You need to request on miui site with your mi account. Follow the guide there to unlock the bootloader after your account is approved.

Hi guys,
Been searching the forums and located some nice information but i would like a full guide step by step tutorial which can help me and others who are in a similar situation.
I dont want to brick my phone as i only got it yesterday but unfortunately has the china ROM. I managed to get google stuff installed but the assistant aint working so best to install the global ROM that has all this stuff already pre-loaded.
Could someone be so kind to provide me with a step to step tutorial on how to fully flash the global rom which i found here: https://www.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-mi-mix-3-miui-10-global-stable-android-pie-download/

P.s, usually i just go and wing it but i dont want to brick / break the phone. I live in ireland so hopefully this global one works out. I enabled the dev option and already have the unlocker app from xiaomi, i have my mi account hooked to the mi unlock status so im just waiting on myself to unlock via the app on my PC from xiaomi. So thats where i am right now.
Pps, i see theres an EU ROM as well as global? Which one is better? Is there much difference?
My Phone is a mi mix 3 running MIUI Version 10.0.12.0(PEECNFH) Stable on Android 9.0

Go back one page and look down.
EU rom is based on chinese rom, other than that there isn't much difference.

Same process as Chinese I would assume. Go to mi unlock website, follow steps, and download software, wait 72 hours and unlock.
Wouldn't advise on buying one with unlocked bootloader

So I got a Chinese version of the RN7 Pro and it obviously has the Chinese ROM on it.
I want to put the global ROM on the phone, is it safe to flash the global Indian ROM or do I need to first unlock bootloader or something similar?

I had the same China Rn7 pro, If you want Global/Indian rom, you must first unlock your bootloader and after that you can safely install global rom to your rn7 pro.
Alright, thanks.
Now the wait begins. But if a mission being on the China ROM and have to use some work around to get certain things done - like import contacts and Google apps etc.

i have tried everything from all tutorials on the web but sadly i cant
i just want mi dialer and recorder
its a mediatek device should i unlock bootloader to flash indonesia rom ? since its official i am not sure i need
would love if someone can shed some light on this
there is no 11T forum for this device yet so im asking here hope its ok

I read that unlocking the bootloader may lead to security limitations such as disabling usage of certain features and/or apps. This is from miuirom.org:

If you have a Global version, model 2201123G, you can re-lock the bootloader with any version of stock rom, except Cn.
Without locking the bootloader the play store will not be certified, that's all.
Could try a Xiaomi Eu rom(call recorder) where everything works with the bootloader unlocked.
