Today i was using the phone and phone suddenly switch off. I tried to turn it on but it shuts itself down at "Honor" boot screen animation.
Tried to clean cache and wipe data and restore , as i have cwm installed on my device.
Then I tried to attach charger and start it and it started but it again gets switch off when i detach charger from device. My device shows 100% batter charged.
Any solutions please...
P.S. : From last five to six days when i tried to see battery usage it was showing " Battery usage data not available"
It`s a battery problem. I had same problem and after battery replace now is all ok. Date of made this old battery was September 2014 (now i have battery from July 2015).

I have been using Samsung Galaxy Grand (I9082) since over a year and now the phone switches off randomly (generally at 28% of battery remaining) and when i try to restart manually, it does not starts (and battery drops to 1 % ) until i plug in charger and within 2 minutes battery shows more than 30% charged . I have been charging the mobile from some other nokia charger. The battery graph also shows red lines. Does this indicated the battery problem or phone.
NOTE : I have done cache cleaning with fresh Android install after the problem started in order to trying to fix the problem. Below is the battery graph.
Have you installed any custom firmware?

I installed firmware, because the latest official updates lagged too much. So I went back to the the previous official firmware upgrade.
Help my phone died last night, but since I switched it back on my the battery reading has been off, sometimes it just gets stuck on a particular percent when charging but on restart it gose to the real percent, another problem is that sometimes it just leaps from a particular percent to hundred. I've tried recalibrating but the problem remains.
Note: it charges well when the device is switched off tho plus the upper back panel has been heating up

Clean battery terminals/pins with alcohol.
Kernel?
Find anyone with same BA 900 battery e.g. from Xperia J and check.

Fully charge it to 100%, fully drain it to 0% and then fully charge it again to 100%.

I have recently moved over to use Android full time - I've come from iOS.
My Sony Xperia M2's battery is acting weird.
I checked the health of the battery and it says "good" however..
When I charge my Sony Xperia M2, it doesn't go up until 100% - it will stay at 98%.
I turn it on and off several times and then it says full.
When I downgraded to 4.3 and rooted, this problem didn't arise.
Am I doing something wrong?
I have tried the calibration trick and it's still happening. I'm on the latest KitKat 4.4.4 D2303.
PS: It just said "100% full" so I left it unplugged for 15 minutes, come back and it's on 98%?
Mines always been like this since kk update. My M2 Will easily last all day it rarely goes upto [email protected]% when Charging though I think it's could be the battery used since it reached full charge as don't modern phones stop charging when reaching full capacity to protect the battery and this 2% is the difference between fully charged and unplugging the charger.

I just had my Xperia Z5's battery replaced due to it bloating up. After two weeks, I noticed that the battery indicator isn't working properly.
It would go down from 100% really fast (even during standby - not using the phone) but stay around 30% down for a really long time. No difference in usage. Then it also started restarting on its own even during standby. I would check my phone and it would need me to input my pin saying its required after a restart. Another instance, I was still typing out a text message and it restarted on its own. The battery was around 60% before it restarted but after it turns on again the battery indicator showed that its at 40 something %. I don't think the battery would drain that much just from restarting.
Also, just today, it won't charge properly anymore. It will detect the charger, like it would make the sound when you plug it in but the battery icon won't change to the charging icon and the battery will continue to drain. When turned off, it would show the Sony logo then battery level on the screen but will stay at 0% or whatever % it was left at and will continue draining.
So my phone just died earlier and I just went to plug it in hoping it would still work. The battery was stuck at 0% for the longest time so I just went and left it for a few hours. Coming back to it, I noticed that the LED indicator is green. I pressed the power button and it showed 100%, then I tried turning on the phone. It still turned on, showing 100% on the battery icon and could be used like usual.
I can still use the phone, barely, but this issue is really annoying. I'm not even sure if the next time it drains it would charge again.
So far, I've tried:
using a different cable and charger
doing a factory reset
doing a repair via Xperia Companion
But the issue still persists...
Is there anything else I can do on my end to fix this?
You should replace your battery
Hello.
I'm sorry to hear that your Xperia Z5 got this problem.
Here're some personal experiences:
1.Just replace a battery for it.My Xperia Z5 had same issue last month:Its battery lasts for only 2 or 3 hours, and charges much faster than before. Then I think maybe the battery life loss too much,so I bought a battery from taobao(A Chinese Website),then everything's fine just as when I buy it.
2.According to your description, maybe the sub board(It's responsible for charging and data transmission)is broken too.You can find a used one at ebay.
That's all.I hope this message can help you.And...I'm a Chinese so maybe you can't understand my Chinglish(It means "Chinese English" )...Sorry for that.
I did a thread earlier whereby I installed a replacement battery in my Mate-9 as the original had started to swell. I did it myself.
Today I notice that the recharging of the battery has become inconsistent, although I have managed for 2 months or more already with replacement battery. Sometimes it charges normally from 3-100% in 90 minutes, other times it won't charge at all. Sometimes it charges faster when turned off, other times it won't charge turned off. A full charge runs as normal for me up to 2 days usage. I cannot determine any pattern as to when it will charge or not charge. It seemed to happen after a recent Huawei system update. I'm using build 9.1.0.252 on model MHA-L29.
** Would a factory reset help at all, or is changing the battery the cause of this does anyone think - or maybe something else I could do?
Thanks.
This seems to have been Huawei system related for me. The poor battery recharging happened after a Huawei system update. Now Huawei has updated my system again to 9.1.0.252 (C636E7R1P8patch04) and the recharging procedure is normal again.
