Hi all,
I Baught the S6 EDGE PLUS in replacement of my Note 3.
With both I have the Official SView Cover (with the small window).
with my Note 3, the notificaiton led is working while the cover is closed; so I made a small hole to have a consistant notification via the colored led.
:crying: With my S6 EGDE PLUS, The led is not lighting at all while the cover is in place (open or close), so I have no way to know if I have a message or any notification, exept by powering on the screen. This is a big regression!!
Is anybody have the same situation?
How to have an other notification method?? (lightning led, flashing screen, flashing edge???)
Thanks in advance.

Try using a 3rd party Notification LED app like Light Flow. May not work if the Samsung is overriding the LED settings on cover closure.
Not sure how useful it would be, but you can also try apps like Dynamic Notifications as an alternative which would put the AMOLED to good use. I never used it so I'm not sure if it can really replace the notification LED.
Thanks for your reply.
I already tried such apps, as well as the both you propose.
Sadly, it do not solve the situation.
It looks like Samsung shut off the led as soon as the sview is put on.

Too bad. I really like my phones with an LED notifier and I use a non-flip case so it works out well. They definitely should have kept some kind of indicator in an official flip cover though!
I agree.
Finaly à remove my sview cover.
That's crazy to pay for a full features phone, and pay for a case to protect it and loose all the interesting ones.

I have just broken my phone screen, please feel my pain.
Is there a way to over-ride the 'Touch screen disabled' prompt? I've already missed two calls fumbling for buttons.
Regards.

Hi Mostar088,
I am in the UK. I am sure you didn't mean to rub salt into the wound of my 3 month 20 day (when the screen broke) old phone [emoji22] .
I had left the original screen protector on, just as well as this is now holding the screen together.
Choice I have now is to buy a replacement screen, and fit it myself, or stump £150 for someone else to repair. The taredowns I've seen make me think that the Mate 9 is more fiddly than a Nexus 5, which I have replaced a screen on.
My assumption here is Huawei will be the slowest and most expensive option. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
To answer my original question, should anyone else be asking the same, go to Setting > Smart Assistance > Touch-disabled mode.
I didn't think I had set this previously, and this 'feature' only appeared when the screen cracked. The bulk of the screen damage is just under the speaker grill and over the proximity sensor. The damage must now be confusing the sensor.

It might not work because there is no smart cover option whatsoever in settings. At least I have not found any.
Try using some smart cover app from Play Store.
Hi,
I bought a google pixel 3a (xl) for my wife . With a cover case. But I'm a little disappointed : opening the case does not ligth up the screen. Closing it does not power it off ....... that worked on the cheap asus zenfone 2 she had before !
Did I miss something ? is there an option somewhere that I did not find ? Does anyone have a cover that works as I expected (or as with many LG and amsung phones) ?
Or is the functionnality simply not there on those phones ?
