Root and then use any of the root uninstallers to un-install yellow pages. I've done that couple of times without any hiccups, during my journey in and out of Kang VIP roms.
OK, but how is the file name?

If you are looking for the application name for yellow pages, then from what I remember it was "Yellow pages" or something very close, shouldn't be difficult to find if you are search through all your system applications. Use System app remover (ROOT) available in the play store to un-install.
It is very probable that I have uninstalled this app, because in the system applications it's not already. But in the contacts the service is still integrated, it still does show up the Chinese characters. I am on KangVIP ROM. Ist very strange...

That's weird. For me un-installing yellow pages had removed it from my contacts application as well. You might want to go through all your system apps again to see if it's still there hidden somewhere. If that doesn't work then look for a flashable contacts app from another rom, maybe B522, to replace the one on B555a.
Do you have a TWRP backup of B522 or any other MM rom?
yes, i have stock B522 stock tWRP backup...

Try using the application Nandroid Manager from playstore to restore the contacts app from B522 over to your B555a rom. I havent tried this so I dont know if that will work. I was however able to install Huawei ID and Huawei Cloud from B511 backup over to B522 using Nandroid Manager.
before you go that path first look for a falashable contacts app from B522 or any other MM Rom, somewhere on this forum.
thanks for cool app
but i have replaced the Contacts.apk from B522 final and still the same problem :/ Yellow Pages with chinese characters...

That's a powerful app indeed, opens options to do lot of unconventional stuff. I had tried to import the power manager from MM to KK and ended up breaking my phone all together.
For your problem maybe you need un-install your existing contacts app first before importing from B522.

Which means it's not the contacts app you need to fix. It's the yellow pages itself. Whatever you did earlier has not un-installed yellow pages. I am gonna try Kang vip B555a again over the weekend, and I will encounter yellow pages. I'll let you know how it goes.

I installed Kangvip B555a over the weekend. I was able to remove all the Chinese application including yellow pages after installing system uninstaller(root), because the rom comes pre-rooted. The contacts application now has Dialer, Contacts and Favourites, just like B522 had. No trace left of Yellow pages. I followed that up with un-installing Kingroot and replacing it with SuperSU. Replaced the Keyboard with Swype for Huawei. Everything looks perfect now, no Chinese characters left anywhere.
What version of MM are you on? Is it Kangvip B555a or some other?
I'm going to install B555, too. I'll let you know how I fared. I had a B551A

I've made everything as described. Also, tried to wipe everything and install again, like 3 times. When facebook, outlook and one drive app's are installed in the SD card, they don't save the login and password after I reboot, and then I have to login again.
I recently unlocked and rooted my phone, i backed it up using an adb tool that requires no root. Not sure when it stopped working but i remember having a really nice editing feature in the stock gallery app, now it just directs me to the google photos editing feature whenever i press edit. I tried clearing cache data, and even uninstalling the photos app, just resulted in nothing happening when i click on edit please help.

