Hi everyone.
Just noticed a part of the back cover literally just fell apart.
Where would you recommend I get a new one since I do understand the back part is replaceable?
Thanks!!

Hi guys,
I'm hoping that one of you has experience of this and can guide me. I have managed to drop my DS (not for the first time) and damaged the digitizer panel. There are various people on ebay selling replacements, but some mention nothing about the double-sided tape and some state they don't include it. I will be fairly happy to replace the screen myself, but just wonder if I should be using a specific double-sided tape pre-cut, or just use any normal tape and cut it myself?
Cheers
any will do long as its very thin, watch u dnt cover the led hole up tho!
Thanks Dan. Ended up buying a roll off Amazon, so I've got about 5 miles of it left.
save it for next time!
i never understood why they only sell it in football pitch lengths and not like enough to do like 2 phones
Hi!
I've replaced the broken screen of my Z2. My problem is that my back cover keeps getting loose.
I removed old adhesive, and put on a new back cover with new sticker. After a few days it started to get loose in the top. I thoroughly removed all of the sticker using citrus spray, and put on a new sticker, but the same thing happened again.
Should I use some sort of cleaner for removing "grease" to make sure the new sticker will stay in it's place? What do I do?
Thanks in advance!
Hi all!
Got a bit of a problem that's driving me insane!
Not having lick with my Z3's at the min, had one get smashed at the gym and a few weeks after I get my new one, my dad knocks it out of my hands and smashes the rear of the phone...
So, I have bought a new glass rear panel, only I have fitted two of these and they are both literally just fell off in less than a single day.
I have also bought the replacement from 2 different places.
latest one is from replacebase.
From what I can see, its because the actual rim that the glue sticks too on the phone is actually lower than some of the components in the phone itself!
Can anyone help me...
Am I missing something or what? is there suppose to be a separate layer that I may have pulled off when removing my old rear cover.
U need to buy a separate back cover adhesive. Did u buy it?
replacment parts will never be tough like original one.
Save your money and repair it at original sony center, it will cost more, but will last longer.
And be careful with phone. Good luck

Is this what you mean??

I have actually purchased that this time, so hopefully it's this that I needed haha
Got my new back glass and the linked adhesive above, but I'm pretty sure that's just the exact same glue that comes on the glass.
I know for a fact that if I fit this rear glass again, it wont stick for long.
The rim that the glue sticks too is lower than some internals which will just flex the glass up and off the rim.
This is getting annoying now! haha
Did the adhesive work? I bought similar ones for the front and back and they are not working... Perhaps I'm going to buy 3M double sided tape

Hi, a week ago i bought an oneplus one middle frame for my oneplus one. Today the screen arrived and i started to repair my broken oneplus, when i was in the reassembly process I found out that the new middle frame came without some black stickers so i proceeded to take them out from my broken frame, this is what I'm talking about:
I think this must be something relationed with the anntenna of the phone, am I correct? Where can i get a replacement for these stickers?
Thank you in advance

Hey, what did you end up doing with the stickers? I'm replacing mine this weekend. I'm probably not going to worry about the black stickers. I'm wondering what you decided to do. thanks!
So I got a pretty solid deal on a 7 Pro with shattered back glass. I was just gonna leave a case on it, but it started flaking away. I ordered new back glass on eBay and started heating it up to get the camera lens cover and flash LED to stick a bit better. While I was at it, I started peeling that laminate back.
Wound up heating the entire back glass up and slowly peeling away the laminate. I love the way it looks, but I'm not sure how to avoid where the adhesive sort of shifted and cratered.
Those that have done this, what have you done to keep the adhesive in line? I heated it up and pushed the back glass onto it. I'm wondering if I should have put the back glass on, the heated it up.
I'm not against pulling the back glass and redoing it.
You should check jerryrigeverything on youtube.
Are you reusing the adhesive that was on the glass or new adhesive? I kinda stick with always using new adhesive whenever I used to help repair a few friends' Galaxy phones back in the day when I actually had time to fix phones lol.
I've done a clear back mod for a friend's cousin's 7 Pro but haven't done it on mine, mainly since I like the blue paint job and the extra warranty OnePlus gave you through their Care app is something I want to have as a fallback before I do something like a clear back mod.

I bought a transparent rear cover and it already had adhesive on it. Then i followed a tutorial i saw on witrigs.com and modified the NFC plastics so i could see the camera motor. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BXbhNsmtV8SjVhoAct6VP6W__dwWr9KG/view

I'm not sure how warranty would work because this doesn't have the IMEI on the back anymore, anyway.
And this is fresh adhesive.

Warranty wouldn't work in your case or mine if the phone was opened up either way and for the international/unlocked variants, all the regulatory labels and IMEI are in settings>about phone, which I prefer since it keeps the back clear of anything but just company logos
