lost 47% while the screen is off, even though the phone was deep sleeping 99% of the time.
this problem started happening after rooting the phone and testing a series of ROMs. (ExtraLite, XtreStoLite, Tyrannus)
I flashed back the stock ROM from sammobile, and that didn't fix it. I tried a lot of different solutions but nothing seems to work.
EDIT: Software info

By process of elimination (try this once): Clean Stock Rom installation using TWRP / Odin:
- Download and install the latest appropriate version of TWRP
- Select Wipe on TWRP menu
- Select Advanced Wipe
- Select Dalvik Cache, Cache, System, Data, Preload, Internal SD card
- Select Wipe
- Format Data and input yes
- (No OS installed? Don't stress!) Do not install SuperSU!
- Power off & wait 10 seconds
- Put phone in Download mode
- Open Odin & connect phone 2 pc with USB cable
- Add the firmware file to AP / PDA & flash away
- Wait till SUCCESS & disconnect
REMEMBER - new firmware takes time settle. If your woes continue after a week, inspect/investigate your battery health at a professional phone care place.
Good luck!

thanks, followed the steps but it didn't fix it :|
source of the problem seems to be coming from either WiFi, Phone or something else that airplane mode disables. because the phone behaves normally when I am on airplane mode.

Dude go take a look at the threads on this battery issue.
Many have problems with the latest firmware update from Samsung.
I've narrowed down the issue, but I have no fix.
Check it out on my profile, see my latest posts. I've posted a possible explanation.

ROM install failed

Hi,
I was trying to install a ROM this was my very first time I never did this before. I started ODin, attached my phone in download mode, provided .tar file in PDA and clicked START. A few command ran in ODin console and then my phone display was gone and nothing further happened in ODin console. I waited for long but no progress. I detached my phone and tried to restart it in order to revert back to my previous ROM. But I am seeing only this screen and I am stuck here:

I was installing ROM from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=843019
I was following these steps provided on another thread:
Instructions - ODIN (long)
- Follow these instructions to the letter. Do not touch any buttons or checkboxes that are not listed below to touch!
- Unzip the attached CF-Root-xxx-vX.X.zip
- (USB) Disconnect your phone from your computer
- Start ODIN
- Click the PDA button, and select CF-Root-xxx-vX.X.tar
- Put your phone in download mode
- (USB) Connect the phone to your computer
- Make sure repartition is NOT checked
- Click the START button
- Wait for the phone to reboot
- Done (if it took you more than 30 seconds, you need practise!)
flash oficcial rom with odin 2.3.3 2.3.4
and then go to recovery mod (home key+power button) then click install zip form sd card and then pick that rom and then do factory reset and wipe cache reset
and then reboot
Hi mv_style,

Can you please let me know whats the problem and how can I fix it?
Thank

[KITKAT ROM][PANTECH SKY VEGA R3 aka IM-A850] English Guide for a Custom ROM

I have translated this guide to English for people who do not understand Vietnamese

TESTED ON PANTECH SKY VEGA R3 aka IM-A850L
Dear All,
Pantech Sky Vega A850L is a great phone at an amazing price but unfortunately most of its help on the internet is in Vietnamese language. I have this phone running on Android 4.2.2 (using this guide you can change your Stock ROM to a Custom International ROM which will remove the 80 characters SMS Limit) and I wanted to update it to Kit Kat (4.4). There are many ROMs present here for this phone. I found a KitKat based Custom ROM with good rating here and thought of trying it.
This video also helped a lot. Though its not in English but from 1 minute and 20 seconds onwards it shows how to install a Custom ROM.
Your phone must be ROOTED. Follow this guide to root Pantech Sky Vega R3 aka IM-850L.

