i want to change my mac address but after mac spoofing my device does not connect to wifi
my device is rooted
i have installed busy box
but when i try to change mac adress using any app like mac address ghost , mac address spoofing etc
but when i change the mac address the app says mac address succlesfully changed but does not conect to wifi
but when i change my mac address to orginal it works well but i want to change my mac adress and use wifi
i tried to forget the network and recconect wifi ...still does not work
i tried to connect to other network still does not connect and i tried to connect in other ways but still does not connect
plz help

I've read other thread about changin MAC address via ADB or Terminal Emulator with the command
`busybox ip link set eth0 address nn:nn:nn:nn:nn:nn`
This appears to change it temporarily on my rooted SGS, but after I try and connect to the wifi, it gets switched back to the hardware MAC.
Reason I'm attempting this is because my building wifi only allows me to connect 1 computer. They have the wifi un-locked by restricted to MAC addresses. So I want the ability for my phone and my laptop to have the same MAC addresses, so that I can connect them both (but one at a time) to the wifi. No they will not allow me to add another device, so I need to clone the MAC address....
So with that said, how does one change the mac address in the SGS.

I also tried to use
`ifconfig eth0 hw ether nn:nn:nn:nn:nn` as I would under linux, but to no avail.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S Captivate and I was NOT able to spoof my MAC address either using the above mentioned commands. Any other ideas?
may i suggest a micky mouse?
why not take out the laptop and add the samsung's mac address?? tell them you got a new laptop ect?
its easier to spoof the mac address in a laptop

if you have a Ethernet line in your apt just get a wireless router and disable broadcasting.

Theoretically sound, but practically not applicable. I have many MACs of my friends at work (institution) and I want to use any of the MACs on my android.
It is possible. i have given procedure for LG Optimus One. Same can be used for u'r phone. Just have to locate nvram.txt file. and appen line "macaddr = XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX" Where "XX:XX:X..." is u'r new mac address.

Hi, I am trying to find the MAC address for my BenQ e72 for 1 week, but still couldnt find. I have googled it thousand times but no result. Can anyone help me with finding the MAC address?
MAC address for which interface? You have MAC address for the WLAN - which you can read from the router you are connected to (or WIFI connection properties in WM6). The Bluetooth MAC address should be possible to read from the BT configuration in the device or similar to the WIFI strategy from a device where it connects to - e.g. the Laptop if it has BT.
Why do you need the MAC addresses?

[Q] Ad hoc network connection problems

i managed to find some guides here and downloaded wpa supplicant file, i can see ad hoc networks but i cant connect to them, (*) they have this in front
i get stuck at obtaining the ip address if i manually set ip address then i can connect but it disconnects me as soon as i do get connected, on my laptop it just says waiting for users...
i am running android 2.1
i wonder if it's a windows problem as it doesn't assign the ip obviously?
any help is aprieciated

Mac Address Spoofing : Unable to connect to WIFI after Mac Change

-- I'm using Moto 1Gen device.
-- Rooted the device
-- Changed the mac using an application from playstore
-- After the change, The device is unable to connect to any AP/Wifi
-- I have confirmed the MAC update also via the netcfg command, but android settings -> wifi-> advanced shows old mac address
-- I have revised my router logs and surprise, after update the MAC address, the router is receiving requests with the stock MAC address.

How to use same mac for two devices in wlan

Hello every one. .... I spoofed the adress of the targeted client mac adress in my android device.. And i can able to connect to the mac filtered target router but the connection is not stable my device is constantly disconnecting from routerif the clint with original mac address is present
in case if he discounted from the network i can able to use the network stably without disconnect
I searched google some sites they adviced to use static ip but it also not give effect same problem leads please.. Help with any solution..
