1. Xiaomi.eu rom is based on the China rom so has more features than the global rom.
2. Go to the Play Store and search for an app called Moves. This will track whatever you need.
3. Since you have the global version, you would need to install the global version (if you install Xiaomi.eu rom) to lock the bootloader again.
Hi, I've also bought a Mi Mix 3 global version, from amazon (it will be my first Xiaomi). I should receive it next Thursday. I plan to unlock the bootloader, install TWRP and Magisk. I have found many useful infos in this section, but I'd still like to add a couple more questions:
- My desktop PC has a Ryzen CPU. Do I still need another computer to run Mi Unlock?
- Will I be able to install global OTAs, with TWRP?
- After installing TWRP and Magisk, I should skip formatting data and storage if I don't want to decrypt the phone, is it correct? Are there any advantages and/or drawbacks in running decrypted vs encrypted?
(With my current Nexus 6, which has a SD805, I could feel a small difference, mosty in terms of battery life)
Thank you all for your help.

I have no idea ?
It came with a chinese RN7Pro Box, I did buy it used though, but the person I bought it from doesn't really know about BL unlocking and switching ROMs, and the phone was locked
Which makes me wonder, is it ok if I flash the Chinese variant on an Indian unit (or vice versa) with the option flash all and lock in the mi flash app?

I don't think you could change variant and lock the bootloader but you can flash global on chinese or chinese on global and use it as a daily driver, keep in mind though you cant lock bootloader and you have to use a custom recovery. Btw the guy whom you bought was indian or chinese ??

You can flash China ROM on an Indian variant, or Global (Indian) ROM on a Chinese variant only if bootloader is unlocked. Make sure you check the option "Clean all" in Mi Flash Tool.
Never use the option that says "Clean all and lock" because you may brick your device.

I think once you have unlocked the bootloader, you may be able to lock it using either ROM versions. But I would advise against this because, at least in theory, this shouldn't be the case. When it comes to locking bootloaders, you always need to flash the original firmware of that device variant. I suspect they may have used some other tool to manage this, but I can't really say for sure how they did it. I could try to do the same via Mi Flash Tool just for the sake of experimenting, but it's the only device I have, and I can't risk bricking it.

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my Xiaoxin Pad Plus (TB-J607F).
When I bought it in a China store, it had a pseudo Global Rom on it. I then flashed the China Rom and everything worked fine. Also got some OTA update.
Then I got the stupid idea to try another Rom (P11 5G via LMSA) and now I can't get back to the China Rom. I guess something is preventing a downgrade because I did the OTA update.
As I remember it was the ZUI 13.1.???.
But I only have this ROM :TB-J607F_CN_WIFI_USER_Q00010.0_R_ZUI_12.6.142_ST_210801_qpst-001.7z
I would very much like to go back to the China ROM and maybe there is a way.
Thanks for your help.
You must unlock bootloader to flash back to China ROM as Global ROM is much more newer than China ROM. If you want to relock, you need to wait Lenovo release ZUI14 on September.
thanks for your reply.
yes indeed, the bootloader is locked.
I need an unlock file which I can only get from Lenovo. ( please correct me if i am wrong)
I requested this from Lenovo a few days ago but so far no response.

I may have to be patient.

In fact if you are in Global ROM now, you don't need to request for unlock file. Just enable oem unlock in Developer Settings, reboot to bootloader and run
Code:
fastboot flashing unlock
Only Chinese Firmware need unlock file.
Thanks for the explanation
I still have a few questions.
1. can I lock the bootloader again after the China Rom flashed and downloaded the OTA update?
2. with which command I lock the bootloader again?
Thanks in advance

The ZUI-ROM has besides chinese also english.
The important thing is that the ROM is newer than what you have at the moment. The latest is ZUI 14, only then you can flash the ROM when the bootloader is locked. Otherwise you have to unlock the bootloader.

For the moment, no, since the global version has not yet been released.
Afterwards you can but without being able to lock the bootloader, which means that the play store will not be certified and you will have to root the phone and use magisk or a Xiaomi Eu rom.

On some version of rom sometimes the phone restarts on its own, but this is not your case?
it's since 14.0.21?
Can be tried a Weekly by updating (to return after a stable, clean flash required).
Is the phone rooted?
Try the Taiwan global rom with miui message, dialer apps.

It's really surprising because one of the Xiaomi Eu rom devs has a Xiaomi 13, maybe try the last Weekly or there is a HW problem that happened between two roms.
Hello everyone! I've read several of the posts in here to understand the different procedures (newbie here on xiami things). I've got the Peux version, which doesn't have the MIUI14 released yet. From this, I've got questions for everyone here.
For the ROM part
1) Is it worth it to change the region to Global for the updates?
2) Can you tell me about your experience with the XiaoMiTool V2?
3) Is it better to do all steps as stated in the How-to guides?
For the Firmware part
I just checked, and in the firmware, there is already the V14 for Redmi Note 11 Pro/Pro+/Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G/Xiaomi 11i 5G/Hypercharge, India version, which I assume is my phone.
But, if the firmware is V14, will it update everything in my phone but the MIUI? Or if this is a misconception, I think I haven't fully understood the difference between firmware and ROM. (I'm reading from Firmware V14.0.3.0.TKTINXM)
Thank you all for your help to teach this newbie.
2) Can you tell me about your experience with the XiaoMiTool V2
This tool is unofficial, use Xiaomi official tools.
For a precise answer, please indicate the model of your device (my phone/characteristics/model).
Example:2201116SG, 2201116SR, 2201116SC, 2201116PG,21091116C.
Thank you for your answer!
If I get it then, as an unofficial app, is it wholly discouraged?
My phone's model is 2201116SI

I really thought that because of the V14.0.3.0.TKTINXM it was for mine. I think I don't yet get how the firmware work then.
Qualcomm SD695
I do get how to change. My real question is about security, benefits, and updates. I understand that changing ROM region is a risk, so I want to evaluate and advice in order to do so.
This firmware (to simplify: serves to make the connection with the hardware), which is specific to each model is for a Xiaomi 11i / Hypercharge India, code name (pissarro).
The basis of the stock rom is the same, the only differences are:
Themes, GDPR/GDPR for the EEA, call recorder for Indonesian/Taiwan, and some region-specific apps.
You can re-lock the bootloader on all versions except Chinese.
The missing 4g bands on your version will always be missing regardless of the version you install.
The only risk is you.
Thank you so much NOSS8 for your answer! I think I will change to the global version just to get the MIUI14 updates.
Thanks for explaining firmware, and throwing in the 4G bands part (which was a concern too).
Thankks!!!
I know this has already been answered but I wanted to drop a quick tip;
You shouldn't search for firmwares based on market names cause Xiaomi uses similar market names for different devices in different countries. You should instead use device codenames.
The rom you were planning to flash was for "pissarro" and it's a different device entirely.
The device you have is "veux" , the Indian version might be called "peux" but you don't have to think to worry about the codename differences, it's inherently the same device, the only difference is it lacks NFC and Xiaomi has been doing this thing for a long time, releasing variants with slight hardware differences depending on the regional market, they also build the same rom that's flashable on both variants of the devices (nfc/non-nfc model).
You can flash Global Miui 14 whenever they release it for this device, there won't be any problems except that you won't be able to pass the safetynet whether you lock the bootloader or not, you'll have to rely on the safetynetfix Magisk module from Displax to pass the safetynet.
