Is it these system apks from XXUAMDE very different from newer XXUAME2 firmware ?
If not, please, tell me wich system apk is stock internet browser. I have problem with it (after rooting i cannot close windows inside browser if more winows opened, one window too. Say "internet error"), and i suppose must reinstall this system apk.
Thanks forwarding.
Best regards
I have been trying to change the boot animation on my galaxy trend plus but nothing seems to work. I deleted the stock boot animation and tried putting new ones but nothing seems to work on my device. I created a new animation using the Samsung theme designer and even tried downloading new qmg files but nothing works. I've also tried with the zip files but nothing still... I also can't seem to find the stock ROM anywhere... Help please.
You can find the stock roms on official samsung website!
I sent you a PM with the address.

Changing the boot animations requires root access. You can either flash a new animation using a custom recovery or use an app like Boot Animations by JRummy Apps.
The stock firmware can be downloaded from sammobile.com/firmwares
Just enter s7580 where it says: "Search device here" and choose the latest firmware for your region and carrier.
Or go here: sammobile.com/firmwares/2/ and choose your model and again country and carrier and download the latest version.
To flash the stock firmware you can use Odin. You can find a lot of tutorials on that on the net, youtube and here on XDA.
Where I can download custom Rom for s7580.?

Hi Karsin. I change the boot animation using the Matrix theme boot animation that I found in this page:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2349033
I replaced the files bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg with the new ones into the system/media directory and it works really good!
I hope that it'll be helpful

This is unbelievable but I've just been from one end of the internet to the other (even used Bing!) and can't find anything at all about how to change the splash screen on the n9005.
Anyone here knows anything about it?
Is it simply an image file (like in the S2) that can be replaced? if so, anybody knows the path? file name?
or is it encoded into the kernel?
I'm lost!
Please help?
Try searching for 'boot animation'.. you'll find lots

I think he's referring to the splash screen which reads 'Samsung Galaxy Note 3' with the model number below.

Well, you can't change that.. it is embded in the chip. No software can change it

On my Sony Xperia Arc S, the splash screen was part of the kernel and could easily be edited. Unfortunately I am not aware how the system is on Samsung phones.

I have been trying this since 2 years back using my S3, but failed. In previous version of Samsung devices it was pretty easier as the developers came out with an app to mod your splash screen. By they way, the splash screens are in qmg format. In current devices, its not possible. In fact I tried asking one of the developers to mod the splash screen and the rejected my request as it can cause your device to be dead(sorry I couldn't figure out any better term ). Its a risky, impossible process
Hi, it is possible to create your own animations to boot from a zip file.
For this you must look here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/general/how-to-create-qmg-boot-animations-t2217795
For your information the file you are looking for is in the system folder / media / shutdown.qmg
You can either create bootanimations that splash screen with the software.
I hope that this will help a little

He is not referring to bootanimations, he is referring to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SPLASH screen.
Oh sorry I'm a little tired :silly:
splash screen...
Thanks for the replies guys.
So, no one actually knows for sure where this image is hiding?
My guess is that is is encoded in the kernel (and then can be modified by compiling a custom kernel) but I don't have the knowledge to do this.
In the old Galaxy S2 it was simply a jpg file (called "logo.jpg"). I wish Samsung has kept it that simple!
Any developers out there wants to take this challenge?
Hi.
I am new on this forum and I tried to find the solution on this forum and many others. There is no straight answer what to do.
Ok. So I bought Samsung Galaxy S5 from Honkkong. They cheat me because I ordered different model (SM-N920C) and received very wird model because in "About Phone" is SM-N920F model. I though that is a fake but I checked all Samsung codes, benchmark etc. and it look as an original headset.
When connecting to BST smart tool it shows (SM-N920V) and when checking IMEI on imei.info website it shows different headset (samsung galaxy s6 edge SM-G920F).
I can't make an updates and I stuck with lolipop 5.1.1 and can't even use my VR as don't have com.facebook.system and manager files in applications. Even don't have show system apps option.
Can't use banking apps as well.
Beside that phone is working fine but I wan't to unlock this options. The problem is that if I will restore this phone to factory settings or will install other firmware( even custom) then phone will lock to Verizon.
I am looking for help. I don' know it's possible to install only com.facebook.system files or other method.
I have BST smart tool so I can try reasonable solution. This is the only headset that I have.
Regards
Marcin

As the title says, I'd like to know how to change the google pixel spash screen, instead of the stock one I'd like to use one made by myself because with PA rom would look much better (see attachments).
I had an S6 but the procedure was different, also nexus 6 has a different file/location where to edit the file, so does anyone know how can I do this with a pixel?
Thanks in advance.
I don't think you can on the pixel, or no-one has yet that I know of, it was easy on the Nexus devices, boot animation is easy to change (root)

Yes I know how to change the bootanimation, but the screen I meant was the one before, the "Google logo".
I'll hope to find a guide.
Good luck, ,I really don't think this can be done[emoji3]

Somebody find how to do it? I'm in Android pie because in Q my pixel heat and reboot