[TUTORIAL/GUIDE/HOW-TO] Full guide on how to flash a custom ROM on your Galaxy S6

~ Quick First Note: If anyone's here from the Telegram Group, I'm Mark y'know.
~ This guide considers you have the latest MM 6.0.1 base
Step 1: Rooting your device
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

Rooting your phone will void your warranty, so if you wanna do this make sure you don't have any warranty for your device, or don't, because today nobody cares about warranty!
1. Go to autoroot.chainfire.eu and download the zeroflte version
2. Put your phone in download mode by: Turning it off, pressing Power + Home + Vol Down keys at the same time
3. If it asks for anything, which it should, press the Vol Up key
4. Make sure you have the drivers installed on your PC, if not, please, download them and install them
5. Plug your phone in your PC, I suggest using the original cable, just so y'know, nothing explodes
6. Download a program called Odin, make sure to download any that is V3+, but I recommend the latest
7. Open Odin, select the AP option on the side, and locate your file, usually called CF-Auto-Root-something.tar.md5
NOTICE! This will restore your recovery to Stock
8. Load the file and click start
9. Don't worry if your device reboots constantly a few times, and takes a little longer to boot, it's normal
10. Check if you have the SuperSU app installed, if yes, you're all good
Step 2: Flashing a custom Recovery
Flashing a custom recovery is the thing that's gonna make it possible to even flash anything
1. Go to http://www.pocketpc.ch/samsung-gala...builded-thehacker911-android-6-0-1-g92xf.html and select wether you have the S6 or the edge
2. Do the same process as with the rooting process, though it will not automatically boot into the recovery, you have to do it yourself, but don't do it yet
Step 3: Unlocking your bootloader
You may be able to root your device and flash a custom recovery, but you aren't gonna be able to flash a custom ROM without unlocking your bootloader
1. Download the arter97 recovery, it's actually a modded TWRP, so it's gonna replace Philz, but you can always reflash Philz, because I heard that TWRP has some mounting issues, and your phone won't boot afterwards
2. Flash it the same way you flashed the CF-AutoRoot package and the Philz package
Step 4: Flashing a custom ROM
Before we flash, it's important that you consider your options. If you like performance, I'd recommend any Lite ROMs like: WanamLite and XtreStoLite. If you like to customize your device, I'd recommend OZOP, Griffin or CarHD. If you're a battery freak, try these: TN (Search on YanDisk) or Alexis.
1. Download the desired zip, also look if there's a second package, they'll often have these names in them: Update, Add-On, Aroma Add-On
2. Put the zip, or two zips in your Download folder in your Internal Storage
3. Power off your phone and boot in the recovery mode, do this by: Pressing Power + Home + Vol Up keys at the same time
4. When you're in the recovery mode, mount these partitions: Data, Cache, System
NOTICE! Don't mount the Internal Storage, or you'll erase your photos, downloads etc.
5. Select the option Clean to Install a new ROM
6. After that, locate your ROM, persumably in your Download folder, and select to install it
7. If nothing happens and you get a buttload of text displayed, that means your ROM is installing
8. If a graphical setup launches, that means the dev has considered to give you some options, choose wise
9. After the flash don't restart the phone if it prompts you
10. Wipe Cache and Dalvik/ART Cache, otherwise you might cause your phone to be in a softbrick state
I have a doubt, I always see G920F written in some things, but my device is G920I. Is there any problem I use anyway?

Samsung GT-I9060 Phone Stuck at Battery Charging Animation

I have a Samsung phone model GT-i9060 with Android 4.4 and suddenly one day phone suddenly switched off and refused to start.
On powering on it would get stuck to this battery animation screen:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
On holding the Power+VolDwn+HomeKey I get this Warning screen with two options to continue to recovery (VolUp) or reboot
and selecting either of those options leads to these following screens: recover mode boot screen
But nothing happens then, It switches off again after 5-10 seconds on both the screens and I tried
Code:
adb devices
during all those stages but phone is not detected on PC
I need to recover some critical data from this phone which is paramount. Can someone guide me as how should i proceed with data recovery or extraction?

Seems to me that your issue is caused one of these 3 reasons.
1) the battery is failing
2) the internal sdcard is failing.
3) the internal storage is completely full and has no more room to cache files when booting or running.
If it caused by the lack of space to cache files, try booting into stock recovery then use the "wipe cache partition" option(do not choose the "factory reset" option) this will clear the cache and allow the device to boot if that was the issue.
If you know the exact firmware build number version that is currently installed on your device, you can download a copy of that specific build number firmware and flash it via Odin. As long as you use the exact version that you have, it should not wipe your data when you flash it. Then, if it works, you should be able to boot the device normally and retrieve your data.
If the issue is caused by a faulty battery or a faulty internal sdcard, it may fail during flashing, if this happens, it may render the device inoperable.
