Can Kali Linux for CM12.1 used in COS13? - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I wanted to try out Kali Linux for the first time today but when I checked out their website, it showed a download link only for cm12.1 version, since I don't know much about Kali Linux. What can I do to install it on COS13?

Be a developer and make it.

According to this page which I stumbled upon while reading about NetHunter after a google search, it's new to me, I see that it supports either 12.1 or 13 with the zip. Just gotta read man, that's all.

The big question is will it support COS 13, cause I'm on COS 13 and not CM 13

It's mostly the same. Back up your ROM and give it a go.

Kali net hunter for bacon marshmallow

And net hunter kernel
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24533103863138347
I flashed COS 13 TWRP flashable zip and boot then reboot to twrp again and flash kali net hunter and update and kernel .
I flashed successfully but after that what to do with these applications ? Anybody can explain about net hunter apps and how to use ?

Kali Nethunter on any Android Device

Hi all I am using the Google Pixel 2XL and it is rooted running the Stock ROM. I tried for a while to get Kali Nethunter on my device with no luck until I found this video (which is old, 2017) and made a little change. I downloaded the latest version of kaliNethunter.apk (which I have attached) and placed it in the folder: Nethunter/data/app.
So, once you follow the instructions in the video, right at 2:40 into the video you'll receive instructions to start installing apk files. The first will be the KaliNethunter apk. Instead of installing THE VERSION THAT CAME WITH THE ZIP FILE you need to replace it with the apk I provided here which is the latest version 2019.1. This will most likely save you a major headache as I wasn't able to get terminal to load kali Shell at all until I switched this out.
Hope I've helped!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKRJ85LvGiI thanks to Tech-X for making this video!

Is this Kernel also function for Nethunter files from Magsik?

It's stock thus far, but I am testing out other things.
So I assume F2FS can't work, right?

Consider this pre-June patch build. And no F2FS doesnt work @Stylez Ray. I am too noob to implement it. (For now)
Guys, I apologize but this month's upload will be slightly delayed due to my work and studies having major setbacks. Again, I apologize.

Changes are minimal in this build other than using a better build machine lol
Thank's good job !!!
All works fine magisk v19.3, dax_axon7_v1.6.1.zip
I return on Andisa rom 7.1.2 freeze and lags horrible
This is really awesome, no more random system freezes like in the first official UA builds. Thanks a lot, it really makes this ancient device useful again ?
@KiD3991 hello, maybe you would like to join Unlegacy team as Tegra 3 developer?
Slightly odd request at this stage probably but is there any chance off an unlegacy lollipop build for grouper? with a 3.4 kernel please?
actually strike that the marshmellow build will be just fine
but does anyone know if shared memory is implemented in a chroot I get -
sysctl -w kernel.shmmax=268435456
returns cannot stat /proc/sys/kernel/shmmax: No such file or directory
New build up, sorry I was really unavailable.
I tried fixing a couple of things, see if it helps, do tell me though, mention me and I will show up.

Interesting for the marshmellow build. Does it have to be UL?
For the bottom one you gotta dig the right directory.

Hmm I've kind of slipped off this little project for a while I'm trying to use it with the newer kali builds chroot (requiring the 3.4 kernels I believe) in the hope of having a device with WiFi monitor mode available but I was running in to that shared memory issue with services such as postgresql etc think is was causing me issues with csploit too but as I say not really looked at it in a few weeks now.

OMG SAME! I was trying with the Kali too on my other device. It was kinda confusing no doubt
This rom is working great, thanks. Please can anyone help me with how to install browser on this rom, as the USB is not working.
did u tried to activate the debug mode , in dev settings? if that doesn't work .. you have to switch the drivers by yourself, in windows ( devices manager ) from ADB Bootloader to Storage Device .. for your Nexus 7

Bought ZenFone 6 for lineageos, big mistake?

Hi guys,
I wanted to have a google-free phone, so I browsed the LineageOS download section and selected the zenfone 6, as it has headphone jack, sd card, no front facing camera, and it supported LineageOS 17.1
I bought a zenfone 6, and installed immediatly, keep in mind, last time I did this, I had a LG optimus Dual
Clear tutorial and learned there is a new "slot" system, cool.
Now, the phone runs ok, but I constantly have (multiple times a day) reboots, and it get stuck on the LineageOS logo for at least 40 minutes at a time, then it goes into recovery, and ask me if i want to try again to boot or wipe/restore "factory" default.
If I select try again, it will boot in an instant.
As it is, the phone is not reliable enough to use it, so i don't know what to do:
restore it to stock and sell it? Maybe, but I cannot download a stock image from asus support (blank page), and as far as I can tell there is no tool to "relock" the bootloader from asus, and i would rather not flash a random image found on google drive.
I tought of booting from slot B, but apparently the slot system is used during OTA updates, so I think I just deleted my previous OS by updating to a new lineageOS nigthly release.
Or is there something I'm missing about LineageOS? I remember when there were Stable releases, now I only see nigthly images, what am I not understanding?
I wish I could install debian on this thing.
Thanks everybody.
Bye
I am using havoc os
And even tried a11 bliss os

Hello,
I am preparing myself to install ROM without Google looking for something stable, i do not play any games.
I thought I will go ony with aps from fdroid to make sure that Google is not tracking me.
But since it is possible to make it wit microG I thought it can safe me in case I will miss some app.
But now I try to understand.
Not all mods support microG?
Do I need to do like in this instruction ?
And how can I know if it will work ? Maybe Google update some service and it will go over ?
Thank you
It is so much information ! The installations are not always easy.

Multiboot support for devices with Android 10/11 ROM

I've recently started playing around with my phone's ROM. But mostly, ROMs are hit or miss and I dont really like the part where I have to restore the ROM back again.
MultiROM used to support this, but I recently read somewhere that both multirom and dualboot patcher are deprecated with new changes in Android P/Q. Is that true? If any of you know a link/page where I can get info on installing mulltiple ROMs on my phone, please reply accordingly.
I'm using a OnePlus 5 running on OOS 10.0.1 (rooted) right now

Thanks @jwoegerbauer . I tried the page. But it seems to be looping back and forth into the same page with no download option.

Yes
now we have 2 system partition but still only 1 data partition , i dont think thats possible yet
the idea of multiboot is loop mount partition image files, it works quite well for userdata partition, too. just the effective "partition" size is decreased dramatically

Also if I install the magician's version zip file of nethunter is that going to be able to hack still wifi if itll work okay than ill get it. I'm not really into hacking but I just won't get into some Wifi ware im livin
Kernel I found here https://github.com/cyberknight777/nethunter_kernel_oneplus_sm8150/releases/tag/v1.0
and just used generic or op7pro's nethunter.zip from the site to install on 11.0.2.1
Not a bad kernel sofar as far as functionality too
You can use it for now. I'll update it soon