No I don't, sorry, I recalled people having similar issues after uninstalling Google+ but this wouldn't apply to you.
I can confirm..
I had disabled Google+ and then I was experiencing the editing not-working issue.
Now I've enabled Google+ again and everything started working again.
Hey guys, I sharing debloating script for those interested in a higly DEBLOATED LP installation, very slimmed down, battery friendly, faster, with less RAM comsuption etc
It will remove everything that is not important so before proceding be sure to backup full system
RESULT
As said at the top, you'll get a very slimmed down LP FW, battery friendly, very fast, with less RAM comsuption etc
Of course, everything is working great here, I mean all the features I need/use!
you are going to delete more than 160 packages in total with all relevant libs/stuff plus all applications automatically installed by Sony
HOW TO RESTORE SOMETHING
PS. of course I also removed from my FW all the stuff that can be easily downloaded from the Play Store (Gmail, etc)
below you will find the restoring instructions you need to follow to restore any package you may want back
According to what you want to restore, you have to follow two different procedures:
- all the APKs that are inside /system/__Backup/various/etc_custom_apps and /system/__Backup/various/etc_prod_apps are regular APKs that are going to be installed in /data, so you can just run them and then select "install" like a normal APK, easy. You will then see them in Settings > applications > downloaded
- instead, all the things in /system/__Backup/system_app and /system/
__Backup/system_priv-app folders can't be normally installed, but must be restored in the correct /system folders with correct permissions. To do this, see the step-by-step instructions below (in the following example, I am going to restore Chrome app in /system/app and Velvet (Google Search) in /system/priv-app, but of course you can restore how many things as you want at the same time)
Click to collapse
- with a root file manager like ES, go to /system/__Backup/system_app and MOVE the whole "Chrome" folder to /system/app
- with a root file manager like ES, go to /system/__Backup/system_priv-app and MOVE the whole "Velvet" folder to /system/priv-app
- reboot
- done
Click to collapse
PS. don't copy but MOVE things back, or permissions will get messed up and you are likely to end up in a bootloop!
Requirements:
- working recovery
- be on LP already, 5.0.2 or 5.1.1, doesn't matter
DISCLAIMER
If you apply my script again please take care I did a pretty massive debloat as I don't use a lot of stuff (social apps, small apps, many of the sony "addons"/special settings etc!!) and this is a working config for me, but for others some functionalities will be probably missing, so mind what you do before apply them! (but again you can restore anything anytime, if interested just go for it)
Click to collapse
Installation:
1. full nandroid backup to eventually go back to previous any time
2. wipe data, cache and dalvik ***
3. flash debloating script
4. that's all! reboot/enjoy and hit thanks

Hey guys,
I would like to know if anyone here has experience such an issue before. Recently updated my ROM from KangVIP Slim B357 to Nougat B575 Stock. Bootloader is unlocked, Root Access is given and everything seems to be working smoothly.
BUT
Whatsapp keeps disappearing on me! Ive tried installing it from the Play Store and manually via ApkMirror, but no dice. Once I reboot my phone, the icon is gone, both in the app drawer and the home screen.
The issue keeps happening, no matter how many times I keep reinstalling it. Whats interesting though: When I check /Data/App, there is a separate Whatsapp folder being generated with each new install. I have already deleted all folder after manually uninstalling Whatsapp, but a fresh install after reboot still doesnt stick after the following reboot....
So, anyone seen this before? Tried googling, but no luck there either.
Thanks in advance!

Notifications Issues on Nougat Android 7.0
WhatsApp Users
For all of you who have been lamenting the poor notification situation on Nougat, cried over the fact that you only see the most recent message making the whole "notification" thing completely useless, things are looking out.
In version 2.17.24 (grab it from http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/whatsapp-inc/whatsapp/whatsapp-2-17-24-release/ ), WhatsApp has properly implemented notifications on Android 7.0 and 7.1 Nougat devices.
Did I help you? A ''thanks :good:'' would be highly appreciated
thx for the reply, but Im afraid you misunderstood ^^ im not having problems with notifications of whatsapp but the app itself. it completely disappears without a trace whenever i reboot / switch off my phone! and i have already tried the latest 2.17.24 version of the apk, still the same....

trying move whatsapp to system > app or priv-app maybe fixing this problem,,,, but really this is strange issue.
i debrand my L29 to AL10 and to DL00 many times and don't have this problem it's normal if whatsapp not working ! but disappearing really wired
edit
maybe it's hidden are you using any other launcher?
im using nova launcher. ill check again if there are any hidden app options, but i doubt it. better to be safe than sorry though...
on my previous install (kangvip b357, al10, nova launcher) i had whatsapp installed as a system app for notifications to come through. did a backup with titanium backup, but it wouldnt restore system apps on nougat. so i just installed from the play store and then restored the data & settings through TiBu.
unfortunately, that didnt work for whatsapp, so i installed it from playstore and just copied the whatsapp folder from my previous install to restore messages and still have the media.
i have also tried converting it to a system app, both through TiBu and manually, but ive only tried system/app, not priv-app. on the previous install it was in system/app though and worked like a charm.
luckily, i only reboot my phone like once a week, so for the time being, whatsapp works as intended. just that i have to backup, reinstall and restore after every reboot...annoying!

