Show support for root - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Guides, News, & Di

The other option we have is to use Kingroot to push development. While Kingroot doesnt work for our device, it will show the devs of Kingroot that our GS7 edge is in demand for an exploit. Let these devs know we want it bad. Run the app.

To my knowledge those roots are available for phones with unlocked bootloaders, which is simple, If we had an unlocked bootloader we would have had root since probably day 1

Indeed, but I'd take root without even an unlocked bootloader. I don't think that the kingo people are legit to root this device though!

What I'm trying to say is they use a really easy way to access root when the bootloader is unlocked ours is way more complicated

I rooted my remix ultratablet that doesn't have an unlocked bootloader with this root method.

I installed and ran it. It's worth a try.

I just tried it as well but it still says 659 ppls.

They were one of the first to root the z3 with a Locked BL. Wouldn't underestimate them.

Anyone know what the minimum amount of requests needed is for this to start?

Yeah but everyone said he doesn't do exploits and it seems like that's the only way we're gonna get something done with our phone. The only person I can think of that would be a great help is @beaups since (s)he unlocked the Verizon bootloader of the Note 4.

The best thing you can do at this point is continue to email tmobile executive office and ask them to open a forum on their website where their engineers can listen to our concerns and respond. I have already requested this at the office of the CEO

Locked Blaze Galaxy t769

This may be a very newbie question, but please help out if you can.
I have Blaze 4G T769 from T-Mobile, that I want to unlock. When I type in the code: *#7465625# I get this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",

Is that right? I saw pics that once a phone is unlocked, it will say [OFF], but my unit has no entries for any of these options???
I have rooted this phone -which worked; Then I did try to unlock it with Galaxy S Unlock, and Galaxy S2 Sim Unlocker - apps - which did not work.
So is this normal?
Thanks
Ok, I finally got a AT&T SIM to make sure the phone is unlocked. Once I used the AT&T card, I was again challenged to provide unlock password. Previously, I entered the unlock code using: #7465625*638*, but it looks like this was not respected, and/or did not stick.
So, I entered the unlock code again, then I saw 'requesting unlock request' message. Then I got the 'unlock successful' message.
To verify the unlock status: *#7465625#; however still nothing is listed. Oh, well...
So after all I got the unlock to work.
BTW: guys who provided the unlock code were: freeunlocks.com; Yes, you have to sign up for some crappy service, which you can cancel later.... but the price is right! The guys provide very good support as well.

Still running sweet on my dagger, when rooted another application comes bundled with the tool for rooting, seems to be a speed boosting tool to kill running apps, it's all in Chinese, but I deleted it with root browserwith no ill effects. Framaroot doesn't work with Kitkat and up yet, so for me this is the only application that works for me so far, so pleased with it so far. Looked thru system files and can't find anything strange or dubious yet.
The app that comes bundled is a superuser alternative not an 'app booster'. To be honest, I haven't had the nerve to uninstall the app as I don't understand the implications as I don't speak Chinese! Can it somehow remove root on uninstallation?
Usefully..tq

S7 edge port

I was looking through the international thread, they have a few of s7 edge ports. I'm not a developer, hopefully someone can tell me why we haven't gotten this yet.
Possibly because it's up to anyone able to do it, wanting & taking the time to do it.

So, now we have a good mm kernel, thank you @UpInTheAir
I tried a s7 port river rom it said no sim which equals no data . It's a nice rom i like it alot things seems very fluid. I flashed the fix we have but it's not for marshmallow so it will just stay at the the splash screen.

You need to flash stock Lollipop. I'm not positive, but the 5.1.1 tot file may be in tung's root thread

The root method will not work because the tot file is for Android 5.1 not 6.0. I am currently unsure if you can return to root Android 5.1 from Android 6.0 with tungkick root tot. Has anyone tried this to see if you can downgrade and root?
