on my S4 in the same areas. Also gave ATT my SIM and IMEI.

It could also just be a messed up tower. That's not, necessarily, indicative of overall LTE speed.
I had slow or no connection on the pre programmed settings, I changed the APN from phone to pta and that fixed my issue.

at home, my N5 LTE is just a little bit faster DL than HSPA+. At work, it flies. Might be the equipment in your neck of the woods?

Exactly what yours are, except no APN 3.
I found out the issue. I had installed AdBlocker Plus (ABP). This app apparently queries all internet requests through their own servers. They were blocking MMS. I happened upon a post on Reddit that had the same issue and that's how they solved it.
I'm now using AdAway.

HOLY CRAP. THANK YOU FOR THIS. I was going nuts trying to figure this out.
On CyanogenMod I use the default. I had a S4 before I had my Nexus5 so I didn't touch my plan, just took my SIM out and threw it in the Nexus 5.
APN that works for me perfectly fine on LTE and HSPA+ and HSPA is same as "ATT Phone" listed above. Thats on a regular AT&T Family Plan.

I did the same thing, although I've been hearing that cell reception is better with the Nexus 5 than the S4, so I'm wondering if there's anything I need to do aside from just putting the different SIM card in my phone...it works well but I do get call drops I wasn't getting with the S4, it's acting up unlike the S4 - even though I hear it has far better reception.
Do I NEED to have them provision my phone?

No. You hear horror stories of when people call and try to provision the Nexus 5 with AT&T. The Nexus 5 isn't in this provisioning database, as it's a "unsupported" phone they don't tell (They won't touch anything with a unlockable bootloader). Because of this many times people get provisioned for a 3G phone as their generic phone provision doesn't support LTE or something along those lines.It all depends on who does the provisioning. Some people you talk to will set it up correctly, others will not. I've heard stories of people having to give them IMEI's of other supported LTE phones to regain LTE access after such issues.
If it works, don't touch it, and don't let AT&T know you have the Nexus 5 as long as you don't have to.
As for reception on AT&T. I really don't notice a difference between my S4 and the Nexus 5. A month before I got rid of my S4 I got a drop in service, as a LTE tower popped up in range, however I only get 1 bar of service from it, and both my S4 and Nexus 5 tries to connect to that, where as I have a full 4 or 5 bars service on a HSPA+ (3G) tower that is closer. I have to manually switch network mode to 3G only sometimes while home in order to guarantee I get calls.
To get adblockplus to work with AT&T MMS change the MMS port to 8080 from 80.

I'm grateful for your thorough reply. On my AT&T account online, it shows up as "no image" and I think on one page says Nexus 5. I never called anyone. I only popped in the SIM card.
Phenomenal insight regarding the low signal from the new LTE tower. Here is a question:
Is there an existing mod (or a best way to make a services mod) for a rooted Nexus 5 that will essentially switch down from LTE based on an algorithm determining signal db noise db etc. so that it kicks down when the signal is too low and does a query of the higher bands while kicked down at efficient intervals? I'm going to post this Q as it's own thread, actually. Been looking, can't find anything.

Haven't found anything like it yet. However it would be easy to set up. I forgot the app but there is some big app out there that can trigger events with certain conditions. Can't remember the name right now. Example: When see my home wifi connection, turn off bluetooth, and have it switch from LTE to 3G/2G mode. And when it detects say the WiFi at my work, switch from 3G/2G to LTE network type and such. That might be something worth looking into.
Well now. Seems I'm in that boat of trying to get Nexus 5 to work on AT&T.
Originally my Nexus 5 worked right out of the box with the "Phone" APN, which is a APN cable of being used on LTE networks.
This is because I originally had my phone Provisioned / Data Plan setup on a Galaxy S4 I bought from AT&T, and I simply swapped my SIM out to the Nexus.
Now, I just changed jobs, and one of the perks is job pays for my phone and data. (Woohoo!). They are also with AT&T, which makes things somewhat easier. However, now, when the account manager setup my phone, AT&T Business assumibly used the IMEI off my Nexus 5 to setup my phone and provision it on their system. Inadvertently it was set up with a Non-4G Provisioning, so that my phone would not be allowed on LTE networks. Likewise, the old "Phone" APN no longer works, and I have to use "ATT" "wap.cingular" APN to connect to get data on 3G.
I will be going to a AT&T store tonight to try and get this sorted out. Will post back with results. I believe all they need to do is reprovision my phone as LTE cable.
Went to local AT&T store. I was in and out in around 5 minutes.
Walking in, told them how I had working 4G LTE before, and I believe it was just provisioned correctly, and how I know it's a common problem with this phone as the Nexus 5 isn't in their system. They copied down my IMEI, shut my phone down, and reprovisioned my phone as a LTE capable device. Turned it back on, BAM LTE. ATT Phone APN did not work, the one I used before. However ATT LTE APN that uses pta in it's setting did work. Perfect! All set and done. Surprised as how easy it was.

Sorry to go off topic here, but I have an S4 right now and have been thinking about switching to a Nexus 5.
How do you guys like your Nexus compared to the S4? How does the battery life compare?
My two main fears is the camera quality and battery life will be worse on the Nexus.

I will never go back to Samsung. Their AOSP support is horrible, I can't stand TouchWiz, and the camera was horrible. I had a iPhone 4S, went to the Galaxy S4 and camera was horrible compared to my 4S. Went to the Nexus 5.. best phone camera I've had so far. Love the HDR+ feature in the camera. Battery life for me was the same. The removable battery on the S4 was nice, I'd just swap batteries out on the go. I got a ZeroLemon case for the Nexus5 though works good.

Read what I had to go through a post or two back. You can get LTE working it's just a matter of trying a different APN like the pta or phone APN's, or having them re-provision your phone properly. A good sales person or tech at a AT&T store can get you sorted out in a few minutes.
Following up these are the APN settings that work with LTE on a AT&T Business account. (ATT LTE, aka ATT PTA). Previousl "ATT Phone" APN worked for me on a personal AT&T account with LTE.