Hey guys, i've made a MIUI Debloat Script for ALL MIUI based ROMs (even Chinese as i included crap apps such as Baidu to debloat exclusive from that ROM). The idea is to keep a simple and clean system. You also can install a Full Hosts File so you can block ads without installing a third party app.
Tested on mi-Globe
To install download the MIUI-Debloat.zip or MIUI-Debloat-Safe.zip or MIUI-Debloat-Full.zip and Hosts.zip
Download:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=296356
Instructions:
HOW TO INSTALL?
Flash the Debloat zip AFTER the first boot and initial setup!!
1 - Download and save the choosen zip file to the folder that you use to flash zips.
2 - Reboot to TWRP recovery.
3 - Make a FULL nanobackup on TWRPs "BACKUP" section (data, system, vendor, boot, all you can/need).
4 - Select the zip you just downloaded and flash it.
5 - If you want, flash the hosts.zip after.
7 - Reboot.
What apps will it exclude from my system?

Hey M8, you need to download notepad++ on Windows and 7-zip.
Save the zip file on Windows and open with 7-zip
There navegate to
META-INF/com/google/android/
and extract the file "updater-script"
Edit it with notepad++ and add the files you wish there
drag and drop the new file on the zip folder that it was and it's ready

Hey M8, how are you doing?
I use Orange Fox (the latest version) too so it isn't the problem.
The only things i can thing are:
If your Orange Fox isn't mounting the system partition or if it's mounting it as Read only. Do you know if it display a error message after you flash the script?
2nd is that most MIUI core things that it debloat wont show for you (except if you seek for them with an app such as link2SD) and the things that show on the launcher, such as the Google assistant/Search app, will still be there if you at a point updated it via playstore.
Why? Well once we update a system app via playstore, it wont re-write the app on the system partition, it will create a new one on the DATA partition.
Try to uninstall it via the Playstore and check if after, the green button appear to Install it, or to Update it.
If it show Install, the script did work as the system app was removed and now you removed the data trace.
If it show Update, then it still is there and i have no idea why.
Guys, i've made a new script called MIUI-Debloat-safe.zip
It is the same, how ever it don't remove some core apps.
Why? Here is where i may need your help, with a older version of the script (one that was exact the same as the "safe" version i actually had better Deep Sleep. Maybe there is such a thing of remove too much, as google gapps check for one and another.
What it wont remove?
/system/app/greenguard
/system/priv-app/GoogleBackupTransport
/system/priv-app/GoogleFeedback
/system/priv-app/GoogleRestore
/system/priv-app/MiRecycle
I do, how ever recomend to use an app such as AppDisable to freeze GreenGuard, as when i had epic Deep Sleep, it was frozen so you guys can test if it is indeed better or not this "older" version of the script.
Maybe i'm wrong as each battery cycle is different, but still i think i own you guys to share this.
If you want to test it, make 3 battery cycles with the normal script and check the deep sleep statistics.
Then reflash the ROM (to re install the apps it debloated) and flash the safe debloat script.
Check the statistics on 3 battery cycles that are close to the ones you did with the first and report to me.
If the "safe" version indeed is better with BB and you frozen the GreenGuard system app, i'll remove the normal version and make a new one that is exactly as the safe one, but without the GreenGuard app to test.

I do, how ever recomend to use an app such as AppDisable to freeze GreenGuard, as when i had epic Deep Sleep, it was frozen so you guys can test if it is indeed better or not this "older" version of the script.

file explorer is needed. yes you can install another from playstore but sometimes its needed. example if i have a theme in sd card. to choose theme in my case using solid explorer it doesnt allow me to select browse file. if file explorer is present then you can select or browse for file.
i have my own debloater too.
