I hope Android M will come to yours too.
It is really little known about this LRA variant of XT1565. Does it have the Verizon bloatware or is it cleaner?

My carrier is Open Mobile from Puerto Rico, the phone comes completely clean, 0 bloatware whatsoever!
awesome! I wish I could install your XT1564 firmware 5.1.1 on mine, but without the unlocked bootloader I could not do it.
And more screenshots of the Android M installation on XT1565.
First feelings - runs faster/smoother.
Am completing my installation of M on my XT1565 now.
Will see how it works.
For reference am in Colorado.

Having major problems with mine.... So much that u have temporarily stopped using it.... Battery only lasts a few hours, I am not receiving text messages until hours later, and last night I charged for 6 hours (not on turbo charger) and only got to 45 percent
Anyone else having problems? . Going to hard reset when I get home from work

Very disappointed
I completed the update over the weekend to MM and so far I'm very disappointed. Before the update I consistently getting 35-40 hours of battery time, now I'm lucky to get 18-20. I haven't changed my usage or download any new apps so...
OK so a quick update, after a few days now I've been disabling Wi-Fi (which I didn't have to with lollipop), and that has improved battery life.
I'm still concerned that Wi-Fi is the top battery consumer even when disabled for most of the day.
I guess you disabled the always Wi-Fi scanning feature, hidden somewhere I could not find in the beginning myself.
That setting is now listed under the location settings for some stupid reason. Also my Wi-Fi has been crap lately on marshmallow. It drops out at random times.

Yeah I've had the scanning off, but when I look at the battery details Wi-Fi is still using battery.

Hey guys,
I wanted to share my experience with my note 3( from India )
Its amazing phone. After using for about a month, Note 2 seems bulky and FAT
Note 3 looks stylish
Now about Kitkat update. I got it yesterday it was OTA update.
The battery backup has gone amazingly wild.
It used 50% battery overnight with wifi on, BUT now it spends on 20% WOOooooowwwwwww!
And in my normal usage battery went to about 15% till the evening, when after the update it is still about 60% left
I love the KITKAT, Overall Speed seems to have doubled in response.
Apps open in almost half the time.
Thats it.
Share your experience too

Is there anyone that is on EE with the S6 and uses WiFi calling?
I've been using it for almost a week now and I'm finding it hit and miss, the symbol comes and goes and some texts don't send even though I'm apparently connected via WiFi calling....my broadband is stable so I know that's not the cause.
Thanks
There's issues on the 5.0.2 firmware with it, they've apparently released 5.1.1 which fixes this, but no one seems to be able to download it...

Well I've been waiting long enough so a few more days will not make much difference.
Spoke to someone today who said they were doing 10k IMEIs per day, which works out at just over 7 days for the amount of branded EE S6/Edges they have. But again, EE are pretty crap at communication / rolling things out so don't hold me to it.

Got it as well. Excited about the "battery optimization"... Says extra features as well but not sure what they are yet.
I am still waiting for the screen timeout options and notification alert dot on the watch face... too bad it wasn't part of this update...

Almost a double here finally can sleep with it after a hardware work and not worry about waking up to a dead watch
Likewise, seeing double the battery life after the update. I forgot to charge my watch the night before was surprised to see after waking up the next morning that the watch still had close to 40% juice left.
That was a big surpise for me because I remember having just a bit over 50% the last time I checked that evening.

Just want to confirm that I am not missing a previous update. Can someone with the 3g model confirm that we still have not received the larger firmware update with screen time out settings and the yellow notification icon. We seem to have skipped 0KK and received the small 0L3. Thoughts?

android os is always another app which keeps your phone awake, so you could try uninstalling apps until the drain stops
Yepp I have it too. Sprint Galaxy S6 6.0.1... Android OS stay awake= 1hr 15min and using 20% of my battery!
Using MM 3.0 Rc1 XtreStoLite rom. Works awesome with hacker kernel 13.2. ???
For those having battery drain while wifi on.. I suggest-
Wifi Settings>more>keep wifi on during sleep>only while charging/never...
Hope this fixes the problem..

Surely it works, but it shouldn't be an appropiate solution for those as me have this problem. Before MM none had to change this setting to avoid this issue.
I noted after first days from MM XEF and PHE firm the battery consumption was very good, but after some days (or maybe any app setting change) this issue appeared.

I suspect this issue depends on the connected wifi net. I need some more days to check, but I can see as battery consuption graph slope is greater on the period I am on my wifi work than on the hotel wifi where I am standing these days... has anyone experimented this?

I have been saying that same thing for a long time.
If you are going to be snarky about an existing thread, you could at least post a link to it! This one came up on the search when I started to post a new topic suggesting it was similar to my question.
Here's the question I was going to post, but will post it here instead so there is "not open 100 same threads over and over". (since there was no link to the original post that was about this update and it didn't show up on the suggestions)
I received the first Oreo update on 03-Jan-18: Oreo 8.0.0, Security Patch level December 1, 2017
My understanding is that Xiaomi has started rolling out the second Oreo update that fixes a number of problems in the first release, but I have yet to get it. We own two A1's, and my wife's A1 has yet to get either Oreo update and mine has not received a January security patch or the latest Oreo update.
I'm just wondering if any of you who got the original Oreo update has received the latest one?

EDIT: Right after I posted this, it arrived on my phone! Now I just have to decide if I really want to apply it. With all the issues reported, I am not sure. The first update seems to work well for me: no camera lag to speak of (1 sec), notifications work properly as far as I can tell, etc. The only downside is a 'quieter' audio output, so not sure about rolling the dice and applying the upgrade. Will wait a few days to see what others experience.
EDIT 2:
I went ahead and did the update. Sound seems to have changed again. I went into my music app and changed the EQ to Flat and the sound was much better. I did not hear any hissing, even with classical music, but old ears may be the issue there. I don't use BT unless needed, so cannot address that issue. So far, notifications and icons all seem to work as they should. Camera app is unchanged at ~1 second from press of camera icon to ready. Fingerprint reader seems to have gotten faster, though it was no slouch (compared to my iPad) before. So far, battery usage is what I consider normal, but I don't use the phone for a lot of high drain things like watching videos or playing games. My battery easily lasts 2 to 3 days and is what I consider normal. If this changes with the new update, I will update this post.
